Usually Bayern don't have to deal with a chairman who is more obsessed with his own reputation than the good of his club though.I can see this happening, Bayern aren't letting up with the pursuit so they must of had positive talks with kane himself and usually when Bayern set their sights on someone they usually get it over the line
I am not suggesting he should stick to England. If he waits one year, that opens the door for Spain too. Barcelona will probably need a Lewandowski replacement and who can predict what Real will do. I'd say that's a more prestigious stage for him to play at and almost guaranteed trophies as well. The problem is other clubs he can consider in England are in different stages of rebuilds and might not win the league or CL in the next 5yrs
In the next 4yrs it won't be strange to see City win 3 and one of the 5 other clubs win the other PL title. So unless Kane picks the exact other club asides City that will win, his entire career might be without a major trophy or just Carling and FA cups
When did Bayern ever set their sights on someone of this caliber? They barely ever make this type of transfer.I can see this happening, Bayern aren't letting up with the pursuit so they must of had positive talks with kane himself and usually when Bayern set their sights on someone they usually get it over the line
I get the impression that the Kane brothers are playing this a bit smarter than their last contract fiasco. Basically, keeping all options open. If Bayern (or ourselves) agree a fee, fine. If they don't and Spurs are pants this season (likely); fine, free to any club he chooses. If they don't and Spurs launch a title challenge (unlikely); fine, new contract. There we go. The man likes being the big fish in a small pond, just leave him be and stop allowing him to pretend he cares about trophies or team success
Any NBA watcher sees how Charles Barkley gets talked down for not winning a ring

Bayern have Kanes commitment. If it comes to an agreement on the finances, the deal is going to happen. I interpret the delays as Tottenhams intention to milk every €, doubt they will go as far as making the deal go bust tbh. Expect a result by the end of the week, latest.Bayern seeming unusually naive in how they have approached this potential deal. Like they didn't fully appreciate who would be on the other side of negotiations and the nature of the player involved.
Do they have a back up number 9 option to pivot to?
All time leader in PL goals record will be broke by Haaland one day anyway. I would go for more trophies and wages.Would you rather be remembered for winning a couple of Bundesliga titles or becoming the all time leader in premier league goals? If he stays one more year he gets a pick of host of clubs he can go to next year for free and get an even bigger signing bonus!

He doesn’t have to stick around for very long, perhaps another 6 more seasons he could break the record. It won’t, Haaland won’t be sticking around for the long term at City.
Are Bayern really going to pay over £100 million for a player that they could start negotiating a free transfer with in five months time?
I'm afraid having Kane's commitment doesn't count for a lot when Levy is at the other side of the negotiating table. City thought this was the way to go previously as well. It can be as much about ego as it is about money with Levy in the transfer market. I hope Bayern take him, but I would not be confident given Levy's and the player's past.Bayern have Kanes commitment. If it comes to an agreement on the finances, the deal is going to happen. No official plan B by Bayern, at least not publically.
would you rather spend your wednesday nights on the pitch, playing Real, City, PSG and Barcelona, or would you rather watch it on the tellyWould you rather be remembered for winning a couple of Bundesliga titles or becoming the all time leader in premier league goals? Competition would be bigger next summer and Kane would probably demand a 40m signing fee. This window is Bayern's only chance to get him.Are Bayern really going to pay over £100 million for a player that they could start negotiating a free transfer with in five months time?
It kind of is though. Dortmund, Leverkusen and Leipzig have each lost their best player already in this window and Bayern have already strengthened their defence. Considering they score over 90 goals in the league last season, it doesn't seem like goalscoring was really an issue at all.Given they needed an 86th minute goal and Dortmund capitulating at home on the final day of the season to win their last title, and they haven't strengthened the biggest weak point in their team (striker), I would say it's not a given they'll win without Kane.
It won’t, Haaland won’t be sticking around for the long term at City.
I like the idea that Kane (or possibly his brother) might ring up Haaland out of the blue to discuss this before he makes a decision. He doesn’t have to stick around for very long, perhaps another 6 more seasons he could break the record.
Harry amazing person I admire
Or, you know, he’s just happily married and doesn’t understand why everyone wants or expects him to move on.A ‘amazing person I admire’ shares what he ‘has’ with other people…
Kane is more like a horny housewife with a fiercely possessive, paranoid husband who wants to get divorced and be with other people, but is trapped in a crappy sexless marriage.
So, Harry Horny Depressed Housewife is more fitting.

It’s what I’m feeling ever since this saga started. He’s happy there. I don’t think he actually wants to leave.I doubt that tbh.
I assumed you were a Spurs fan from reading that.Competition would be bigger next summer and Kane would probably demand a 40m signing fee. This window is Bayern's only chance to get him.

Why would this window be Bayern's only chance? And why would a £40m signing-on fee (assuming it was that much) be an obstacle when it is a fraction of his transfer fee?
I’d love to be wrong. Would love to have him at Bayern. But before he actually signs, I will expect him to remain where he is.Nah, cmon.
Don't understand why he wouldn't just see his contract through and see what his options are next summer, he will have his pick of teams even at 31. Big sign on fee, big wages.
He doesn't owe Spurs anything at this point, if they don't want to sell at £80 million now then that's the clubs problem.
I'd be surprised if Kane left Spurs, amazed even if he went aboard.
I don't think he has got the balls for it.
Wash your mouth!I assumed you were a Spurs fan from reading that.
