Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

Is it possible for Kane to stay and not sign a contract if this Bayern bid falls through?

We pick him up free next summer

I think he loves Spurs enough to not go on a free - I think he will only do this is Levy pisses him off.

If it’s between that, the chance of getting booed and losing to Barcelona at Real or leaving for another Prem side and winning nothing anyway, it’s the path of least resistance.

No one will be able to say he hasn’t won the league, because he will have done.

Well...'a' league.

Looks like Levy will be too stubborn to entertain Premier League bids or interest. I still think Kane will stay at Spurs and will sign a new contract. I don't personally think he has it in him to take the plunge and make a move to a different country and different league, even if he is guaranteed a league title with Bayern.

Wherever he goes and whatever he does, I don't really care unless he comes to us or looks to be heading that way. Can't be arsed with a long Summer saga, which I imagine this will be.

Kane will go to Bayern and I think it’s a great move for him. They’re fast becoming one of the best teams in the world, they’ll have a real chance at the champions league next year with Kane, Walker, Guerreiro, Laimer and Kim joining. They’re maybe one top winger away

The premier league isn’t important - the GOAT has never played here and it hasn’t effect him so Kane should just go to Bayern & try win something because it’s clearly valuable to get a league win wherever that may be than just only being one of the greatest of a league.

He can even come back in 3-4 years and break Shearer's record (he's 48 goals away) as you'd expect Kane to still be fit and good enough striker at 33/34 years old.

Happy if he comes to Bayern, without a striker the team is helpless. Only needs another world class winger and selling one or two past-it players and it would be perfect transfer window.

You will sign him

Great move for Bayern to replace Lewandowski for the next 4-5 years, guaranteed success bar the injuries from which he seem to recover pretty well.

Kane will lose hisEPL record and will need to move to Germany but easy titles in the pocket and good chance for Champions league every year.

Just wonder how much could be Bayern milked by Lewy..

Yeah happy he will finally win something but just wish it would have been with us instead

When he's finally off the table (this week) then hope we monitor Toney situation in January or keep tabs on Ferguson for next summer

Yeah, good points. I'd add Enciso to the list as Hojlund strikes me as more similar to Toney and Ferguson than to Enciso.

Interested to see how Ferguson pans out this season but Brighton will take us to the cleaners if he has a good one.

Who do you think would be the better fit for Erik out of Toney/Ferguson. We shouldn't see Hojlund as enough in the striker line

Good question. To be perfectly honest, and this is purely based on Youtube videos and stats, I'd go for Taremi before the night is over. He would help, take a bit of pressure of Hojlund and profile wise, he is supposedly great with bringing others into play but is a viable goalscorer himself.

Toney or Ferguson both look really promising, pretty sure Ferguson would cost a bomb. Think, Toney would be the safer bet and he has more to his game today but who knows, what will happen for Ferguson next year. Depending how ETH wants to play, I cant imagine, that we will add another young striker next year. There is always the MG topic hanging in the air, who will be part of the equasion.

Don't see a move for Taremi before window shuts

Me neither. And I do not consider it a mistake. But think, it would be helpful to add somebody, who could help to ease in Hojlund. A switch to United is already huge, now the added pressure of a big pricetag. Not the easiest challenge to take on.

Yeah would definitely be helpful

Think we all went into this window expecting us to sign him but it wasn’t to be. He’ll look back on his career and think why didn’t I move sooner.

He will be a great fit for you since you have a lot of pacey wide players and he loves feeding other attackers. His passing and link up is as good as it gets for a striker.

Signing Kim Min Jae too, I would have Bayern back up there for CL contenders.

Yeah two top class signings for them

Don't think many people expected us to sign him.

I suppose not but he's the kind of player United should be moving heaven and earth to get.

We would have IF there had been more encouragement, even if that happened then Levy would have made the valuation absolutely sky high compared to Bayern. I am convinced Utd wanted Kane to show he would push for the move but he never did so ended interest.

He's probably scared of Levy's shadow. It would have made the Berbatov transfer seem like the teddy bears' picnic.

Yeah but as I just said in another post he clearly didn't want to sign for us badly enough
Don’t think him pushing for a move would have made a difference to be fair. Levy was never selling to us in a million years. He doesn’t mind him going to Germany aslong as he gets a very good price for him.

Think it might have softened Levy's stance about selling to us,but hey never happened

I agree , i can't for the life of me understand why folk thought we could get him.
United were never in the driving seat unless Kane told Levy " I want to go to United". This obviously wasn't the case and Levy was never going to sell to us. We never got that scrap of info that Kane was interested so United backed out. Sensible all round.

I don’t even mean with Levy, I mean as a professional wanting to win something. It’s the easiest option and the one with the least pressure. That can be attractive to some personality types and I think Kane has proven that he lacks ambition by staying at Spurs so long. He just wants a trophy and this is easily the best option to do that.

Winning the PL isn’t open to him anymore. We are United supporters so we like to think otherwise, but it’s unlikely anywhere else but at City. He isn’t choosing the Bundesliga over the PL, he is choosing the guaranteed option.

No pressure at Bayern...
At many clubs it is okay to lose a match - not in Munich. And even if you win you should do that in a convincing way...

Else the media, newspapers, podcasts, fans will start to rotate. The whole focus of the sports media in Germany is on Bayern.
They will start to count minutes without goal when Kane will not score in two matches...
