Bayern don’t seem the type of club to spend 120m on Kane
I meant Bayern will offer lower than £100m and we could offer higher but Levy would rather miss out on a few million and sell to Bayern rather than us.

If Kane rejects Bayern for us then it’s not a few million. Either it’s £100m or free next year.I meant Bayern will offer lower than £100m and we could offer higher but Levy would rather miss out on a few million and sell to Bayern rather than us.

I know sadly. Just hypothetical if Kane did want to stay in the PL and move to us. It could happen if we convinced Kane. All reports say Kane is keen on the move and nothing says we are going to make a bid for him.

We’ve probably been monitoring / investigating the possibility of Kane every summer since he became a top striker.I'd like us to at least test the water: see whether Levy can be persuaded. It would be very annoying some time in the future to learn we never even investigated this. I do get a feeling Kane would be happy to come to us and prefers to stay in the PL
Obi-Wan : I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of spurs fans suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. It'd be real fun if Arsenal continue to challenge this season and Kane ends up signing for them on a free. Then goes on and win a title with Arsenal. Imagine the meltdown of Spurs fans. It'd be hilarious to watch tbh
that's different from actual saying: "Is there a price at which you'd sell him to us?" If levy says "no" or "£400m", so be it. I'd just hate to find out somewhere down the line, we hadn'tWe’ve probably been monitoring / investigating the possibility of Kane every summer since he became a top striker.

I'm not even sure Levy would accept £100m from us, he's rather take a £10-20m hit and sell to Bayern.

???Was Giggs? Even Rooney played well into his 30s.
Kane is an incredible professional. Why would you believe he looks after himself less than Benzema et al? Benzema was a Wildman in his 20s!???
Rooney had fallen off a cliff by the time he'd turned 30. Giggs had that skinny build which I think enables players to retain agility. See Robben, Willian, Fernandinho, Sheringham etc all maintaining a decent level well into their 30s.
Although Kane has never relied on pace and seems to look after himself, I don't think he will have the longevity of the likes of Ibra, Benzema, Ronaldo.
I never said that he looks after himself less than Benzema. I said that I don't think he will have the longevity of Benzema, Ibra or Ronaldo. These players are outliers. Alexis Sanchez looked after himself and still declined early, as many players do.Kane is an incredible professional. Why would you believe he looks after himself less than Benzema et al? I can guarantee if the execs at United got a sniff that Kane was doable then they would throw everything in to ensure they get him.
I still think this could be a late but fast moving one like Ronaldo was btw.
I reckon we will go for him near the end of the window. All or nothing situation.
Despite all the noise and posturing, it doesn't feel like he will really end up with us, at least to me. Mostly, he just doesn't seem the type for big change (exhibit A: staying at Spurs longer than anyone could ever rationalize), and a move to Germany plus learning German would be a drastic step for anyone, let alone an established player in his later career stages. I can't imagine him really going for it.Just doesn't feel like he will turn down Bayern

Well, at this point I'd double check if Uli Hoeneß told me the sky is blue.I just can't see Uli Hoeness talking with this much belief if he wasn’t confident about signing him

With the prices being quoted around for younger, prospects like Hojland, Kolo Muani, Ramos etc (£60-80m) who have plenty of risk attached, if there was a hint of getting Kane for £100m or less that surely is our best option this summer.
Even if it meant sacrificing in other areas of the team (eg. Not signing back up CB or DM) I think Kane’s impact alone will be greater than spreading the budget across say Hojland and Amrabat.
Spurs aren't selling to us for even £100m
I probably should have capitalised and bolded the big IF in my post.
Uli Hoeneß also told the world with full conviction that he would never commit tax evasion. We saw how that turned out. The man is old and will talk into any microphone put in front of him.I just can't see Uli Hoeness talking with this much belief if he wasn’t confident about signing him

he's probably gunnin for that premier league goal scoring record, spending even a season at Bayern would pretty much kill it completely, if he doesn’t go to Bayern soon it’s going to be an interesting last couple of weeks in the window and I think we could spring a surprise.
We better find £100m plus addons
Levy owns 30% of the company that owns 85% of Tottenham. He can do whatever he wants. He won't get fired.Feel like it's one of those where Levy will lose his job if Kane leaves for a free. You can't make a 100M mistake as a chairman where the decision is seemingly obvious to the whole world and still keep your job. He either signs a contract or leaves close to deadline day IMO.

Yeah the Rooney example is a very strange one to give as there are zero similarities between them. Rooney was never known to take care of himself and as such peaked at around 24. Kane on the other hand from what I've seen seems like the consummate professional who's game has never relied on pace or physical ability, which indicates he will be an Ibrahimovic rather than an Owen or similar players who declined with their physical abilities. He started to decline quickly from around 25-26ish years of age. No sign of that from Kane yet but it’s coming soon. Letting him leave for free should see proper levy out protests from spurs fans.
