Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

He wouldn't be the first spurs legend to come to us and win a few titles before they ended their career.

Given that his contract is coming to an end, I hope he gives Levy his word that he will stay and then walk away at the last minute.

I looked up his honours and he didn't even win a League Cup. Crazy for such a brilliant footballer. I believe that he wants a transfer this summer, but I don't think he is going to join us.

Where do you see him going

It's either us or Chelsea at this stage unless Real are looking to replace Benzema who is nearing the end of his career.

I think there is a good chance he will sign for us, he is the missing piece at this stage. If we got him now, I would be confident of a push for the title this season.

He won't leave until the summer

It's hilarious on RedCafe the have a transfer thread for him! with a load of posters being "we should and get him"

the lack of self awareness is incredible with them. Who the feck do they honestly think they are?! they think it's 2008 and everyone wants to join them.

they're as likely to win anything as we are! they last won 6 years ago under Mourinho! and that was a LC and EL they've been nowhere near the CL or PL in a decade! the fecking arrogance!

as if he'd die to go there and play at that dump! hilarious. we've been shit this season and they're fecking 2 points ahead of us! TWO feckING POINTS!

you have to laugh.
if he goes , he goes to Bayern.

The only thing stopping him from going to Bayern would be Shearer's record. I'm not convinced winning the Bundesliga a handful of times with Bayern is worth more than beating the record.

To be fair he could also get a reasonable shot at get the big ears so there's that incentive as well.

They’ll probably just trick him into signing another extension
You see Harry? if you sign this paper we will upgrade your MBE. The King himself has given us authority to do so. It is now up to you. Sign the paper within 5 minutes to lock this deal. Quickly! someone else is adding this to their cart!!

With him, we are serious title challenger.
But no way he comes here next summer. Bayern will be all over him
He'll be too close to breaking Shearer's record to go abroad unless it's Real Madrid who don't want or need him. He definitely isn't sacrificing that record for Bayern
He'll either stay at Spurs till his contract expires next year or join Utd/Newcastle if the latter gets CL Football

Said it months ago and my stance remains steadfast Kane should be our No1 ST target this summer
198 goals and 44 Assists in the PL alone at 29 playing for Spurs is a PHENOMENAL record only produced by elite level STs no matter how much people question his lack of major honors even though it's more attributed to the team he plays for. Luckily we didn't think that way about another North London ST in 2012 and we know how that went.
You will not find a better ST available on the market. Vlahovic is the only young ST whom if available is probably worth exploring over Kane if the price is right but even then Kane guarantees you bucket loads of goals, proven in the PL/CL, superb technical ability, aids in build up play, in his prime years and already has a connection/bond with the English Core at Utd so he'd settle into the team immediately compared to others like Ramos/Osimhen who'd likely need an adjustment period and would be near the £100m price tag which they're not worth.
With one year left on his contract £60-70M would probably be enough to get him maybe £80m at a stretch which isn't too bad for a proven world class ST at 29/30 when we paid £70m for a 30yr old DM who's bonafide world class.
Sign him up and we win at least one major trophy within 2yrs I'm sure. No better place for him to surpass Rooney and Shearer's goal tally than Utd:D

Don't think he'd prefer going to a local rival. We have a really good chance of snapping him up this summer.

We’ll give this one a go, I think.

I know that we should be targeting a young striker that will prove to be a long term investment that can be here a number of years, but there’s hardly a wealth of guaranteed options out there. I can’t think of one, to be frank.

Antony and Sancho are only 22. Martial and Rashford are 27 and 25. Amad is 20 and Garnacho is 18. You get the gist. If there’s a position in which buying a player in their prime, aged 30, is necessary then surely it is up top. Benzema and Lewandowski are proving this deep into their thirties.

With a year left on his contract, I think the club will go big in the summer (ownership and funds provided).

He's the closest to Benzema there is, wonderful player. Can score and create chances seems his injury problems are gone and he'll be 30 in the summer. So he has another 2-3 years at his peak at least since he's never been particularly fast.

If we can get him we should be all over it, for a reasonable fee obviously.

Don’t want him anywhere near us. He’s had so many chances to leave and now he’s 30 this year, injury record can’t be trusted, price tag will be astronomical and seems to be declining fast.

Spend the extra and go for Vlahovic or Osimhen.
Osimhen? The guy who is actually a sicknote? And isn’t even that good to begin with.
You also think Kane is injury prone? Here is my post from the other Kane thread.

For the the last 8 seasons Kane is averaging 45 games per season in all comps. He is also averaging more than 33 games out of 38 in the league. The lowest he played in the league was 28 games 3 seasons back which is still more than 70%. Last season he played 37 games out of 38. The season before 35 out of 38. This season he has played all games. What makes you say that he’s injury prone?

From their forum:
We are two points with a game in hand above Spurs. You take Kane out of that Spurs team, and put him in United's, and put Richarlison, or Martial up top for Spurs, and the gap would be about 20 points.

He's only 2 goals away from breaking the club record set by theate Jimmy greaves, after that I'd imagine a lot of that sentimental attachment will be evaporate.

Why are people expecting Kane to decline soon? We have two very similar comparators in Lewandowski and Benzema in the age bracket just above him. How have they done between 30-35?

Also Barca paid £40 million for a 34 year old Lewandowski with 12 months left on his contract. I’ve no doubt that £50-£60 million is the going rate for a 30 year old Kane with 12 months left. Levy will be desperate to sell on the summer so I think a deal at £50 million is doable.

How when even Newcastle will be throwing the kitchen sink at spurs in addition to the likes of city who can drop 70m and stick him on the bench…or 100m in the case of Grealish. No one is getting Kane for 50 they’ll have to wait another season. Should they get top 4 and keep conte he will prob stay should some signings come in to help.

The point is spurs fans, he’s been with you lot for 8 years and won bugger all. And isn’t likely to either.
Is he much more likely to win anything with you lot? On the basis of the last few years, probably not, or if yes certainly nothing major. That's the point they are making.

Maybe a league cup or something but certainly not the league or champions league which is really what he would be wanting to leave for. You guys may not like to accept it, I know Utd are a much bigger club than Spurs but in terms of actual results, they are pretty close to each other at the moment. There is not a dramatic difference on the pitch which is what matters.

If we get new owners with big pockets than yes, we'll be likely to win those 2 as well.

I think him dropping deep will really interfere with Bruno and his positioning so he wouldn't be the person I would go for to compliment the team, that combined with his injury record and amount of games played so far and the fact I don't see him at the top for very long makes it a no from me.

In the next 3 years? I highly doubt it.
I don't see why, we already have the make up of a very good team we have a pretty solid spine and add another wc midfielder in there which would make it one of the best even plus highly ambitious and as of now seemingly competent manager.

Give us a profligate transfer window to strengthen our attack and add some depth and I genuinely think we would be there or thereabouts of winning the big honors, I understand that fans tend to overestimate their teams capabilities but I genuinely think I'm being reasonable here.

He drop deep because he have to at Spurs. At a better team he would push higher. He would create less and score more.

All your rivals will strengthen as well though (including Spurs I HOPE), including lets not forget Newcastle who will be spending hundreds of millions every year and in a couple of years will be likely challenging for titles seriously. It's only going to get more difficult to win the league. I can see why he would go to City, I don't see as strong as argument as to why he would go to Utd apart from the fact he would remain in the Premier League if I'm being honest. That doesn't mean I don't think it could happen because it could. I just think that scoffing at Spurs fans for questioning why he would consider Utd AT THE MOMENT is probably unfair because when you look at it objectively they do have a point.

Not exactly how it works. If Kane says to Spurs, United have offered £50m, accept or I leave in 12 months for nothing. There has to be a price that works for everyone. I reckon around £50m is that price, maybe add-ons for goals, titles, champions league, etc., up to £80m, but £80m could be justified if he scores 40 goals and we win the treble again.

Things will be as simple as that. If we have a great season (4th and potentially Europa League) and Spurs are not in Europe (or 6th 7th), then he will leave for 50M.

Otherwise, if we are 5th 6th and Spurs are level with us, he will be chased by Bayern and will leave for 30M.

Levy will not accept anything less than 80 million in my opinion. He will let Kane leave for free if that's what it takes. Don't underestimate how stubborn Levy is - 80 million and he goes in the summer (possibly) or Spurs get another season with their best player which to Spurs is worth 80 million anyway (if he helps us get to champions league places). Anyone thinking they can get Kane for a penny less than what Levy values him at is living in a dream land.
