Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

Kane won't have many options in the summer, It's essentially either us, Bayern or sign a new contract at Spurs!

Of the three options I think a move here is what he'd prefer. Also he actually has the power now as he can tell Levy you either let me leave on my terms now or ill join a rival club for free next summer.

I honestly think we could get him for around £30 to 40 million in the summer.
Sadio Mane did a similar thing at Liverpool recently.

I don't see Kane wanting to go to Germany or anywhere outside of England personally whilst he has a chance to break the Premier League goal scoring record.

Keep dreaming

I think we can sell him the project of bringing us back to glory and being all time pl scorer better than Bayerns guaranteed league title and possible cl

Thats exactly as I see it. Those thinking anyone is spending 80-100m on a 30 year old Kane, who wants to leave, with one year left on his contract, are in cloud cuckoo land. Even in the crazy world we find ourselves.

Kane would be great if we had another goal scoring forward to mix it with him. Unfortunately this would have been great with Kane playing once a week.

Rashford—Bruno—Greenwood
———Casemiro—Ericksen———

A De Jong type would be good in the summer to help Ericksen as he looks spent.

We could but 30-40 million is a joke.
30 years old, 1 year left, in a post covid world.

And if you guys miss out on CL, which looks likely, you can bet your bottom dollar he'll push just as hard to leave which will unsettle a squad (which by that point probably wont even have a manager).

Good luck.

I can see us stretching to around £50m. But would be surprised if any club bothered with more. And therein lies an issue at your club of having a player who wanted out years ago, kicking up a fuss, and you risk losing him for free.

At least 80 million would be what I would expect Levy to want

I broadly agree with you. 70m was my number.

People are saying 'he'll just wait a year and go on a free' as though this has no consequence for the player, but it's a season he can't afford to waste. No point hoping that Levy will be reasonable and reward him for time served.

What he wants and what he might have to accept are two very different things. He is meant to be an astute businessman, so the question remains what is Kane worth to Spurs for one season.

That figure is a lot lower than £80 million and, whilst Levy might be able to get that if there is a bidding war, he also needs Kane to play ball. I suspect Kane will massively prefer to remain in England and if Levy is faced with a choice of £50 million next summer or nothing the year after, I think he will have to accept £50 million.

Something about signing Kane is deeply unappealing.

His performance in many games, especially since Poch had them playing good stuff are not great points in his favour. Yes he has the argument that Spurs and England do not always play very well, but he's still associated with both of those sides. He seems to produce great stats but within stale footballing sides, at least in recent history. It's kind of an awkward fact for him as it is hard to identify how much he is a contributor to that tumescent football.

Then there's the overall package it would require to tempt him here and his age. Not for me I don't think and it doesn't strike me as very ten Hag.

Absolutely no chance Levy accepts that. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I'm just telling you that Levy won't accept a penny less than he feels Kane is worth.

Harry Kane after the WC and this season is probably worth 40/50m max. Clearly losing the slow speed he had and doesn't really press either.

Spurs are going to be in trouble replacing him.

Leave him where he is.

We need to be looking for the next great striker, in the 22-25 age bracket.

Well time will tell. Maybe all is moot if he decides to extend, or stay for the last year of current deal, or goes somewhere else outside of PL.

His replacement if he does go is already at the club

All very well, but there are probably only two in that age bracket that guarantee goals in the way Kane does... one of whom is at City, so unattainable, and the other would cost about £200m from PSG (and is really a left winger like Rashford anyway).

In my opinion, the best of the rest would be Osimhen (Sesko or Moukoko are still teenagers, although I would like to pick up Moukoko on the cheap, either now or for free in the summer). However, none of these are certainties, for example, Schik was looking good a year ago, but has gone completely off the boil recently. Barca just took Lewandowski (5 years older than Kane), and he is still performing (18 in 20), so why not us with Kane for a few years?

If you exclude the first two games of this season, we would be right up there, so I think we are only a striker and a few back ups from really challenging, and if Arsenal falter (they have a tough few weeks coming up), then we could get to within striking distance this year if we have a decent no 9. January bid of £60m plus add-ons???

I'd say go for it if they can get him in the 50-60m range. Much like RVP with one year remaining at 24m when you factor in the inflated transfer fees today, it's basically the same price.

RVP who had one superb season, then quickly dropped off a cliff?

I don't see any club spending £70m for him with 1 year left. If he has to stay another year at Spurs and leave on a free I can see him doing that quite easily. I doubt he will kick up a fuss but it might be the only way he will leave

Statement signing from the new owners. Right or wrong, I think we will sign him.

Wrong type of owners then. I don't think City or Newcastle automatically made big-name signings like that without giving thought to the team.

Don’t want him anywhere near us. He’s had so many chances to leave and now he’s 30 this year, injury record can’t be trusted, price tag will be astronomical and seems to be declining fast.

Spend the extra and go for Vlahovic or Osimhen.

He will definitely have suitors at 70m. The 1 year left thing is more important to Spurs than it is any prospective buyers, and 70m is not a huge transfer fee any more.

We need the right, next gen players. Harry will decline soon no need to spend crazy money

I think the boat has sailed with him, but this upcoming summer is basically now or never in terms of flying the coop so to speak.

If he’s a Spurs player come September, then he’s basically going to be ‘Shearer at Newcastle’ and stay there until retirement.

Kane will have to wait until his contract runs out now. Nobody will be spending the cash needed to convince Spurs to sell! especially not in the Prem.

He is a Striker at his peak, so I see him similar to Salah in that sense that from here on out he will decline a small amount each season...the very very best years are behind them IMO.
