Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

90 mil euros with add ons? IF that is the price, we should ditch Hojlund and pay for Kane.
I bet that with new owner we would be all over this deal.

There's no way Spurs will accept an offer from us if it's the same as Bayern's. It'll have to be crazy money, like £200m + lifetime supply of rogaine for Levy or something.

Not to derail things here or anything but I don't even think that stuff works. This is coming from a bald man

It is up to player too. Levy wanted to sell Bale to us because we offered 20 mil more but Bale wanted Madrid.
In this case it would be (probably) opposite. Kane would rather choose us. So we need to just match Bayern's bid.

no way levy let’s him come to us for the same as Bayern. It will be more expensive for us imo. He’d rather sell to them for 20mil less than to us. The one thing that’s really going for us is the PL record. That’s really worth something. I’m sure he’d love to top alan shearer. It’s levy that would make it difficult to us simply because we’re Man Utd.

United NEED to put a bid in, seriously
We have received no indication Levy is going to sell to a local rival.
Even if he is prepared to, we’d have to pay a massive premium on any offer from Bayern. There’s no point going down this route.

Kane needs to push for a move and no indication he's prepared to do that. I wonder will he want to go to Bayern or wait a season, continue to chase Shearer's record, and then have his pick of the Premier League clubs.

Good that Bayern are doing all the donkey work. When the price is agreed, and Levy is agreeing to sell, we can come in with the same price plus a free Martial :D

He’s been a shit executive for years that skates by off the reputation as a “tough negotiator” when in reality he’s just an idiot.

Go back and loook at Spurs transfer dealings in recent years. It’s shocking bar the Son purchase of… 8 years ago now

In those 8 years Spurs were regularly been in the CL, almost won the league and even went to a CL final. They managed to build a hell of a stadium of the back of the teams success too.

He is also the reason they might still get 100m for Kane now, he convinced 23 year old Kane to sign a 6 year contract.

If two clubs bid the same amount, can the selling club accept one offer and reject the other even if the bid is identical (Say all cash up front, no clauses for hypothetical), didn't know if there was some regulatory rule that stops clubs from discriminating? Would stop clubs selling below market value as an example and rejecting other bids as they have a better relationship with another club etc

Yeah they can, totally up to the club.

That's when Kane can put some pressure.

Assuming the player has no kind of buyout/release clause then the club can do whatever the hell they like.

Even for Bayern I can't see Levy accepting less than £95m. These bids seem like fantasy.

Doesn't really work if you're already bald, but is pretty effective with used in combination with finasteride to prevent further hair loss. So for Levy it would be no dice. We'd have to offer him the best hair transplant surgeon along with a lifetime supply of PRP appointments.

But anyway back on topic.

If Bayern really wanted him, they could just tell Kane to not sign an extension and have him signed on a free by January no? Granted they wouldn't have him for the season but they'd probably win bundesliga with me up top anyway.

Sure but if that's the case I'm pretty sure every top club including us would be telling Kane the same, and in that case going to Germany would seem unlikely

For anyone still running with the fantasy of us signing Kane this summer, it's simple: Whatever Bayern end up paying (if they get a deal done), go ahead and add 30-40m on top of that for us. At the bare minimum. Levy has been quite clear that PL rivals can feck off trying to sign him so it would take a godfather/irresponsible offer to get him.

Just park this thread for Jan to see if we can agree with him on a free next summer hopefully.

We are better at United we walked over hot coals to convince Maguire at 26 to sign a 7 year contract. Stop and have a think, the 2 longest contracts in the whole squad went to Maguire and Martial. Result "Darling"!…. "What" ? " Hand me a bottle of whisky"

Very un-Bayern like to get involved in such high transfer fees

Absolutely, but I think they've also realised they're not going to compete with City or Real Madrid with an average striker. Winning the Bundesliga with Choupo-Moting isn't a problem, but winning CL with him is entirely different.

Kane is the only real world class striker available, and he'd actually be a fantastic fit for them. It's a bit of a risk for them with Kane's price, though, as it's hard to say when his decline begins.

How available is he really?

Dan Levy withstanding and all

That only works one way (rejection).
You realize Levy can tell Kane no right? My goodness people
And Kane can say no to Bayern. So it will up to Levy same amount of money from United or lose Kane next summer for free.

People and media are really making Levy as some kind of boogeyman. Levy this, levy that and shit.

You think Bayern would be offering money to Tottenham without having a deal in place with Kane?

I think the key to him leaving is the new manager. If the manager green lights it and thinks it's best ripping off the plaster with money to spend Now, it might swing it.

Bayern did not even talk to Barcelona after they bid twice for Lewandowski. After the third bid the discussions started (payment without installments etc.)- and the fourth bid then was accepted...

Weird to me. I'm not sure I'd be enthused about joining Bayern if I was Kane. Winning their 46th Bundesliga in a row. I mean really, if you don't win a CL which is always tough then you really haven't moved the needle. Would sooner run my contract down and have many top clubs interested.

Can see him sign a 3-year contract, come back to the PL at the end of the 2nd year at 32 years old and sort his unfinished business. He’ll win a couple of Bundesligas to try to shut everyone up, and Bayern will get about €40m.

Oh yeah there would be a significant premium to be paid compared to what Levy would quote Bayern that's for certain

Agreed. I for sure won't blame him for doing it, but I'd see him making a different choice.

How does Levy have a stranglehold on Spurs? I don't know a lot about them. Should he be replaced?

This year Bayern won the league only by goal difference. We haven't won the league cup in 3 years. In terms of winning CL, I only see City and Real above us in terms of chances atm, both are not pursuing Kane.
