Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

Makes me laugh when Goldbridge on his show tonight thought we could go back for Kane at end of August with Qatari money after signing Hojlund

Last time I saw anything of his was towards the end of last season when he was basically calling people xenophobes for suggesting De Gea should be replaced because he wouldn't suit a more modern footballing approach, and that Martial was done.

Regular genius that guy.

Anyone who actually gives him remote value is a collosal idiot.

Tbh I found this quite strange for Bayern. When was the last time they paid more than 50m for a player? Let alone one who would be soon 30 and has only one year left in his contract. Maybe they see Kane as crucial in their CL campaign next year I think. Surely they don't need Kane to win the Bundes.

Anyway come on Levy, be yourself get stupidly greedy again and ask Bayern for 125m. So Bayern get pissed off and drop the deal :D
They paid a lot more than 50m for de ligt and around 80m for Lucas Hernandez just before that.

Whilst I do see Levy eventually selling, I do think it'll be abroad. It's a shame, but maybe in the long term it might be better if we spend less on a Hojlund.

You have to think that our ownership situation is definitely hampering our ability to put in a competitive bid for him.

feck the glazers.

Hernandez €80m (5 years ago?).
De Ligt €80m
Sane €60m

Tony O Neill said pretty much that too but not sure I believe it will make us take action
It would be really satisfying if some other club was being used as the stalking horse for once, rather than us

Well it will certainly be abroad if nobody from the Premier League actually test the theory. Assuming we actually have the money then I still think we may well step in with a bigger offer if/when Bayern get closer to Levy's valuation. Bayern will absolutely not get into a bidding war, and cold hard cash could start to sway Levy when it really comes down to it.

What I mean is they're usually very smart and shrewd with their transfers. They hardly ever overpaid. Tbh I couldn't find any in the last 10 years or so I think.

Come on Levy :D

It’s one of the top 2 strikers in the world for under £100m. It’s a no brainer for any club with the money.

Yes. Don’t go believing random nonsense.
Don't go believing the financial results that had to be posted accurately and fairly yesterday? including the fact that FFP is hindering us from multiple top journalists that cover United?

I’m struggling to work out how journos worked out our ffp budget when only two quarters were announced. Fortune tellers maybe?
These are the same journos who claimed we had 60m odd to spend last summer. Why do we believe them now?

So you don't believe any of the stuff that came out about De Gea yesterday?
Or any of the Mason Mount stuff that's going on?

I believe transfer stories yes but I don’t believe their ffp number when they got it so wrong last summer

What changes if he is forced to stay this summer and leaves next year?
I’m pretty sure this isn’t down to Kane

I believe that Levy is not as suicidal as he seems. I presume that, in case of a good season by Tottenham, he might believe that Kane could extend his contract.

Even if they get 80-90mil for him, they will need to reinvest a majority of that into a striker signing and the replacement will not be even close to Kane's quality. In a way, they will be in the same boat as us - having to spend big money on unproven players.

What is a good season for Tottenham? Tottenham were having a great season by their own standards until near the end and he didn't sign a new contract. He ain't signing a new contract. Tottenhams choice is to sell now for a lot of money or lose him for nothing. That isn't as easy a choice as it sounds however due to how vital he is for them. They wouldn't be able to replace him with even 75% of the quality and thats ignoring his almost telepathic relationship with Son so that would probably lead to a drop in Sons output.

I will eat my hat if he isn't a free agent next summer or sold this summer.

no player lasts forever. spurs have had years to plan for his inevitable decline or departure but they haven't got a contingency. they could have been bringing a couple of younger strikers through to replace kane but they chose not to. the situation is one of their own making, and now they'll have to spend large to replace the irreplaceable. as for kane, the smart move would be just finish out his contract and let the offers roll in next season, providing he stays injury free.

Haaland. Lewandowski is up there as well of course but he is approaching the tail end of his career and obviously isn’t about to go back to Bayern.
I got what you mean now. I thought you mean there was another one available for under 100m :D

Desperate for Kane to leave.

The record will be broken anyway, if not by Kane then someone else. There are more goals scored in football than ever before, I think in 20 years time players scoring 100 goals a season will be super common.

Kane should just leave, trophies should mean way more than the goal record, he will get multiple honours with Bayern definitely.

Bayern will need to be in the £100m range and even then he might just say nah.

Really hope that bold cnut would think the same.

Imo if Spurs ask anything more than £80m Bayern gonna walk. Unless they see him as their missing piece to win the CL next year.

When you are the best player of your generation it's pretty shitty to have to leave your own country to win a bleeding trophy (unless that's something that you particularly want to do obviously). It really shows a) how loyal Kane has been to Spurs, b) how loyalty isn't always reciprocated in football, and c) how inexpertly his career has been managed by his advisors.

Feel for Aussie Ange. I'm conflicted, I want him to succeed as he is a fellow Aussie and is doing some unprecedented things... But on the other hand it's the Spuds.

That's what happens when you give your brother a make-work job as your agent.
