Harry Amass

Think this would be the right decision for all parties. He’s not going to get minutes in the first team and even if he dropped down to say L1 or even L2 level, the games would develop him more than U21s or U18s.

But I believe he would do well in the Championship or League One.

Think that’s Ugarte, not Amass. You can even hear Fletch saying ”M a n u, M a n u”…
It's not Ugarte, put your volume up, Mainoo would not admonish Ugarte and Fletcher praises Mainoo.

Watch an interview of Amass same voice.

I don’t think Fletcher would call Kobbie by his last name, they never do. Everything I know about Amass makes me believe he wouldn’t approach the gaffer like that. Ugarte yes, because he knows him from Sporting.

Anyway I didn’t see anything in that video thinking someone wasn’t happy with someone’s attitude. Just some basic training banter.

I didn't see anything.
Watch Ruben's face as he is walking off a masked player approaches him, which I believe is Amass, says something and Ruben's smile instantly goes and he seems upset. Mainoo sees this come back and start grabbing and pushing the player.

Fletcher from far praised Mainoo for using his brain he points at the head and says well done. If that was indeed Amass, shows to me a bit of an attitude.

Here is an interview for an example of his voice:

We don't half make a fuss over nothing on here

Okay i am lost here. I have watched this 3-4 times and i see absolutely nothing happening apart from bunch of guys fooling around?

That's because nothing happened, and the player in question isn't even Amass.

It is Ugarte. Amass didn't even take part in training there. Only new academy player in that video is Kukonki.

Needs to make a lot of minutes somewhere on loan. Hope he comes good so we don't need to buy 2 left wingbacks in the future..

Amass is a very talented player, very good performance against Chelsea. Ideally suited to Amprims system but for some reason not currently being considered for a 1st team place. I see having been reassed in the summer, will need adult football on loan.

Seen as he doesn’t seem to be in the senior teams plans for a while, I’d love to see Amass go on loan to team playing European football in a less physical league like Portugal, Netherlands or Belgium. He could probably get regular gametime but also test himself out at against superior opposition in Europe if he makes a mark.

Luke Shaw regen. Type of player who might not even get a chance and we sell him for peanuts. Of course the next three years will be crucial in his development if he makes the step up. Needs a good loan in mens football. Then we can sell him with a buy back and finally use it. Let other team develop him and if his development is successful take him back.

Alvaro I dont see a point tbh, hes too slow for top tier. Kovar would be nice now as a more expensive no2 who could threat Onana.

Didn't I read that Kovar isn't the starting keeper at his current club? I just found this link: Not good for Kovar at 24. Think Vitek has more upside?
https://www.transfermarkt.com/matej-kovar/leistungsdaten/spieler/550829
Kovar starts in Europe while Hradecky starts in the league. Vitek is more commanding, but Kovar is better with his feet. They both have good prospects. 24 is not too late for a keeper and i suspect Kovar is going to step into the 1st team fully very soon as Hradecky turns 36 by the end of this year.

I'm not sure what sort of level Leon will be at next season, but if he has a Kone like adaptation in terms of spending the majority of the season in the under 21's, could we not just use Amass as deputy/competition for Dorgu?

I'd also like to see us use Kamason as depth/competition to Quenda (potentially), although there would always be the temptation of using Amad there instead and to get another number 10 in the side.

We can if we think he's ready. At this moment I guess the club seems to think Amass is not yet ready physically for it. Ten Hag looks like having some plan to train him up, but of course he was fired before anything happened and Amorim is currently seems very reluctant to throw youngsters in due to the current state of the squad.

Not sure if many will have seen it, but in extra time in a cup match an Arsenal player went through, pinged a shot which the keeper parried off to the left of the box. Arsenal player closing down at speed, Amass gets there first and...non-chalantly does a trick to leave the Arsenal player on the ground and carries it calmly upfield.

The absolute confidence, at that moment in a big match is ludicrous. Every other player I can think of would have simply hoofed it into touch.

He has real ability. Now, can he sort out positionning and awareness to make it at the top? Dunno. But the kid is an absolute baller.

He’s clearly going to be a very good player. Got fabulous technique, a very accurate passer. I do think he hasn’t quite got the physicality yet for first team football, whether that be at United or on an other loan. However in 6-12 months things could be very different

Amas had a brilliant game against Arsenal, they couldn't get near him. I thought he was very good defendcely as well. I can't understand why he doesn't get an opportunity with at least a few minutes in the 1st team.

Well if you ignore the goal he gifted Arsenal by completely falling asleep :) Apart from that he had a really good game - but you can't give away goals like that if you want to play at the highest level

I wouldn't agree the goal was his fault as it came through the middle with both chs out of position and way too slow.

Look where the Arsenal-player starts his run from - and look at Amass' reaction.....or lack of.

I think another factor we have to take into account is that our attacking talents in the 17-18 year old range have been getting injured. Shea Lacey is the attacking talent from the Fletcher, Amass, Devaney, and Fitzgerald group. Of the group slightly older is the Wheatley, Williams, Musa, and Biancheri etc... group, but they are not of the same level as the previous group. With the Mantato, Chido, and Ibragimov group, it's still a very young group so much that they would be pushing Greenwood limits of early introduction to the first team level, and apart from Chido, were all injured for long periods in the last year.
