Hannibal Mejbri - Manchester United Player

If we don't give him game time next season then it'd be easily understandable why young emerging talents would rather go to clubs like Dortmund as I have no doubt he'd be starting games for them at this stage of his development and people will continue complaining about our scouting networks.

I can't see James or even Mata starting ahead of Mejbri... if so we're going backwards and EL final is absolute maximum for this club.

I don't think we'll go for Grealish. Too much money involved and we already have good players in the position he operates in best.

We're not City, we won't be stockpiling like that anytime soon with the Glazers still around.

Even if the Glazers sell out, the new owner won't be able to stockpile regardless especially after the price he/she has to pay unless....

There we go, first Arab to play for United

By Arab I mean a player who represents an Arab national team. Fellaini played for Belgium and if I’m not mistaken El-Fitouri never played for United’s first team.

Anyone know if I’m missing someone?

Wayne Rooney.

El Fitouri played for Syria when he was still on our books iirc

I watched the full ceremony via YouTube, and along with Hannibal, Omar Rekik (Arsenal) who is 19, was also introduced. But that poor lad didn't get the welcome that Hannibal got.

They couldn't find even one elephant for him to ride in on? Wasted opportunity...

It's just poor thinking by whoever made the decision to have that kind of presentation. This is still a very young man and he's presented as some kind of rock star already with having barely kicked a ball. I also don't know how well that's going to help ingratiate him with the international players. If I was his management, and I had nothing to do with this presentation, I'd have a word with whoever did.

I agree, it's heaping too much pressure on him and raises expectations. It would've been best to keep things low profile but it seems the Tunisian FA couldn't contain their excitement.

To be honest this hype is giving me Adnan Januzaj vibes. Wasn't there was a battle between Belgium, Albania and Kosovo for his services? I remember thinking he was milking the attention at the time. Someone please tell me this isn't going to turn out like that.

Check out his unveiling for Tunisia...

That's seems like quite something for a player that has barely played at top level...I mean Tunisia is by no means a strength in football but damn that seems madly exaggerated.

How stupid of the Tunisians? He's 18 and they are bigging him up already? That's what happened to Adnan Januzaj when he was being pulled by various FAs and I suspect his head got too big after.

I have to admire the young man as he has more than likely forfeited any chance of playing in a major international competition to play for his true national team,
I dip my lid to the kid.

No doubt Marcus having a fantastic influence on him to show he can make a real difference. Love to see more of this from younger players.
This is a trend among younger sportspeople. Have to be proud of them to be thinking so conscientiously about other things in society

Yep, can't guarantee I would have done the same, as much as I'd like to think I would have!
