I think it is.
Agreed. Eventually he'll be able to use his dribbling from deep to ride passed the press, will be very helpful.
Agreed. Mark my words. He will be a no. 8.

That's why I think he's almost a bit of a hybrid between Pogba and Grealish. He lacks Pogba's physicality but he's got a sumptuous passing range and very good vision, his pass against Blackburn was one of the assists of the season. For anyone interested in the assist it's for the second goal in this video:The Grealish comparison does hold weight in the attacking third. But IMO, Mejbri also has a passing range which enables him to be dominant in the deeper phases of play, when it comes to building the play.
More Clarence Seedorf than Nasri IMO.Samir Nasri?
Nasri is neat and tidy. But, Hannibal is like a glider when he makes ball-carrying run. As smoothly as you can demand. A different level of the whole package if he can fulfill his potential in pro football.Samir Nasri?
He's a more nimble Modric. Which. makes him a hell of a player. The Grealish comparison does hold weight in the attacking third. But IMO, Mejbri also has a passing range which enables him to be dominant in the deeper phases of play, when it comes to building the play.
I think his future lies in midfield. He's had a lot of great performances at midfield, and the only reason why some feel he's better on the wing is because all of his recent (which has been a lot of matches) are all in that position. He did perform better in that position transition period on the wing, but that is too short to make any conclusions.
Bellingham was given game time at the Championship level where as Mejbri is playing at United. It was easier for Bellingham to be given the chance at first team level in England, and once he already had that experience, Dortmund had no problem giving him time.
Foden didn't play much at his age. Pogba didn't even play much for United at age 18. He's similar to Mejbri in that he was brought from France at age 16 and didn't get his debut until he was 18 at United. Didn't really get much chances until he went to Juve at age 19. Mejbri is 18. So Pogba is not an example of doing something Mejbri didn't. He had an impact at 19.5 years old, not 18.5. Many of us argue he could have done it at 18.5 years old if given more game time, but he was never given the chance and so we'll never know. Same with Hannibal.
Greenwood and Sancho are probably the best examples you can use. But it's not like Mejbri has been given the same minutes to prove himself at first team level. It's the coaches decision.
Maybe if he was given 2-3 starts (which would still be harsh) and then didn't do well, you could make that argument. It's incredibly harsh to simply make the argument based on one 15 min cameo.

I remember reading somewhere that Monaco stuff actually misbehaved with Hannibal's Mother. Our french scout actually tried for a year to build relationship with his family which convinced them to come to United.Monaco messed up in whatever happened between them and his parents, because United got a gem on their hands. I would have liked to see him with Atchouemani with Monaco, I'm sure he could have gotten a bit more playing time there by now, but if he's showing this kind of intent in the cameos he's given, I can see him getting more and more games under his belt at the professional level starting next season. I can almost already see him turning up for France at the Euro 2024.

Part of the reason United have always succeeded in producing young players is the way they handle their development. We've had a few examples in recent years where we've deviated from that and given one or two of them too much too soon, which has given them the premature impression that they've already made it. Getting a squad space for a European final based on a 10 minute cameo in a dead rubber league game would be a step down that road for Mejbri.Surely deserved a place in the Final squad more than Grant or Bishop... or do we really need 4 keepers.
That's what a lot of The Caf who don't watch the U23 games will not have had the pleasure of seeing yet - his long passing ability is crazy as well. He's the one I've really been itching to see play - so pleased for him. If it weren't for that incidental shoulder injury, I'm sure we would have seen more of him.The Grealish comparison does hold weight in the attacking third. Agreed. The Grealish comparison begins and ends in the attacking third. He has potentially more strings to his bow than Grealish, who is a brilliant player in the final third. That's what a lot of The Caf who don't watch the U23 games will not have had the pleasure of seeing yet - his long passing ability is crazy as well. For me he and Shoretire should understudy Bruno next season.
Is he declared for France or Tunisia?
With Will Fish?Tuna
Hannibal isn't eligible for Europa League B list yet to be able to play in that competition.Surely deserved a place in the Final squad more than Grant or Bishop... or do we really need 4 keepers.

Needs work, but same could be said of every player in that U23 side, and at this age, that part of the game can be developed. Offensively though, he's a dream. Was thinking the same. He could develop in a number of positions, and from what I've seen his workfare is pretty good too but maybe a more regular viewer of youth games can confirm this?
I have no idea what his defensive awareness is like either, but that's something he can learn...
Are you sure? He is eligible for Tunisia because of his father, but he was born in France, raised up in France, and represent France U-16 and U-17Tuna
Yeah, he's declared for Tunisia, think Dominic Booth confirmed it.Are you sure? He is eligible for Tunisia because of his father, but he was born in France, raised up in France, and represent France U-16 and U-17
You mean Tunisia?I thought he declared for Cod d'Ivorie
