Gun shots outside Parliament: Police shoot assailant following car attack on Westminster Bridge

:( May they rest in peace (excluding the attacker)

Just seen reports that French students amongst the casualties. Not saying what condition they are in, but the thought of school children with "catastrophic" injuries is fecking heart breaking.

I wouldn't think that would be the case. This is a political statement in the heart of British establishment. The morons have done it for the highest effect.

Strange timing though, if I can attempt to enter the mind of a psychopath/lunatic. I have been expecting something to happen in France ahead of the elections but I don't see what great statement this makes. Maybe just a reminder that "we're still here".

Or 'don't feel safe on your island'; so far attacks have happened mainly on the continent of Europe.

So 4 people dead including the attacker and a police officer. 20 others injured on the bridge. Some children and 3 other police officers who had been to a commendation ceremony.

One of the brood couldn't wait to use this to dogwhistle at Khan

Article is from September 2016. Trumps a cnut, kids a cnut.
Sadiq Khan has said he believes the threat of terror attacks are “part and parcel of living in a big city” and encouraged Londoners to be vigilant to combat dangers.

The Mayor of London revealed he had a “sleepless night” after the recent bombing in New York, and said major cities around the world “have got to be prepared for these sorts of things” to happen when people least expect them.

British press is hilarious. They say he was "Asian" in appearance. Then we see a picture of him. He's a bearded Arab dude. That newspeak over there is out of control.

How do Americans classify people from Asia Sub Continent? Is Pakistan and India considered A-rab?

Tom Peck of the Independent saying the attacker is suspected to be Trevor Brooks (Abu Izzadeen).

Half wit. A shame, but we'll always have a few.

It's all so unnecessary, but then again so is much of what the West has done over the last few decades... I wonder what's to become of everyone?

Shit like this.....I don't even know what to say. It's devastating. Just people going about their day and lives ruined forever. The part about children being involved I find completely overwhelming. Has brought tears to my eyes. Reminds me of how I felt after the Nice attack. Just senseless and disgusting. This makes me so fecking angry.

RIP to all the victims, thoughts with their loved ones, and just a whole lot of love for those surviving with terrible injuries. I can only hope that they make full recoveries.

I'm British, not American, but I think Americans associate "Asian" with SE Asia and the Far East (and "South Asian" for India, Pak etc), whereas, in the UK, the first association of Asian is someone from the sub-continent. So, it's some internet warrior misunderstanding British English and using it an an excuse to attack political correctness and fake news.

You do realise that most of the Middle East is part of Asia right? And talking about 'Arabs' Saudi Arabia is definitely in Asia so Arabs are Asian.

There's a time and place for political point scoring. The immediate aftermath of a deadly attack, is not it.

Crazy, I work at St Thomas and sometimes work in the A&E department there. Not today though my colleagues tell me the hospital went into lockdown.

Hope the rest of the victims pull through. This is horrific.

Pass a big thanks on to your colleagues. The situation must be very stressful for them too.

Its very sad that 4 people died and 20+ were injured. And its sad an event like this takes place at all.

However, I think the overwhelming narrative quickly needs to be how successful British Anti Terror security has become and how is brilliantly they handled this attack. Its heartening to know that would be terrorists are now reduced to lone wolf attackers who cant get close to prestige targets and can only use small gun and knives. They are no more than petty street level criminals.

Perhaps its impossible to stop that, but thats a long way since the days of hijacking planes and airports, embassy and hotel or shopping malls attacks.

The reports said he looks Asian. The reddit user took issue with that and wants to call him Arab.
