Ajaccio, despite the smallest operating budget in Ligue 1 at just €16m, the Corsican outfit has landed a huge mercato coup with signature of the 25-year-old Ochoa, nominated for the 2007 Ballon d'Or for World Footballer of the Year.
A statement on the club's official website read:
"The suspense is over: Ajaccio can officially announce the signing of Mexcan international and Club America goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa for the next three seasons.
"A veritable star in his homeland, Ochoa is one of the most popular players in Latin America, since he came to fame in the 2-0 Copa America victory over Brazil.
"Guillermo Ochoa made his international debut in 2005 against Hungary and was a member of the Mexico squad at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.
"Chased by Paris Saint-Germain and Olympiakos, the player has chosen Ajaccio."
