Verratti to Madrid.
Verratti to Madrid.
I just feel like he's be a natural replacement for somebody like Modric in a few years, and it'll take a gigantic fee to get PSG to let him go (and make him leave, he seems happy at Paris). But, I do see the point that a holding midfielder might not go for that much. Then again, did we expect a central midfielder like Pogba to break it now? The money just continues to shoot up.Veratti will go for a lot of money eventually, but I cant see him breaking the world record, especially by Real. Huge transfer fees are usually reserved for very high profile players with a big marketing/PR following. I cant see Real spending that much on a deep lying midfielder. Neymar seems to be the only player who fits the category of a record breaker at the moment - perhaps to Utd or City for £120m+? However, i expressed this in the summer - I do feel that this window gone by represents a sort of peak, and Pogba's fee will not be broken for a long time, if at all. We've gotten to the stage where fees are coming to a level of buying entire clubs or building stadiums, and clubs can only push fans so much in terms of price.

Specifically, i look at Real's record-breaking transfers, and each has been a star attacking player. If its anyone, I can see us breaking the record for Veratti - I think Woodward is more swayed by the manager's choice of target, and if Mou says we need Veratti, Ed'll try to make it happen; but Real dont operate like that.
It's not just Real though is it? The clear majority of most high profile transfers are for attacking players and for good reason as well, they are the ones that make most difference and are the rarest breed. The ability to destabilise a defence through pace, dribbling, passing and vision and create or score goals out of nowhere is still and will continue to be the most valuable skill in a footballer. Our transfer for Pogba was a bit of an exception in that regard even though we can argue that he can be a creative force himself. But for a more defensive minded player to break the record would truly be an anomaly.Specifically, i look at Real's record-breaking transfers, and each has been a star attacking player. My guess for the OP is Greizmann next summer for somewhere around 95m.
Awesome I'll go with-
You win a free custom title change of your choice.
He looks different, did he change his hair?Beckham to City.
Has to be griezemann surely?

2. Real Madrid
3. Osmana Dembele
Why do you think so?Bale to United
Bale to United
Well, nothing in particular, just seems to me the only player who could meet the conditions. Why do you think so?
He is still young enough and for what I read in the forum United can afford it financially. Why would we pay more for him than you did when he's four years older? If he moves to United it will be for around £60m (€70m) I think.
Beckham to City.
1. Summer 2017
2. Paris Saint-Germain
3. Neymar
It doesn't appear that we can compete at the very top financial level anymore otherwise we'd surely be in for Neymar and Mbappe.Summer 2018
