Greenwood and Foden kicked out of England squad for bringing girls into hotel room

can't blame them..as teenagers..never know next time you will be in Iceland with some of the stunnas down there..Good lesson

I don't think people really understand how stupid this is and why age isn't an excuse. He has broken quarantine rules and risked spreading the virus to other teammates. So many of you are treating this as a joke and ignoring the reality that case numbers are rising again and a second peak might be on the horizon.

It's been a while since you were a teenager it seems.

At that age all I could think about was football, gaming and women also.

What does seem silly is pairing 2 teenagers together in their own room.

Folden's 20... but that's here nor there i guess.... And I did some dumb shit as a teenager sure, but I still knew what I was doing.

Put it this way, if you're at Uni and you have an important assignment due at 9am tomorrow which you haven't started, you're probably not going out that night getting lashed and shagging away... 'cos you're old enough to make some sort of normal life decisions.

I know its funny but thats extremely irresponsible of them. They are putting others at risk for fecksake. They deserve whatever happens. Just bring greenwood home so he can prepare for the new season.

On another note I did find this quite funny:

I dont really care and in fact even happy. He gets to come back to Manchester and be fit and ready for us next week.

If they've broken protocol, they may have to quarantine for two weeks when they get back. So this is a really stupid move that both Pep and Ole will have every right to dock two weeks' pay for.

:nervous:

Silly boy Mason. No excuses, he's not 5 years old. Hopefully they both learn from this and grow up a bit.

I imagine if you were in Covid times and you knew it was massively against the rules/would jeopardise your squad place you'd probably think twice about it.

I mean it's not like they can't get beautiful woman at any other time is it?
Exactly. These lads are drowning in hot women. Surely they can take a breather when they're having their early experiences of international football. Utterly stupid.

Criticism here isn't neccessrily about agendas and bias against young players with money. And nor does the 'two young single lads' excuse wash at all. Pretending people are outraged because 2 young lads want to have sex is just being dishonest.

These guys have just had a few weeks off, have enormous wealth and were both on deserved holidays. Football is at its most precarious point ever with squads all over the world existing in bubbles and the show barely being kept on the road. It is their first ever call up. There's a couple of days between games and somehow, unbelievably they managed to feck up the simple rules they have to follow for 5 days. Its absolutely brutal decision making and their youth is a mitigating factor and can be forgiven of course. But I personally would question the professionalism of both and would expect some private repercussions at club level

It makes me very concerned about his attitude to be honest.

There's not many world class footballers around who got there by prioritising a random shag over one of the biggest career opportunities of their life.

I can't imagine Ole and the club will exactly be happy. It's embarassing for the club and damaging/worrying in terms of squad discipline, because younger players are generally heavily influenced by the older ones.

Sanchez's interview does seem to ring a bit too true with our players. Ole's weeded out a lot of the idiocy but you can only imagine how much of it there must have been for this shite to still be happening.

You don't need to be a fully grown man to realise there's a pandemic going on and clear rules in place as a result. Age isn't an excuse for being an idiot in this case.

A bunch of their age mates, 1st years at a university in the u.s got expelled from school for breaking covid rules. These 2 are lucky they won't face real world consequences. Being idiotic shouldn't be accepted because they are young.

Did you actually go to uni? Because that’s exactly what most people do

Iceland isn't in the quarantine zone, why would they have to quarantine on return to the UK?

They have a 7 day moving average of 5 new cases in the entire country, the girls are more at risk from them than the other way round

So, what will Man United do?

A, Nothing.
B, Quiet word/bollocking from OIe to smarten him up but nothing public.
C, Public statement of some sort.
D, Fine
E, Dropped.

Nah, most people do that on another night. I didn't even do an intense course and the vast majority of people always handed stuff in on time... otherwise Universities would just be filled with drop outs and the country would be run by morons.

Wait a minute...

How crazy no one seems bothered about getting covid one can only hope a vaccine is round the corner then things like this are no longer an issue. But on the flip side it is getting annoying all this social distance stuff part of me cant blame them but still shouldnt have done it.

Oh Corona!! I was wondering what all the fuss was about. Young men with loads of money, spend a night with a woman - non story.

The quarantine side of it makes sense...

Even without Corona, players are not allowed to bring random sex partners to the hotel.

Not a huge deal in my eyes but I can see why the rules are there.

Joking aside. This reflects lack of discipline and poor judgement. Which is a worry in the greater scheme of things.

Imagine if you were a footballer. First England call-up. New to the set up. In a pandemic. Being told specifically to stay in your bubble.

And you go and do this.

It is either you are stupid/lack judgement.
Or you don’t respect authority.

Neither are good qualities. Deserves a real Fergie-esque bollocking.

I hate to bring class into this but footballers have the opportunity to move up the social ladder through a ridiculously well rewarded career. They often have a different mentality at the start of their careers (often due to their background) and have to have the awareness that they need to change this to change their future. Money alone is not enough. The mind needs to change.

Do non-English teams have this problem?

Oh well...get back here and prepare for next seaon Mason. But I hope he gets the kind of bollocking that will ring in his ears for the whole season. Learn from this and don't be so fecking stupid next time. He's got enough time and money to indulge when he's got some free time. Foden had a kid at 18??? Wow.

Hey maybe they snuck their girlfriends in.

Then again maybe not. I don’t really care tbh.

 idiots. Even without Covid its obviously unprofessional to bring some girls back to your team hotel. But in the context of a Pandemic, it's incredibly stupid. Getting kicked out is very fair.

There should be long bans for players breaking these protocols .

Again just two massive idiots who need to grow up

How many five year olds you know are shagging women in hotel rooms?

And don’t say,” only in Bolton!”
