Not for me, we've extended Cavani now and I'd rather keep Pogba as long as Ole keeps using him on the left instead of the double pivot.
I would prefer to keep Pogba but I am worried that in 6-12 months we'll be back to square one with him sulking and Raiola talking shit in the press again. As brilliant as he is, we have to seriously consider whether we are better off without him long term, especially if we can get Grealish to provide 90% of the productivity with none of the headaches.
I think most people would want to keep Pogba. But he’s only for a year left on his contract. Hence he signs a new contract or he should be sold this summer.
that would be the reality of most players, unless they were near the end of their career.
No, why would we sell two of the best players we have. I would swap Kane for Martial, but Pogba is twice the player Grealish is.I’m keen to learn the direction we think our squad and first 11 should take in terms of attackers. We haven’t brought any forwards in their prime since Ole started. I think Cavani highlights how valuable a proven forward with the right motivation can be.
So if we had the option of selling Pogba and Martial and replacing them with Grealish and Kane would you take it.
Let’s leave the money out of it for a bit because it should be achievable with the addition of £50 million
Possible main front four goes from this
Pogba, Martial, Greenwood, Rashford, Cavani, Bruno.
To this:
Kane, Grealish, Rashford, Cavani, Bruno, Greenwood

If we do end up selling Martial - he'll go on to become a terrific player for any other team... Many posters on here will be saying "but he didn't perform well here, he wasn't suited here". Every one of our forwards has struggled this season in patches - Martial has played way too less to be sold on the back of a "Players Player of the Year" season

i see things working like this over the next 3 transfer windows in this order:
pogba - out to juventus
martial - out to psg
kane and grealish - in
kane - out to dortmund
haaland - in from dortmund
grealish - out to arsenal (loan)
haaland - out - (forced to retire through injury via a roy keane attack from the commentary box)
kane - in from dortmund to replace haaland
kane - out to psg
martial - in from psg
grealish - out to arsenal (permanent)
lingard - in from west ham
It is. I’ll tell you why;Kane £90 million
Grealish £80 million, £170 million
Pogba £70 million
Martial £45 million
Lingard £30 million - £145 million
I think that’s reasonable given Kane’s age (28 in July)
I’d take that all day long, even if Kane and Grealish price tag goes up to £200 million, it’s still worth it for £50 million. Add lingard sale.
It’s seriously isn’t that laughable at all.
It is. I’ll tell you why;
first of all, you will need to crack 100m for Kane. He’s English, consistent, and you’re dealing with Levy.
grealish you are probably in the ball park there. So that’s 180m before you look at wages.
Pogba has what, 6 months before he can sign a pre-contract and walk away for nothing next summer. No way you’re getting 70m. He’s a good player but nobody is cracking 50m at a push for him. His usual spots he wants are all skint. You have to factor in that we just won’t get the price for him. It’s why madrid were desperate for the ESL to go ahead, they’d be able to play Harlem Globetrotters again.
Martial is probably about right, though again who’s got the money to splash on him? PSG maybe but he needs to start scoring again
I think because Lingard is almost out of contract again we are looking at probably 20m or so. Yes he’s been excellent but doesn’t change the fact he’s almost out of contract
that’s why I laughed, it’s pure dreamland
I’m trying to be optimistic with my pricingBut from what you’ve said you’re talking an extra 10 for Kane and 20 less for Pogba, I don’t think it’s dreamland territory even by that response.
Even though I do understand these things are never easy and what I’ve mentioned most likely won’t happen but a scenario along these lines isn’t impossible.
Again, I can’t remember the last time a top 6 club sold a great player to one another but this isn’t an ordinary year.
This would only make sense if he's just struggled in this particular season though which is clearly not the case. His whole Utd career has been patchy.
Haaland (100m+40m agent fee)
Martial has only played well in 2 seasons for us, he's put in so many poor performances, the team can't continue to carry someone who just doesn't seem like he enjoys playing for Utd, he's lazy and moans too much. Sell him now to reinvest in the squad,If we do end up selling Martial - he'll go on to become a terrific player for any other team... Great point actually. One of Saul /Camavinga would be great.I think Jonathan Barnett could be the man Ole turns to this summer.
He's Luke Shaw's agent and we're on good terms with him. He is also the agent of Camavinga, Gareth Bale and Saul Niguez. 3 players Ole may take a serious look at this summer, whether on loan or long term contract.
I just can't see the club giving a long term contract to Pogba with all the trouble his scumbag narcissist agent likes to cause. Van de Beek can play the same left side role if we sl Pogba.
Pau Torres, Camavinga on long term deals, and Bale as an impact sub on loan for a season, would be a nice summer.
I know mate. Pogba and Martial's combined fees probably wouldn't even get one of Grealish or Kane. So many dreamers on this forum when it comes to discussing transfer fees for player sales.“Leave the money out of it but it should be achievable with the addition of £50

also forgot to mention you also chucked lingard in at the last minute. Not mentioned in your OP!
now cavani is done I think that a striker will be put on next years list
Kane £90 million
Grealish £80 million, £170 million
Pogba £70 million
Martial £45 million
Lingard £30 million - £145 million

The season is the last chance Riaola could take a big chunk out of agent fees and 40m is what he earned from Pogba transfers years ago, I wouldn't expect he ask any less for Haaland, his biggest assets. But only if Dortmund refuse to let Haaland go this season...I can never get over that ludicrous agent fee. If I was in that field I'd expect to be paid well with all the money being involved, but still. It's like he's pushing it just for fun to see how far it can go.
