So, the guy who called specific details in the trailer a day or so before the trailer dropped also mentioned that it would be a Q1 2025 release.
So, could be a Jamuary/February release, with the '2025' just covering them just incase there has to be late delays.

After reading that am fully onboard expecting a Q1 release date – which is just over a year away! Not two years!!
I wonder if Rockstar can catch employees out Colleen Rooney style i.e. cherry picking who they show what to so if certain info gets out they know who it falls on
January/February/March are the Q1 months. I expect little delay with this though, so would be surprised if it fell beyond them.

The cynic in me thinks they will release it on a date to make the most of the xmas rush. However I als dont think the date they release it will have any impact on sales
Good chance we've just seen the first official footage of the biggest selling game of all time. Quite possibly the biggest selling piece of entertainment ever.
I really hope they focus on the story first and foremost. It is the very thing the vast majority of GTA gamers want from GTA.
I've pre warned work that in 2025 a long lost relative will suddenly pop their clogs and I will need an extended period of time off to mourn. Their understanding means a lot at that difficult time. I'll miss Aunt Betty.

Yeah, they could release it any day of the year and it will be the fastest selling game of all time.
What's more is that if the online is hit again it will be top of the sales charts each month. I could swear the game was basically top 5 each month for about 4 years after release.

I didn't take it personally it all, because I'm not actually that excited about GTA6. I'll play it, but it's just another game. GTA 5 was fine.

Somebody predicted this ages ago because a leak showing the Rockstar advertising/marketing budget jumps up massively in the lead up to March 25.

I have hundreds if not thousands of hours just playing sumo/rpg vs. insergent/racing in GTA online and people will still tell you online has no game play because it's too much for them to grasp it all.

Given that Rockstar games have some of the most bland gameplay mechanics among the better studios (as they obviously are) I find that extremely hard to believe. What next ? FIFA is just too realistic!

I think we probably need to wait for the second trailer before really understanding where we're at in terms of scope with this game.
When you actually analysis the trailer, it appears like a lot of the footage comes from the opening robbery by Lucia and other guy. On top of that the other included footage seems to be like local News cinematics which won't be actual in game footage. So the actual question is how much of the trailer is actually genuine. I'm sure they're not going to take the piss mind and I'm hopeful that we'll actually see the gameplay be similar to that in the trailer.
It's going to be an absolutely gorgeous game to just drive around in. Given that there's rain in the trailer i'm really hoping we'll get a proper weather system too.

Digital foundry said 80% of the trailer is in game footage and are confident the game will look pretty much like the trailer (if not better seen as it's still 18-24 months out).
RDR2 had some stunning weather effects on ps4 so I'm expecting GTAVI to go absolute ham with stuff like storms given the vastly superior ps5 hardware!
