Same feeling. People may not remember it, but Moyes's stock was on the up because of his work at Everton before he blew it completely at United.
I distinctly remember two of my Everton supporting mates wanting Moyes out before United came calling

No. I’m saying take my prediction and place a tenner on sacked, replacement sacked then club legend in charge for the last run of games. Make yourself more money instead of a bad bet.
You’re welcome!
Nothing is impossibleYou think Chelsea will have 4 managers this season?
I actually do. I think a bad start after the WC sees Potter gone in January. His replacement won’t fix this broken squad so it’ll be a panic sacking to give yourselves one last chance of top 4 after that. I wouldn’t even blame the owner despite the optics, too many of your attackers simply want to leave, Auba isn’t good enough and Reece is injury prone. We should have sacked Ragnick last season long before the seasons end but we seemed to accept finishing outside the top 4 for some reason. It’s very similar. You think Chelsea will have 4 managers this season?
He sacked Tuchel a couple of weeks after letting him spend 250m. So don't think you can rule anything outUnless bohley is an absolute imbecile of the higher order he won't get the sack, it just won't make sense .
Fair point. Be interesting to see if your new owners a lot more patient then the previous one. There’s no reason why potter shouldn’t work out if given the time and backing.

If there was a market for who would be Chelsea manager for their last league game I would put a tidy sum on John Terry
Edit could be as simple as sack Potter, temp manager for a few weeks until replacement is found. That’s still 4
As nonsensical as that move was i could somehow retroactively justify it but to sack the management you've appoint yourself without even giving him time is utter idiocy. He sacked Tuchel a couple of weeks after letting him spend 250m. So don't think you can rule anything out
I’d like to know what scenario I’ve predicted for Chelsea to be so wrong? I literally argued with Chelsea fans about Tuchel on here and got the same responses. I argued against your new owner and his transfer splurges and hap hazard recruitment policy against Chelsea fans yet here we are. I argued against Potter on here when he was appointed yet here we are. I was here arguing against that your league results would even out and you weren’t playing like a top 4 team yet here we are.Ramblings of a mad man this, but I admire your commitment to these doomsday scenarios you’re constantly predicting.
If we're going to go down this route you also treated me like a mad man for saying James was better than Wan Bissaka.I’d like to know what scenario I’ve predicted for Chelsea to be so wrong? let’s just say your 2022 hasn’t been great. If anything i undershot my predictions.
At the time Id say that was an argument but AWB now is as if James lost his ball playing ability. Just lost everything that made him a PL player. If we're going to go down this route you also treated me like a mad man for saying James was better than Wan Bissaka.
I actually do think when Kante, Fofana, and James return, aswell as Chilly, we will go up a level or 2. Plus a big January is likely incoming [with a plan i hope]. I'd love us to bring the Nkunku deal forward to JanPotter won't be sacked imo. Can't after this crazy schedule and all the injuries. He's done well in the CL even if poor in the league.
I reckon we'll move to a back 4 from post world cup plus Kepa back. Chilly, Trev, Fofana and James. Silva and Azpi can't play in a 4 these days. Got to move past the 5.
With an extra goal scorer in the squad, probably Nkunku we'll be back.
Difference is, I'm not trying to pass myself off as some hindsight genius, I get some things wrong and some right (and lets be honest that one is the definition of a default win).At the time Id say that was an argument but AWB now is as if James lost his ball playing ability. Just lost everything that made him a PL player.
If we’re going down that route even further there’s a few combined starting 11s that could be revisited or is it still Pulisic > Rashford!
Taking victory laps after a month
Why , exactly, do we deserve it?What the actual feck ?
Half a billion spent, yet "it will take multiple windows and patience to get things where they should be."
feck off you bunch of Chav cnuts.
Ten Hag has polished a steaming pile of shite within a few months whilst spending (a lot) , but still much less than your lot.
I hope Chelsea crash and burn, they fecking deserve it.
The problem is not Potter. And was not Tuchel. The problem is a disastrous transfer market.
Sterling: past his prime.
Cucurella: not better than Chilwell.
Koulibaly: 31 years old.
Aubameyang: 33 years old.
All for crazy money.
Chelsea lacks creativity in the final third. And quality in midfield. Plus a sub for Reece James.
Boehly waste 200m and the team is not better than last year. Crazy.
Are we? Sancho, Antony and Martial have been out for differing periods leading to an 18 year old having to start games. Varane is also out, he’s just a multiple Champions League and World Cup winning centre back. I suppose three or four key players is nothing really. You are at basically full health
Our new ownership was in a position where they felt pressure to give Tuchel a chance to keep the job and asked him point blank of he wanted total control over everything. Tuchel said yes, then proceeded to completely screw us over. Barely engaging in the transfer market, doing little more than replying with thumbs up or thumbs down text responses.
When asked if the midfield should be addressed, he was adamant it was fine. First huge mistake.
He wanted Aubamayang as the answer at striker, because Tuchel is famous for not considering anything past the next season. Second huge mistake.
Tuchel then threw a huge fit when we were going to let Azpi move on and get a competitor for Reece at RB.
...
Koulibaliy suffers from the same problem Cucurella, Silva, and the rest of our defense se does: Horgihno can not play the role of shielding mid in the PL. Tuchel gambled everything on Kante returning.
Tuchel was given near complete control of all that windows money, and he muffed it.
Fair play still being able to use the laughing emoji after watching that depressing boring football.
absolutely cringing reading that guys shit, respect the effort to paint the “woe is us but world domination is definitely right around the corner” thoughAre we? Weird that Chelsea, of all clubs, have decided that their future lies with a manager who not long ago was managing in Sweden, hasn’t won anything at top flight, or even come close.
This is the one and only club I’d say would not give a manager a platform to learn on the job and make mistakes. He should have held out for a Tottenham or Newcastle, both of which will be available in the next 18 months.
They’ll qualify for Europa then next season then it will become apparent Howe isn’t up for a top 4 fight and they’ll let him when expectation changesNewcastle going to sack Howe for at worst qualifying for europa?!

I think Potter has shit the bed on his career unfortunately. He needed a move to a team that hasn’t qualified for CL for the last few years but wants it. Like a type of situation Spurs or Arsenal could find themselves in, then the expectation is try to get top 4 and it’s a bonus if you do, like what Pochettino did at Spurs. He has no experience at this level and he’s not going to get the opportunity to learn because failure won’t be tolerated.Could happen but think Saudis have shown they've actually got the brains to run a premier league club based on first 12 months and Howe has certainly exceeded expectations based on what he inherited 12 months ago.
They certainly won't be going for Potter though.
He'll have to rebuild at Everton if they're a premier league club still. Actually Leicester post Rodgers is probably the best realistic current fit for him in premier league. West Ham would probably be logical aswell at some point in next five years.
Not even remotely close to being true. You are at basically full health
Even if Potter is sacked today, your post is still wrong (not sure what you post was, assuming it's to downplay his ability/achievement).
It’s worse then that, it’s no wins in 5 league games and that takes us back to keeper heroics after getting outplayed by Villa then relying on absolutely dodgy refs decisions v Palace and West Ham to sneak wins.Stop quoting me if you didn’t read the post then. Enough time wasters on the internet without blindly quoting.
You are only as good as your final game. Potter has lost 3 in a row.

No, you are wrong: Jacobs, Law, and everyone seriously associated with Chelsea said he ABSOLUTELY accepted when they approached and asked him if he wanted to direct transfers.First of all: Tuchel didn't want to handle transfers himself to begin with. The first nonsense Todd did was not installing a competent person to get this transfer business sorted with TT but rather doing it himself - somebody with no idea about the football business - and that's how those transfers look in retrospect. Azpi got extended once Todd failed with Kounde and Raphinha without a viable alternative and way before Fofana got signed. The mess to sort out almost the complete defense is in no way on Tuchel so to expect him to do wonders before solving thos issues is plain dumb. Just as dumb as spending a fortune to immediately sack the very manager "that Todd wanted to back with those signings" afterwards. As in a couple of days later. When the midfield was of no concern why was FdJ chased half the window?
Auba was signed because Todd couldn't realize a Leao transfer.
And on and on it goes.
I read somewhere here that you have some insight into that Clearlake business? Maybe you should step back a bit and look from a different angle. So far it looks and smells like a mess. And despite being a good talent as a manage I fail to see why a gigantic rebuild with lots of risks involved should be handed to somebody like Potter.
Ok, tell me how your injury issues compare to ours. Varane is the only one I see as “injured” for any length of time. Not even remotely close to being true.
See this reads like a hope chest wish list of things opponent clubs not backed by massive entities WISH would happen… not necessarily a likely insight into what actually will happen.I think Potter has shit the bed on his career unfortunately. In regards to Newcastle, they’ll go the route City went when they sacked Hughes, Sven, Pellegrini etc. As soon as a better manager comes available they’ll bring them in and pull the plug on Howe, then the next bloke, then the next bloke.
No, you are wrong: Jacobs, Law, and everyone seriously associated with Chelsea said he ABSOLUTELY accepted when they approached and asked him if he wanted to direct transfers.
What he absolutely DIDNT want was to do any of the work associated with it. He would delegate even as answering the owners to random assistants.
This is all well documented.
Also, they still want Leao AND Nkunku. You are assuming Auba meant no Leao. They couldn’t get a deal across for Leao. The two situations are unrelated. This was also pretty well covered.
