This was one of the moments Souness shone the brightest as a pundit.
The bar really is in the basement for certain members of society.

He wont be missed.
I remember him using a rape reference referring to Vidic/Torres a few years ago on RTE and the presenter shutting him down away and he had sit there in silence the rest of the show without talking. Not sure he was ever on RTE afterwards.
Think when he called Casemiro a “steady eddy” . He showed clearly by that stupid comment he doesn’t watch much football bar Liverpool. Heard from older fans he was a good player. But way before my day so never saw him. As a pundit didn’t offer a lot.
Sorry to hear he is retiring. Was a superb player and I enjoyed hearing his views on football. No idea why he appears to be disliked in here.
You realise Jermaine Jenas, Michael Owen, Richard Keys and Jamie Redknapp exist right? You can throw a lot at Souness but having little knowledge about the game is not one.Possibly the worst pundit of all time and that takes some doing. For a man who played at the top level for so long it’s astonishing how little he knows about the game.

It's all Pogba's fault.
This is my favourite Souness moment.
That's a definite yellow card! The standards back then on what is a dangerous tackle
You can justify that if you're Talksport or a YouTube fan channel but you'd expect better from Sky Sports as they charge their audience a pricey subscription fee. For that kind of money you'd expect their pundits to do their research before going on-air, and maybe even offer the occasional tactical analysis, instead of continuing to employ dinosaurs like Souness so that they can go on the wind up for the bants.
His view on Casameiro ended his career.

Souness was a lot of things, but I’ll give him one thing: he had better taste in suits than any of them. You can see he’s a vain man, but nothing wrong with that if you look good at 69.
Good riddance!!

Good riddance to the cnut
Agree with all these.
A tedious, mean spirited dullard with the on screen charisma of a haemorrhoid and the technical insight of a Brexit voter judging a rap battle.
A superfluous, bitter, miserly anachronism on legs with as much to offer to the modern game as a cave person would offer to the enlightenment.
Ta-ra, dipper.
This is making me think he's been playing some kind of 'performance artist' all this time, that RTE comment was unreal and summing up Bournemouth and Swansea as some Dutch game, man.
I literally would turn it over before and during the match if he was thereSouness was good at one point. Plus, as shite as he is now, you still listen to him more than the other bland pundits

I thought the same. How is this commendable? "Fair play, this guy has shown he's not a bigot"
