Golf 2023

Yup, very excited. Can’t wait to see the course in person.
If you want to get some seats by a rope line, get there at least 30 minutes before the gates open with some sort of seats / cushions / etc. Then be prepared to walk as fast as you can to where you want to post up. The great thing at the Masters is that no one will move your stuff or sit in your spots, it’s all very civilized. And there’s always Pinkerton guards walking around if some drunk doesn’t know the rules. The SW gate off of Berckmans is the closest to Amen Corner; scout out what looks good on Tuesday if you want to not roam around on Thursday.

Speed walk like it's the Olympics. It’s like floodgates opening up when they start letting people in. It’s every person for themselves. Think Black Friday. It was a personal highlight of mine in 1997 watching purported adults make absolute jackasses of themselves trying to fake run with four collapsable chairs all the way to Amen Corner.

As I was bored I ended up watching liv tournament today. Very strange experience and kind of sad as well. Koepka won but felt like such a waste of his skill

Heading to the Masters on Tuesday and Thursday. Hoping to avoid most of the bad weather. Thunderstorms scheduled Thursday PM, hopefully it’s as late as possible in the day.
Been in the states the last week. Played Sawgrass, Harbour Town and just played Kiawah today. Probably the best course I’ve ever played. Shot 83 with an 11 (shiver) at the 16th.
What a group of courses

I was there last year. It’s an incredible place. The no phones rule is an absolute joy. The leaderboards being changed manually, the lack of information, a roar heard from a green in the distance and trying to figure out who might have just birdied or eagled. The experience is the same now as it must have been in the days of Arnie and Jack.

Sounds absolute quality!

Some decent featured groups Thursday & Friday.

No LIV golfers among them.

Hope none of those feckers win this week. Pulling for Xander.

Insane. Scheffler took his dad & his coach to ANGC in the lead up to the tourney & it was the first time Scheffler’s dad & Schleffer ever played an entire round together.

I'm sick of these god squad yanks filling up the top of the leaderboards, get some debauchery back in the game of golf.

4 putts on the first hole for a double bogey, then goes -9 through the next 17 holes to finish the day on -7.

Rahm is great
