Glazers / Woodward out! (One down)

Match going fans need to make their voices heard. Stop attending games.
Hit these @#$% where it hurts.
I'm so mad right now at the state of this bleedin club. I'm honestly fuming and fed up.

Woodward is worse than a parasite. He's an idiot.

He has pandered to every manager that he's hired in terms of signings and only said no when things have gone horribly bad. Don't think he'll ever grow into the job.

Honestly, I don't want him to appoint a DOF now as his choice would be equally bad for the club.

Your analogy makes no flipping sense of whatsoever. Thankfully, the fans showed their opinion yesterday. This will continue and rightfully so.

Fans my left tit, without being totally in control we were building momentum nicely and there was only going to be one winner but then, around the 33rd minute the spoilt little Princesses piped up, probably on cue with their "Love United, hate Glazer" bullshit, and what happened, shock friggin horror Burnley scored within minutes and controlled the game from there on in.

At least the majority tried to get behind the team, but the damage had already been done.

Before the game, or after the game, or sod off. It ain't your club.

Many people have been saying this for a while now. Unfortunately it will not happen. United match-going fans are far too nice, and even if they stop attending there will always be others who take their place simply because of how big a fanbase this club has.

Pledge:
Until the Glazers leave our beloved club, I will not buy any more Man Utd merchandise, match day tickets, digital offerings or anything else that provides the Glazers with a direct income stream. I will only watch our games on TV where the Premier League's collective agreement applies.

That's brutal, not sure how the Glazer family can possibly survive now. the end is nigh ;)

This is a very good point, and why I think the OleIN vs OleOUT is a red herring. Despite spending over £1.5billion on transfer fees and wages for new players post SAF, no manager has managed to challenge for the league title. OGS might not be the right candidate but changing him right now achieves nothing. Any new manager will face exactly the same issues and fail for exactly the same reasons. And it frustrates me that so many can't see this, and so a unified protest cant be voiced.

I have such an admiration for how Liverpool fans unified to save their club from the poisonous ownership of Hicks/Gillette, and how they were also patient and supportive behind Klopp.

Manchester United used to claim that we had the best fans in the world. I'm not sure that is true at all. Our fan base is a mixed bag of loyalists, entitled glory seekers and noisy negative minded keyboard warriors. IF all 500million fans around the world could unify behind one plan to get rid of our owners, we'd be successful. But it would require someone like SAF or ClassOf92 or another loved consortium to organise such.

Personally I would love it if SAF spoke out and created the burning platform. Others could follow up with the leg work and get things done. It's going to take something of that inspiration and magnitude to make things change.

Fergie covered for the Glazers when he had immense power, so he's not going to start stirring things off now at this point when he wants an easy life.

While I agree with Nev that Woodward needs to be sacked, what's the difference between calling for the sacking of a CEO and calling for a sacking of a football manager?

Especially when the manager has no track record of being a top manager at the highest level.

The problem is these tickets have already been sold, so the money is already in their pockets. People will end up selling these tickets on high resale prices to tourists or people wanting the chance to see a United game, even if there is tickets been sold on match day unfortunately there will be many lining up to get one.

Honestly, I don't want him to appoint a DOF now as his choice would be equally bad for the club.

Sadly even if he does appoint a DOF they'll just be a puppet, he will never give up that power.

Ask any Glazer or Ed what they would prefer. A few thousand supporters pledging not to hand over any cash until real change occurs or a two nil loss to Burnley. I have a suspicion a few poor results doesn't get them as angry as a slow quarter.
If we want change it must start with the majority of supporters and match going fans must be the public face. Nothing we can do about the owners, it's their club. But Woodward can certainly be cleared out, tomorrow if the noise was loud enough. That would be a great fecking start for a rebuild.

Serious investment needed, playing side is awful, you can now see why, Ole was given the job, he's going to be the scapegoat, for the owners inept, running of the club.
There's at least 6 players to be sold, and there supposedly top players. I'd sell. DDG, Pogba, Martial, Rojo, Lingard, Jones, Matic, . The club is in a right fecking mess, from top to bottom. Disaster. If the owners want top sponsors they better watch out there all going to pull out. It's bad bad bad.

Guys thise protests are effective, it's not like we can chant Love United Hate Glazer and they will magically disappear! It has to be visible and sustained in that way it will cause tensions with sponsors and affect their negotiations with potential sponsors.

It might not be enough to force them out but it will force them to change their ways and engage fans more. If fan opinion didn't matter Woodward wouldn't bother with the spin and briefs to exonerate himself or divert attention from this shitshow.

Reading what Rio Ferdinand said in the Independent it’s true. The squad is crap considering the wage bill and the money spent on transfers. I’m not blaming Ole, it’s the Club that have allowed that to happen. How Woodward still has a job I’ve no idea.

A brand new manager can’t polish a turd as our 2nd string is rubbish, and 3 of our 1st string are injured.

I was somewhat optimistic for the long term but the club needs to be stripped down, & wages brought down until results improve. I trust the younger players more. Ffs.

I don’t think people will be lining up to take their place, in terms of attendance, marketability etc the bubble has burst. It’s all in decline, the wage bill and transfer budgets will all decline as well.

What you are saying is correct though, fans wont stop going, most can’t it’s too big a part of their life. Look at Arsenal fans, they pay highest season ticket prices in world, loads of them don’t enjoy it but every year they renew. That’s the future of being a Utd fan, paying to see same dross over and over again.

Fans should have bought shares to stop Glazers, should have opposed takeover but too late that now. If people want them to take action let alone get rid of them, stadium needs to be empty. Not just once or for 20 minutes but every week, no-one sign up to renew their season ticket etc but it will never happen. Owners can shit on fans and they keep paying, that’s one of attractions of owning club.

Yes, we would have won 5-0 without the chants.

Because we've been doing so well for the last 7 years until thosr bloody anti Glazer chants ruined it!

Realistically other than throwing 300 million at 4 new signings what else can they do? And who’s fault is it when they fail too?

Bring someone with a plan in before throwing money at the problem would be a start. And no the manager shouldn't be the chief architect of our football strategy because his job is too dependent on results.

The time to act is now before we make more knee jerk decisions. Bring the DOF, allow him to build his team from scouts to head of recruitment whilst assessing the first team's needs and deciding on the coach. All Woodward has to do is sign off the cheque and approve the overall budget.

Just throwing £300m with Woodward and Judge driving our transfer strategy is just throwing good money after bad. Essentially pumping water into a leaking tank, wasteful and useless.

That’s fair, I wonder how hard it is to bring in a top class DOF?

You’re both right imho. The players are fragile, many of them are young lads with little experience. They need full support whilst they’re on the pitch.

On the flip side there needs to be protests. Inside the venue I’d suggest before, halftime and full time but not during the game.

Ideally what I’d love to see is picket lines outside of OT, so a significant portion of fans aren’t going in

Lmfao, so the fans are to be blamed for the shit show yesterday? I am fed up with your comments. Now, you can sod off and do one, as United is not your club and all you can do is to tell yourself what to do. We have terrific supporters and shite owners and management. The noise of discontent will only grow and rightfully so.

 you've got to be a wum, that or you're really in la la land. Blaming chants for the lose.

It's just negligent owners and a shit CEO. From all accounts Woodward has shelved the much publicized hunt for a DOF presumably because he doesn't want one.

I think its ego on his part, he has made such a mess of things that someone coming in and rectifying it will expose his ineptitude further.

Firstly stop effing trying to change the goalposts. They invested the money they made through the club, just like you claim is all our owners are doing and not out of their own pockets as you're first post I quoted claimed

https://www.football365.com/news/liverpool-chief-50m-investment-shows-owners-commitment

Read the above article which shows they have invested in the club. Investment is not always about the playing staff, they have put in all the groundwork to become a force again.

In comparison, our owners take £80m a year in dividends and £92m a year in director fees. Liverpool owners don't take anything from the club.

You must be the only fan who thinks the Glazers invest money in this club.

Nothing will change with these owners in charge and Woodward.
Yes they have invested in the club via transfers and other ways but until they have vision of where they want to go they are happy to sit back and let the money come in with the sponsors.
For them it is business as usual it's very frustrating to see how well other clubs are run and they way we are run. They will take every last penny out before they go and then it'll be a struggle to catch up with the rest of the clubs.

What was Ian Dennis on Radio5 live on about when talking about the fans & the glazers chants?

Ian Dennis, senior football reporter for BBC Radio 5 Live, who was commentating at Old Trafford, said: "Regardless of your opinion of Ed Woodward, you cannot ask for someone to die.

"If you want to be anti the board then sing 'sack the board', but individuals singing that about a human being is an absolute outrage. The chanting is an absolute disgrace."

Is he referring to the build a bonfire chants? because other than that i only heard the 'Stand up of you hate Glazers' & "we want woodward out"

because them chants are pretty mild compared to what they deserve.

no. One of the main chants is 'Ed Woodward is gonna die'

Some loon might actually end up attacking him or something. Given how much misery has caused if some idiot came face to face with that smug mug they might not be able to resist.

Ed Woodward’s gonna die.
Ah right, was sitting over east stand and never even heard that one
ed Woodward’s gonna die. How we do it I don’t know. Cut him up from head to toe. All we know is Woodward’s gonna die. Thats the chant.

The biggest thing Woodward has gotten wrong is paying 80 million for Maguire a year after telling Mourinho he wasn't worth the money .

Why he changed his mind I have no idea

A banner that you’d probably not get into the stadium?
Inside the ground is so controlled.
Instead of going home early a mass group of fans staying and chanting anti Glazer sentiment would be far more effective. But it’s all been done before with Green and Gold. It won’t work, they don’t care.
You would if you had a different message covering it with blutack. But yes, what you're suggesting has been proven ineffective so let's try something different, no? The Glazers will certainly notice people storming the pitch during a game. So will their precious investors.

Boycotting games will never happen. Too many casuals willing to buy tickets. Keep it simple, a loud chant of 'Glazers out, Woodward out' by a good portion of the crowd should send the message.

The Glazers, Woodward, Ole are all incompetent. The club is run by idiots presiding over failure who haven’t even got the sense to appoint a DOF or attempt to run Utd like a football club and just repeat same mistake over and over.

Start of this season Ole and Ed were pleased with themselves and their plan, they were dumb enough to think they’d bought well. This shit show will be a surprise to them, they’re all clueless.

The owners are here to stay and leech money, they are thick and greedy, failed at Tampa and failed here. Their not clever businessmen, they were just born into wealth.

Ed loves his job, he loves the glamour so make him not like his job. Every home game it needs to be Woodward out, not for few minutes, the whole game. Don’t chant Woodward or that nonsense but just make it clear he has to go, hurt his ego and make him hate his job.

Getting arrested and fined and a lifetime ban for the ground, won’t be high on many fans agendas.

Being pro-Glazer or pro-Woodward doesn't make you a footballing hipster among us (or whatever it is you're trying to convey). Fans are going to get frustrated when things aren't going their way.

As much as i'd love some overwhelming chanting throughout OT will get the message across, i dont think it will. Its only the board thats hearing it, not the Glazers. The Glazers are sitting in Florida with their feet up reading the bottom line. The only person thats really feeling it and hearing the abuse will be Ed, and he's hardly gonna sack himself.

I think the only time Glazers will perk up is when sponsors like Adidas etc clear off and the revenue starts to slow

You seriously believe the fans had some play in United’s loss yesterday?

Does anybody know what actually happens with our transfers? Is it literally just Woodward and Ole making the decisions? Who else has input into the discussions when it comes to recruitment?

please no crap “funny” answers, we’ve heard them all

Ed Woodward’s gonna die.

ed Woodward’s gonna die. How we do it I don’t know. Cut him up from head to toe. All we know is Woodward’s gonna die. Thats the chant.

At this point I really wouldn’t care if a angry fan went and punched him in the face. Maybe he needs a literal wake up call.
