Yeah, think that's in the rules.only one addition for the final?
Thanks Theon & @Gio , certainly a close game and given me a big dilemma over what to do...
Upgrade the CB pairing or replace Schweiny...
I think Skizzo gets to go first and we get 1 pick each, I'm very tempted to move Maldini to CB. Maybe Makelele to man-mark Diego? You are up against Diego, van Basten, Eusebio/Gullit... They'll play like Inter on steroids. Rio is fine but you need to think long and hard about Vidic. Neither Busi nor Schweini will stop Diego once you lose the ball.
I can think of 2-3 you should definitely go for. Problem is SkizzoPat will likely block you. Who has the bigger budget? That could make all the difference.
Yeah, think that's in the rules.
I actually wanted to but had internet difficultiesDamn thought you were gonna switch your vote
Fair play Cal - Good game
I actually wanted to but had internet difficulties
Not that it matters with the voting. I think Cal? had the slightly better team but you guys deserved the chance of qualifying.
Yeah, just not sure if Busquets is enough of an upgrade (if at all).if Vida survived a high line against Ronaldo he can survive anything.....pick Busquets and go with possession all the way. Antohan says neither Busi or Schweini will stop Maradona, but i ask who will? Your whole team is built for possession game, even if you get the best defensive specialist for DM you will have other problems as your two other midfielders are to lightweight, your wingers dont play defence and your right back goes from hero to zero.
Ah feck
That would have been a draw then - he voted for himself which doesn't count so you're vote would have made it a draw
Votes: Every team are allowed to vote one time in the opponents matches, meaning if you have two assistants you can't vote three times. Managers votes counts for one just like the rest.
Hmm... Skizzo will probably read this thread and bid for Rijkaard just because everyone has been suggesting I should.
Oh! I just realised All-Time Draft winners Figueroa-Ferdinand could combine again to win the All-Time Auction Draft.
I thought we're allowed to vote but you vote twice, ie you or Gio can vote but you can't both vote?
If Skizzo doesn't pick him, yes. I'm leaning towards replacing Schweiny with someone, but still thinking who it should be.Can you draft Matthaus into your team? Would be perfect imo.
Maybe I'm being slow here since I just woke up...But how? They're on opposite teams.
It means managers can vote in other games in the draft. So for example if gio or Theon wanted to vote in a match between Sjor and Edgar. .they could, but only one of them can. Manager votes in your own games don't count, it's just usually done so that the score is visible without having to click to show it all the time. Although manager voting in their own games has caused some fun around here before if I remember correctly
I see, I was under the impression we can each vote once, so it wouldn't matter anyway...
Maybe I'm being slow here since I just woke up...But how? They're on opposite teams
If Skizzopat overlook him... Unlikely. Can you draft Matthaus into your team? Would be perfect imo.
I love it when people do that. Nothing beats taking advantage of moronic scanvoters.Usually both managers will vote for themselves, so it usually does cancel out like that. Sometimes it becomes a mind feck because if you and theon are playing, and it's tied, he could vote for you. The score will show you're up by 1, but really it's tied because manager votes in your own game don't count. Someone may come in and think "wow, what a close game. ..This deserved to be tied and go to penalties" and vote for theon. Now even though the score shows tied, he's actually up by one.
If Skizzopat overlook him... Unlikely.
I'm not sure if any of those (inc. Matthaus) really is that much of an upgrade on Schweinsteiger, different eras and all that, but I really think Bastian is about as good as it gets for the no.6 role and Matthaus or Redondo will leave me with the same questions regarding if they'd fit tiki-taka.Likes of Redondo and Neeskens wouldn't be bad either.
It should go without saying that Barca's ability to dominate the ball against their real life opposition does not translate to being able to dominate the ball against a fantasy draft side stacked with players far, far superior to their counterparts in the modern game.
The efficiency of Barca circa 2011 is used as some sort of undefined and unspecific argument for the efficiency of the model (or the system itself) in a way you rarely see with other historical sides.
