Don't bite, don't bite, don't bite.
Goddamnit you were doing fine for a good 20 minutesBayern played 0:0 and 1:1 against Leipzig last time they faced, so Leipzig has to be as good as them. However, Bayern won 7:2 against Tottenham last season. Tottenham beat United 6:1 recently, so Bayern has to be 21 times as good as United and since Leipzig is their equal, Leipzig also has to be 21 times as good as United.
There is a terrible joke in there but we've probably moved past the Fawlty Towers type of humor these days.Careful the Bundesliga defence brigade will be out in for- oh wait, I'm too late.
There also seems to be a weird fascination with German fans backing up and defending even their fiercest rivals. I wonder whether it's a cyber form of Stockholm Syndrome.
Even Eredivisie is better! I'd like to see Bayern play RKC away on a windy Friday evening.
That would be a bit like playing against a Sunday pub team based on these attendance figures: https://www.transfermarkt.us/rkc-waalwijk/besucherzahlenentwicklung/verein/235Even Eredivisie is better! I'd like to see Bayern play RKC away on a windy Friday evening.
What makes the French league stronger ? Marseille are 1 defeat away from having the record of 13 defeats in a row in the CL.When are we going to accept this truth? Bayern are the best team in world football, let's be clear about that. Dortmund and Leipzig are ok. The rest of the league is shit and make Dortmund and Leipzig look good. The French league is stronger than the German league, at what point does this become universally accepted?
There are lots of good players from the German league, but not many top class ones. Werner, Havertz, Brandt, Draxler, Upamecano, Konaté, Suele, Hummels etc - all the ones that got hyped, some of them are top 4 quality in the UK, but not really title winning quality. Exceptions outside of Bayern would be Haaland, Pulisic and maybe Sancho on a good day. Same goes for their managers outside of Klopp and Flick.
I guess Nagelsmann just overestimated the abilities of his team and underestimated the offensive power of Manchester yesterday...
But that is just bs.Not really, if we lose to Leipzig in the away fixture, or if we get spanked by Bayern or Dortmund in the knockout stages, doesn’t change the fact that the rest of the league is of poor quality.
Except for Bayern all German teams have been set-up in a very naive way in Europe these last couple of seasons. Loads of terrible results in the Europa League.
If Bayern, Dortmund and Leipzig played in this years PL, it would probably be something like that:Where do we think Dortmund and Leipzig would finish in the Premier League?
I think top 6/8.
They missed two big counter chances early on and then had like one shot on the goal for the rest of the match.Even bayern set up in a naive way, I remember Memphis and his team mates missing so many counter chances despite the fact that Bayern were playing a suicidal high line.
May well be true yes. Not unlikely that Flick will be found out tactically as soon as their attacking form drops a bit.Even bayern set up in a naive way, I remember Memphis and his team mates missing so many counter chances despite the fact that Bayern were playing a suicidal high line.
When they fail is because they haven't had any competition at all so season long.. Can't winI agree, it's a terrible league. And last CL Bayern had big advantage in finishing their league so early.
Who actually came up with this disrespectful "farmers league" nonsense? Really have to be some kids, who only know football from FIFA and never actually went to a stadium.Farmers league mk 2.

Like I've said in another thread: Those guys propably don't even realize that according to their logic Real, Bayern and Barca could rightfully consider the entire PL as a "farmers league".
It already is mate.Farmer’s league is stretching it but it is utterly predictable. Imagine United based in England’s richest city with no Glazers, no Abramovich or Abu Dhabi and even no Liverpool, and you’ve got the Bundesliga.
The top 6 English clubs are better than everyone in the Bundesliga bar Bayern. I'd expect all to beat Dortmund/Leipzig/Leverkusen/Wolfsburg and would find it a shock if they ended up losing. The clubs like Leicester, Wolves, Everton, Southampton I would rate below Dortmund and Leipzig but above the rest of the German clubs. Then the rest is much of muchness.
It already is mate.
Rich with titles.
That's soooo last seasonI recall Bundesliga teams having 6 wins 0 draws and 0 losses vs PL teams last season with an overall goal difference of 21-3.

Didn't bother to take into account Europa League football. Don't think either English nor German teams have ever really taken that competition serious anyways. That’s not right is it? Arsenal beat Frankfurt 3-0 at their place and Frankfurt beat them 2-1 at their place. The other 4 games were Spurs‘s Poch era falling apart. If you look back at recent history by-and-large the English CL sides soundly defeat the German 3rd & 4th placed sides almost always. I still remember Moyes’s United turning over BL 5-1 in their home stadium. Probably the highlight of Moyes’s infamous tenure as United manager.
That said, this is a recent high point for the German League in Europe. They’ve started this season well but the English sides have started even better. Spain, Italy and France less so in that order.
If I were to bet it would be on England topping the coefficients again this season but Bayern are the favourites for the CL. I think it’s possible Germany can top the coefficients for the first time since 1990 too.
edit: Germany have topped the individual year ranking since 1990, just not the five year rankings. Don’t think they can top the 5 year rankings this season.
Goddamnit you were doing fine for a good 20 minutes
With PL type TV money and a sugar daddy?Where do we think Dortmund and Leipzig would finish in the Premier League?
I think top 6/8.
Maybe my view is skewed because of where I lived there, but there were always people in the betting shops watching live football and in the bars near me, watching Bayern mostly. I'm sure if they had a big club the interest would climb. If it's anything like the matchday culture in Stuttgart, where we spoke to people that just decided to go spur of the moment on the day because it's actually fun drinking beer and getting rowdy in the standing sections, then I'm sure it'd attract plenty of Berliners who aren't from Berlin too, which is a lot of Berlin.A bit but Berliners don't really care that much about footy.
I’m going to need you to add bullet points to each of the lines above. My OCD did a backflip just reading that postThe knee jerking in this place!
we could get relegated!
we are managed by a PE teacher who doesn’t have a clue
Tactical masterclass from said PE teacher.
we are going to win the league
Burst Rashfords bubble after a bad game
Rashford is one the best young players in the world after a good game.
German football is terrible but still has some of the best young coaches and most covered prospects in the game all while operating on a fraction of the spend of a club like united.
German teams semi finalists and winners of the last CL
Bayern are the best team ever and their transfer business is amazing. They are a really run club
german football is turd apart from Bayern.
RBL are shrewd operators with a great young manager and they could easily destroy us at old Trafford
worst and most overrated team we’ve played in ages
Sancho all of a sudden isn’t worth near the money quoted after being the only signing that would save us the month before. His numbers are now distorted because of the terrible standard of the league he plays in.... until his next great run of form.
You can’t have it every which way!
