I think if your team drops below 8 players (whatever the reason), you automatically forfeit the match.Yeah, sounds like a lot of entertainment for the next 45 minutes
Is it possible to cancle a game due to to many red cards?
If you forfeit a game, scored goals still count. The game would have ended 8:0. But if it had been like 8:7 and then Darmstadt would have had to forfeit, I think it would have been 8:0.I think if your team drops below 8 players (whatever the reason), you automatically forfeit the match.
If it's an automatic 4-0 or something, Darmstadt probably actually should have gone for that instead.
The not tragicomic fact is that a game has two halves and it doesn't matter when the goals are scoredThe tragicomic fact is that Darmstadt were the better team for the whole first half..
Yeah, the cards had a huge impact. Would have preferred to see the game out with the same number of players on each side. The tragicomic fact is that Darmstadt were the better team for the whole first half..
But if they would have quickly gotten two more red cards after their second, they would have just lost 4-0 or whatever. And missed those players with suspensions, but they could have quickly swapped on two youth players to deal with that.If you forfeit a game, scored goals still count. The game would have ended 8:0. What happened? The tweet seems to be deleted.
Are you arguing that these weren’t fouls or that they were fouls but not red card offenses?I didn’t think those Darmstadt ones were red cards at all. Especially the second one.
I apologise on behalf of our country.

If they're fouls they're red cards. It's rare to see the rule put to work so stringently.Yes fouls but not red card offences.
Yes fouls but not red card offences.
The first one is clear as day:
Clear goal scoring chance for himself and the chance to square it for a tap in too.
Maybe some refs would have let him off with a yellow card here, because of the angle - but the defender is so far away and the GK is nowhere in sight, so I think the vast majority of referees would rule this a red card, too.
He is a PSG player, just on loan in Leipzig. So I guess it already is clear. This Xavi Simons fella is a proper talent. Be interesting to see where he ends up
From seeing it live and also from these two screenshots: clear reds. The first one is clear as day:

Yeah it was the angle I was looking at. Just so surprised it was given I suppose as I’ve only really seen them given when straight ahead.

I only saw the two (lucky) goals for Frankfurt. Are they playing better than Dortmund?Oh Dortmund.... 2-0 down and having to change the keeper due to injury after just 30min now...
On the other hand, Frankfurt really arrived into the season and are getting goals now (which they massively lacked at the beginning).

Imagine the refereeing is so bad, the social media interns of BOTH clubs make fun of it after a match.
The DFB has now announced that Wolf's penalty was a mistake, too.
So three penalty calls in a game, all three wrong. Dortmund's second goal looked offside to me too, but who knows what the rules on that are these days.
This might have turned out to be almost as good an opportunity as a penalty, so it's only fitting that the referees fecked it up as well.
Who in the picture is supposed to be offside ?
Pov: tomorrow is a holiday and you're playing the current cup holders:
Not that it makes it better, and the tweet's proposal of giving the big stadium to the women sounds very reasonable, but Niedersachsen is protestant and the holiday was yesterday..
