Television Gavin & Stacey

I just watched all 3 seasons over the last couple of days. Really liked it, i have to say. What else do you Brits have that's worth checking out?

Gavin and Stacey was brilliant and I'm psyched for this. One of the great British sitcoms, by rights Ruth Jones should be the huge international star off the back of it rather than Corden (although I doubt she'd want it).

Coincidence seeing this thread bumped today as I was just reading the Corden AMA on reddit.

Safe to say that it didn't go as planned.
 feck this is brilliant.

I remember only knowing him from Gavin and Stacey and maybe a couple of other shows and not understanding all the hate but then I've heard personal stories about him and found out he is roundly considered a massive cnut by all.

Just seen the story of his wife and him on a flight. Jesus christ.

Saw a clip from this show of him and some woman doing some chart song animatedly, and my word it's rage inducing.

edit, found it

punch worthy.

Oh my christ. Perfection.

Feel a bit bad about Bryn's Instagram friend and the sister, bad things always seem to happen to good people even on TV Shows :(

Tidy episode.

Felt like a slow start but was enjoyable enough. The fishing trip tease was great.

The Mirror (and others) trying to make a big deal out of the use of the word 'faggot' in their version of the Pogues.

Loved the series 10 years ago but that was absolute garbage

I agree, I think I laughed twice.

there was build up about them writing “the best scene ever”, I honestly don’t know which bit they were talking about? Which was this great scene?

Was more Coronation St than a sit com.

Wasn’t great - things only got going once Smithy gf visited and then she left so quickly and it all finished abruptly. Would rather she have come sooner and that awkward tension been there from the beginning rather than the oversentimental nothingness of the first half.

Probably the fishing trip tease or Nessa proposing to Smithy

When I look back on my life, I consider the fact that I've never seen an episode of G&S to be my greatest accomplishment.

Same. Never even once considered it. Not even at my most bored moments.

I decided to watch Gavin and Stacey, for my sins. It was the same old, same old. I was cooking my dinner through most of it and didn't feel I was missing out on anything when I was in the kitchen.

I mean, is it supposed to be a comedy? The only... protagonists, who are remotely funny are the actual comedians. Alison Steadman, Rob Brydon, Julia Davis. The rest, what's the point?

Just realised, I've posted similar in the past, so as apologies for that.
