Quite scathing from the editor of AS.

I'm not worried at all. I don't want him here
...because it's not cold here, no disrespect to Wales, and I get shed loads more moneyI expect a statemnet saying something to the effect of - I never quit and I want to fight for my place.
I think that his criticism is over the top. He should be on the bench for Madrid based on that form, but he'd still be the best or around that player in the league if he comes here — form is temporary, class is permanent.
On top of all this, the guy has had multiple chances to come to us, but hasn't been interested - which is fine. I just wish we'd take the hint and just forget about him. Spending a huge amount of money in transfer fees plus wages for someone who'd only come because his dream team wants rid of him, doesn't sound like what we need.Yeah, I'll be honest, I'd love Bale at United, but his injuries, form for the past year or so (especially for Madrid) is worrying to the point where it's scary if you consider the financial outlay Madrid would want for him, plus his wages.
If Bale and Madrid would be willing to accept a reasonable amount (i.t.o. of fee and wages), it would be a decent gamble, but you just know neither party would, especially not Madrid to us, seemingly.
As for the bolded bit, I totally agree. He has a contract up to 2022 (as per a post above), at a mega wage and with the fans jeering him and players like Isco and Asensio being crowd favorites....nice situation for them!
Or else we'd literally just be funding their next big money transfer.

They'd only do it if Bayern came along. Not usId take him but only on loan preferably a 2 year loan. RM would want a fee though and not just his wages off their books.
You're taking it too literally. The permanent class allows player to play great when he is in form; and when he is off form it doesn't necessarily mean that he is in decline. Form still matters, and Cantona will be completely out of form, so in this equation one element would be, say, zero.It completely disregards so many of the required components to putting in good performances. It's not just skill and form, it's mental state and physical condition too. The statement completely disregards physical decline due to age or injuries which is both permanent and (in the case of age) inevitable. Because otherwise we might as well bring back Cantona since class is permanent and he was undoubtedly class. I'm sure he can do a job at 50, no?
Rooney was in physical decline. I'm not sure that Bale is?Just like Rooney's last years for us, eh?
I don't even want us to sign him but he's not shite.Where are people getting the idea he's becoming rubbish from? Just done some research and since 2015/16 season He's scored 27 goals and got 16 assists in 45 la liga games
The worrying thing is the amount of matches he's missed through injury because his Goals/assists figures are still very good.
He had his chance and he wanted to go to Real so balls to him.
Rooney was in physical decline. I'm not sure that Bale is?
I guess so, but Bale is Cristiano-like in his determination to be the best and to care about his body fitness as good as he can.Not sure either but his last two years (in terms of fitness) do leave a questionmark or two over such a possibility, no?
The power has already been cut.Gareth better get his shit sorted. The electricity surrounding him could quickly fade.
They'd only do it if Bayern came along. Not us
Aye. Not sure what we've done to piss off the football gods.Or Juve...cnuts
Bayern wouldn't spend that much. They're quite thrifty. He'd actually be a very good replacement for Robben/Ribery at Bayern.

Ya. Bale is not in decline. Only in hospital.Rooney was in physical decline. I'm not sure that Bale is?
Hoping we don't get involved. Leave him in Madrid.
Id take him but only on loan preferably a 2 year loan. RM would want a fee though and not just his wages off their books.
Why wouldn't he want to go to the better team?
