Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Walking dead season finale and a new episode of Game Of Thrones...cant get much better TV than that surely.

Was a bit of a weird episode. No Arya, Bran or Jaime at all. Glad it's back anyway. The Tyrion and Tywin scene was great.

The actress who plays Margeary's delivery was really strange at times.

I found myself asking "Who is that?" at every scene.

I probably should have watched a recap beforehand.

Good episode, just enjoyed being able to watch it again. Not being able to watch or read anything has left me in severe withdrawal.

As an aside, I found out today that the actress that plays Shae used to be a porn-star.

Good start I thought. I like Davos despite him being boring when you think about it, I hope he stays around for a while though. Cersie is still as hateable as ever and I wonder if the tyrill girl has some hidden motive behind going to the orphanage? Surely there can't be a character who is just nice?

Why did I read the books :'(

 I feel similar. I kept finding myself thinking "Well that wasn't like that in the books", but obviously it's never going to be exact. Enjoyed the first ep though, all about setting it all up really.

I just started watching this lads so I am playing major catch up here. Love it so far, does all the sex and boobies and shit that was in the first episode continue in the season?

In parts yeah, but the first episode is by far the worst (in terms of sex and stuff) from what I can remember.

I heard a journalist on some podcast say he had the first two episodes to watch for a review or something. Why no leaks? WHY!?

Why are majority of the characters so dislikable? Christ, I forgot how one dimensional they were. At least we got to see the dragons though.

No, only if you're some sort of misanthrope. Anyway, at least folk aren't cardboard cut outs.

Thought it was good how that girl was twisting the words of the slave master so quickly - he was saying he stinks of piss and she managed to change it to something favourable:lol:

That's the cost of TV. There are so many characters and it's written in POV form but that's not the way they do it on TV because otherwise they wouldn't get to utilize them all. If you would do it as it was written you'd get more character depth but the screen time of many characters would diminish.

Love this show. So glad its back. Enjoyed the first episode. Probably enjoyed it even more as it followed TWD finale.

I like how they didnt try and fit every single character into the episode and we will see them in the next one most definately before they cross paths.

Decent first episode.

Not sure if Littlefinger is playing Sansa or will genuinely try to help her. Would like to see more of the zombies in upcoming episodes.

That's one of the many things I really like about this show. They don't rush through a characters stories to make sure they include everyone in every episode. Like the war episode in season 2, they made sure that they did it properly and they completely ignored everyone who wasn't part of that specific battle. Only way to do it right IMO.

That's absolutely fecking terrible, and this is coming from someone who posted the worst joke in the 50K thread, ever.

I know, I know but I still felt like it needed to be posted in here.
