Fyi

We need to find a new replacement now after Blythy resignation, I would like to take this opportunity to nominate myself as the new candidate for the Mod/Admin position.

Jumping in someones grave already :nervous:

I think this will not help your chases......:nono:

if the mods need to replace Blythy as a Mod they should look no further than Marcos, he is around quite a lot and rarely gets involved in aggro with other posters, an all round nice guy

I am a nice guy too. I will promote anyone who say good things about me. Please vote me.

Modding is a right pain in the arse in many ways and it does tend to take you away from posting.

It is, and you hardly even get any thanks when you are doing it, just whinging and people being total drama queens over the silliest little things. Some people need to learn that the moderators of this website do it in their own time at no gain, and that it's fecking hard work sometimes running around trying to clean up after the members of this assylum.

Perhaps there should be a compulsory modship rotation whereby random members are made mods (not admins, mods) of a specific forum for a week and if they do a shit job they get permanently banned.

That'll learn em...

That's a great idea.

i could understand people moaning if we paid for the privilage of visiting this site but we dont, its free!! the whole of this site comes outta someone elses pocket so if people dont like the way its run or its rules then please feck off and go visit another site....i´m pretty sure the whole point of this site is to have fun and discuss any issues that arise....it aint that hard to understand!!
my final words are......have fun or feck off!!!

Spot on.

Wow, first time i'm left speechless in the caf

a lot of the older posters have left or rarely post these days and of the new breed who have joined in the last couple of years you would stand out as Mod material and have proved this with the work you do in the newbies and the fact that you do not seem to have a big ego on here

ps about that loan I asked you for......

consider it done

I think the idea is to end up with noodle being the only mod when he comes from his exile. Him and long lost Re Deus, with the latter having posting rights only in the Mod Forum. No wonder he checks back ever so often

 I miss ReDeus. Got some great recipes out if his threads.

Is Noodle in exile? He keeps popping up often enough.

He's singlehandedly trying to reinvent the English language.

That's a big shame.

But thanks Blythy for posting your reasons, very honest from you.

Obviously no-one has to post reasons but it was nice that you did, and it's made me respect you even more for that.

Fair play.

Oh and CS....shut up.

Agreed.

Cheers Blythy.

I am a software engineer. I work in a department of 18 engineers, we use Windows (and VMS)
Of those 18 engineers, 7 have Macs at home.
Draw your own conclusions.

PS cheers Blythy, enjoy your retirement.

And we know Weaste is the better engineer

He uses £15,00 software in both Spanish and English

I wouldn't touch The Speakers bargepole with a Mac.

Ermm..... Have I missed the point?

I agree, Marcos would do a great job if he was made a Mod.... just keep him away from the oranges and everything should be fine! ;)

I also want to say thank you to blythy and Weaste for moderating, and really to all the Mods.

I will speak for the sane posters on here by saying we realize modship is a time consuming responsibility that is filled with plenty of grief and without you the Cafe would not be a place we would choose to spend our time at.
