Television From - TV Series | Season 3 FINALE out now

I reckon they could have compressed the this season and the last one into 4 or 5 episodes. There is about 5-10 mins of interesting storyline per episode. The rest is just soap opera filler no one cares about.
This entire season could easily be fit into 2 episodes at most. Nothing really has happened and around a week has passed in Fromville.

I know the whackos on Reddit will find a bazillion clues and conspiracies for that episode but, how is this getting so bad?

Why on earth do we have to spend 40 mins of a 50 minute episode split between listening to Tabitha and her entire family have heart to hearts (a family no one likes) and the rest of the episode is spent in Fathima crying and the town roaming around town looking for her?
I don't even mind the writers not wanting to reveal too much but given how the last 5 episodes have been, at this point, I don't think they're trying to go for a character driver show. I just don't think they have enough content. This episode, yet again, had just 3-5 mins of real content.

The thing is, the first 4 episodes were really good, with episode 1 in particular being incredible. For some reason they leant away from the action to draw out some of the most boring stories going (in fact, they would probably be a lot more interesting if they progressed quicker).

Maybe they just didn’t have enough interesting content for a full season, in which case they should just scrap the 5 season idea and just get to the point.

They don’t have enough and they’re stretching it out imo. They fill the episodes with slop and rely on the mystery aspect and cliffhangers to keep the audience interested. That’s only going to work for so long. I’m already thinking about giving it up.

I see a lot of praise for Victor as a character but I find him annoying as feck.

I ended up reading the spoilers from Reddit, and i does sound a bit shit. Obviously there’s a few places they can take it which might improve on it, but it doesn’t sound very well planned[/quote]

Victor was my only hope, he'd take that axe chop down the tree, maybe take few trying to stop him, in the process.

Randall seeing bugs is now main attraction. It's over.
My favourite bit of that part was when the cop (who had her gun but no bullets) went for her gun.

I like that there is such a unanimous dislike for a show I hate so much. I don't even have the energy to rant about this, I feel as drained as kimono lady after watching an episode.

I think he was good in the first couple of seasons, but him becoming ever more central has ruined him, and there's very little range to the character so he's become annoying yeah.

I know from the TV thread that a number of people have watched this. For those who have not, here is a trailer:

So, what are our theories for what is going on? I think it's on pretty much everyone's mind that this feels like Lost 2.0. What do we think the white lights are? Who do we think answered the radio at the end? Who is showing up in the bus?

Mad that we still dont know the answers to the first 2 questions

What do we really know the answers to? They've answered pretty much nothing this season. Apart from all of this probably starting because of the children.

Whatever that's supposed to mean. New characters next season?

I fail to see why it's going to take them over a year to film it and release it as well. It's on a pre built set, none of the actors are really huge names likely to be in huge demand, there's no real CGI, they already know the storyline so should be quick to write. Give them a couple of months off, write it, and film the cnut over 3 months (bearing in mind TV used the 24 episodes a year, every year, it can't be that hard ffs).

This gap of over a year between series needs to stop.

needing until 2026 to write the characters and dialogues for this show

And probably in even lower demand after seeing their performances in this.

I can definitely see myself not giving a shit about it anymore come 2026.

I can only assume they find out how to get out and now the story is them trying to make it happen. And Fatima crying about how difficult it is.

You give a shit about it now?
I give a shit about the mystery. I am curious to know more about the monsters and the 'bigger danger' alluded to. I don't really care about who lives and dies to find that out.

With season 4 only coming up in 2026, it means that nothing will be happening on the show in 2025. Which will be just like it's on air for the entire year, really.

The plot will probably move quicker while it’s off air tbh.

Well that made the last 5 episodes of nothing worth it.

Let’s hope they rethink the pacing for season 4, because we need more like the first few episodes of season 3 and that finale.

Jade playing violin under the tree, while Boyd torturing Elgin, just to be visited by Sara with a screwdriver.

Holy shit, this feckin series...

A much better paced finale with some solid answers. What was inevitable though
was Jim dying. It was so obvious after he turned into a "good" dad and husband over the previous episode.

Avoided the thread for the past month and a bit as I heard that the final episodes were leaking out... turns out nothing was posted here.

Would have made more sense for the colony house gang to just follow Elgin to where Fatima was than try to get it out of him by torturing him.

As soon as Jim came out with that stuff about the music notes I knew he'd be dead by the end of the episode. The wig Julie wore was awful. I get they were trying to convey the time travel aspect but jesus...

Laughed when it turned out the "baby" was Smiley – so they can't kill the monsters after all, or the villagers will end up pregnant and give birth to them again?

Edit: and looks like we've now got the main antagonist in the Man in Yellow

Jim was dead the minute they tried to show him as an improving father/husband last episode. Man was done then.

As for the monsters, yes, they clearly got their immortality with the sacrifice of the children and there is going to be absolutely no point trying to kill them off.

Annoyingly, I did read one of the leaks on Reddit and it turned out to be correct. It wasn’t the biggest reveal so it didn’t bother me that much.
