Very close fight thought it would go to 12 rounds and Groves was going to edge ahead, Groves just left himself open and Froch just caught him with a power house of a shot to KO him. Froch had a much better attitude with his approach today.

Maybe Froch can go and fight a world class fighter now. Maybe get schooled by Ward again. He's a tough fighter, but it's amazing what a bit of trash talk can do. Going into the first fight no one gave Groves a chance.
I can't believe they managed to manifacture this into something that sold out Wembley.
If Froch had've been fighting anyone worthy of the occasion they'd have smacked him senseless with how open he was every time he tried to move forwards.
It was like he could afford to do it because he knew Groves wasn't good enough to hurt him.
Just convinced me all the more that the manifacturing for this fight began before the first one took place.
Groves has already beaten DeGale. Once in the amateurs and again in the pros.

Jermaine Taylor dropped Froch.
Except that Froch has beaten every single person he's ever faced at Super Middleweight, barring Andre Ward who is considered by most to be #2 on the current p4p rankings behind only Floyd Mayweather, who will comfortably go down as one of the best boxers to ever lace up his gloves. Not only that, but as far as I know, Groves is the only person who has knocked Froch down in HIS ENTIRE CAREER* (and he has faced more or less every one of the world's top 10 SMWs baring DeGale) , so it's not as if Groves is a punchless chancer.
Froch is a genuinely world class boxer and anyone who claims different should honestly just go and watch MMA or WWE or something. Yes his style is ugly and awkward, no he won't ever win any prizes for his ability, but it's a fight, and if you can knock your opponent out every time it really doesn't matter how well you jab and move. Froch has always been from the Homer Simpson school of boxing, but hey, it works for him and it doesn't make him any less good.
* Apologies, I had forgotten that Jermaine Taylor had also knocked down Froch when Froch then KO'd him in the last seconds of the 12th
Slightly confused by what you mean by this.
Not really complicated. Anyone who thinks Froch is not world class is wasting their time watching boxing because they've not got the slightest clue what is happening.
That was more a flash knock down, he was never really hurt from it. Now Groves is really the only the fighter to drop Froch and really hurt him IMO.Jermaine Taylor dropped Froch.
Do you honestly believe that Froch isn't a world class fighter?Maybe Froch can go and fight a world class fighter now. Maybe get schooled by Ward again. He's a tough fighter, but it's amazing what a bit of trash talk can do. Going into the first fight no one gave Groves a chance.
Ahh, so this is a "my view is more important than yours and anyone that disagrees with me is wrong" thing?
Froch is an excellent fighter, but there's no need for that high and mighty bollocks, and dragging other things that you might not be a fan of just makes you look like a right dick.
He was clearly hurt from it. Watch it again. That was more a flash knock down, he was never really hurt from it. Now Groves is really the only the fighter to drop Froch and really hurt him IMO.
He finished the round on top from what I remember. Will watch again though. He was clearly hurt from it. Watch it again.
Well yes and no. My view isn't more important than anyone else's, but anyone that disagrees that Froch is world class is just wrong. It's like me trying to tell you that the sky is green; it's just not in any way shape or form true by any measure that you care to use. And I really don't get your other point. What did I drag into it
Nah, he's on Queer St for the remainder of the round. 13.16.
Well no, not at all.
Different people may have different views on what constitutes world class, you think he is world class, good for you, I don't, I'm not wrong just as you're not, it's a difference of definition. It's in no way akin to saying that the sky is green, that's a ludicrous analogy.
Oh, and you definitely dragged MMA and wrestling into it, that's the bit that I fecking highlighted for Christs sake.
After the knock down he was fine. That is evident how he finished the round. That knock down was no way near the same level as the Groves knock down.He clearly stumbles into the ropes soon after. He also took an 8 count. If he was fine he would have gotten straight back up. He admits himself that he was hurt.
I didn't say it was. I said he was clearly hurt. Which he was. After the knock down he was fine. That is evident how he finished the round. That knock down was no way near the same level as the Groves knock down.
Aye, my assessment of it being a flash knock down was some way off tbf. That was probably because I remember him finishing the round strong and not looking in bad shape, that I'd got it in my head it wasn't much of a knock down. Oh well.I didn't say it was. I said he was clearly hurt. Which he was.
Well no, he's beaten every top 10 rated SMW out there barring Andre Ward who is considered the #2 p4p, and barring James DeGale who he hasn't fought and who lost to Groves as I said earlier. I don't know what definitions of world class there are which wouldn't include Froch? It's just a fact. It really is. I don't care how you measure it, it's just plain and simple a fact.
And no, all I said was that someone who doesn't think Froch is world class should get their fill of combat sports elsewhere, as boxing clearly isn't for them. I just happened to throw out 2 other sports that came to mind but I didn't drag them into anything
I agree with that statement indeed.Let's not even get started on Calzaghe. I think he would have beaten Froch in a fight, but then again I don't think he would ever have had the balls to fight him. That's why Froch clearly is world class and why there's a HUGE asterisk alongside Calzaghe's name.
