Froch Vs Groves 2

That hurt him bigstyle. He didn't know where he was, he was laid on his back with his guard still up!

Shame really, I was hoping it would go a round or 2 more. Decent fight, but nothing great.

Great hit

Groves was so disappointing, Froch had this the whole match bar a few stray lefts from Groves

Pleased with the result, you could tell from the off that Froch's mindset was much improved from the last fight.

A punch that will be replayed for many a year.

You lot are nuits. Groves was comfortable! The Sky Sports commentators are clueless.

Even Froch acknowledges it was a close fight before the KO. I had it 4-3 to Groves after 7.

It was a close fight, Froch was ahead by a couple for me though. Certainly not Jim Watt levels though, shite commentator.

It will be hard for Groves to come back from this, two big loses now.

Anyone got any highlights or footage? Just got in from work.

It's a good punch! Very out of nowhere... for me it looks worse for Groves, than good for Froch... if that makes sense.

Nonsense. He's 26 and still a very good boxer. He'll easily come back from this.

Disagree, losing twice to same guy in such a big fight will hurt him IMO. Of course he could come back from it, but to say it will easy is rather silly. Long road ahead for Groves.

I don't think there is any disgrace in losing two fights to Froch at age 26, crazy to just write his career off.

Always preferred Froch, but despite all the respect - he just can't be modest in his interview!

No place for modesty, Groves went on and on prior to the fight and Froch put him on his ass. Groves has to accept looking like an idiot for a while now, it's the risk you take in boxing ala Haye being an idiot before Vlad.

He was a whistle away from the third person... it was cringe.

"Carl Froch knew that if Carl Froch hit him with a few trademark Frochies, Carl Froch would take the fight, because Carl Froch."

Bullshit. I'm sorry but it's not even worth responding in detail to.

Yeah I agree. Groves's stock would have fallen a lot after that hit. Froch is still Froch.

I don't get why they waste time trying to praise each other in the post-fight interviews. We can see it's completely insincere, so why bother?

The best thing about that punch is how he tees it up, makes following through effortless.

It seemed so shocking and vicious in the context of the round.

Next I think we'll probably see Froch in Vegas and maybe even get Groves v Degale 2.

Groves v DeGale 2 would be fantastic! Although I think Groves should take an easier fight next time or maybe even 2 before going back to that level. I genuinely think DeGale is capable of being the best British p4p boxer, even above Froch and I do think he'd beat Froch barring a punch like that one tonight.

That was some hit! Glad Froch won, Groves managed to outcunt him in the build up which was some feat.

Sorry but DeGale isn't at that level. Not Froch's anyway.

It was very satisfying to see the bad blood settled, after all the 'gob' from Groves these past weeks and months. He's undisguisedly been made second best tonight though. One of the sweetest knock-outs I've seen in boxing, not the best fight; but an amazing conclusion in terms of drama and justice. Great to see the old man ice that young pretender!

That's just what I was thinking, he'd say a few muted good words about Groves - then reiterate his supremacy. The bit where he started sounding off about his 12 time champion status and how he's one of the world's top elites nearly made me reach for the mute button!
