Poor source though...

poor source, so why do you keep posting from them? You then have a pointless radical debate out of nothing based on fake news. This is quite clearly BS and the sources should definitely be moderated..

Fabrizio maintains that we haven't even started with personal terms and he wants to stay. This is annoying now. Get it done or move on.
Pretty sure you can't approach a player to discuss personal terms without the permission from the selling club can you?

Clubs usually know whether their terms will be accepted beforehand as they'd likely have a quiet word with their agents and say this is what we're likely to offer, or the agent will say this is what we'd likely want

Based on?

Or pocco….

He doesn't seem reliable so probably not true. Wait for a T1 UK journo to comment.
Yeah, was kind of my point, there's no way they would just say something like that. They'd have to be lawyered up to the teeth.
I think it's a fair offer.

Write off 14mil in order to push through a move he's not exactly mad keen on, but Barca and United both do want to happen, seems like a reasonable and respectful request the player should jump to accept.
Sorry, they get to write of 14m of obligated payments and also get to keep all the money for selling him?

You selling anything of any value at the moment? I reckon I could give you a fair offer

6 days ago? You have to really trust this journo's source if you don't think Chelsea have decided to make a move if they were interested. Why on earth would they wait to see if our move breaks down?
Quite possibly because they're aware that de Jong wants to come to United despite what's said publicly. They'd wait until United were out of the picture totally before moving in

'We don't need a LB'...'LB was the last position we needed'....'Lowest priority position and it's the only signing we've made' etc.

We bought a cheap as feck young left back for a position that Telles played waaaaay too many games last season, which is of course exactly the same as buying an extremely expensive player on big wages who plays in the strongest area of your team.

Anyone know why FCB can't make some sort of a deferred payment plan here? 1M / yr starting in 2025 or something like that?

I don't think they need permission, they just need to let the club know in advance. (I could be totally wrong on this)

Grinds my gears when people tweet the same info for approximately 6 weeks, just re-worded by different journos. But they attack anybody that posts another tweet (not even the posters opinion....just relaying fecking information) and try to discredit it. I've said this in previous transfer threads, but is RedCafe supposed to be a fantasy land where we just pretend everything is ok, or can we discuss the potential reality of the situation without having butthurt kids trying to act clever?

I was actually agreeing with you in a very sarcastic way. :D

Isn't that what you just did though?

I'm travelling and don't have much time to fanny about on here

can the caf please reply and let me know what % chance this is still on?

Also even if it is true Chelsea can kiss goodbye to signing Ronaldo if they pull this shit.

I dont think united board care, they will say, ohh we lost out because of CL and Ronaldo didn't want to stay so we had to let him go.

Spin Spin Spin.

Surely wouldn't take this long. They're experts in that field :wenger:

I dunno why they're being this cheap, their wage bill will drop significantly once FdJ, Busquets and Pique leave in a year or two. They should be healthy enough in a couple of years.

They might not exist in two years.

Legally you cant but most transfers nowadays personal terms are discussed first. The reason is, no club wants to put in an offer only to realise the player doesn't want to come.

it happens all the time in football now.

Are you a United fan?

Season ticket holder for around 20 years. Been going to games since I was a kid. How about you?

The difference between you and me is this...

a) I can live without having a certain player. If somebody else sign them, so what? I used to get annoyed when I was about 10 years old, but it doesn't bother me now.
b) I just want to treat everything as though it is possible and not try to shut down any negative news. I've been here many times, and sometimes that negative news is the truth. Why pretend otherwise? I just can't understand your logic at all, unless you are secretly Richard Arnold or somebody that knows for a FACT that what I'm saying is a possibility, actually isnt! And guess what, you don't. So stop trying to shut people down like you know it all.

Has any reputable UK source confirmed the Chelsea news, or is it what it appears to be, Barca forcing our hand and getting us to give in to their demands

The irony is actually quite funny.
