Im not saying it wont happen. Im saying they dont need the money from his sale if he took a wage cut since are selling tv rights for alot more than they would get for him

I simply don't buy it because if their intention was to keep him why have they allowed negotiations for 2 months then including AFTER having the economic levers approved? That would have been the perfect time to tell us to feck off if they knew they had actual financial security to keep him
It's not like Sancho at all because Dortmund outrightly refused to negotiate with us after the deadline. Barcelona have been negotiating with us for months. Simply makes zero sense to keep things going then make a complete 180 at an unusual time

Barca hasn't changed their mind because their situation hasn't changed, it has arguably gotten worse as his wages have increased massively.
Everything points to him leaving.
Just positioning themselves to blame it on big bad Javier Tebas and La Liga that they had to sell.

This seems to be the consensus as to why he made these statements. The Barca fans have known he was probably going to leave for fecking ages now and Barca's stance has always been they'd keep him if they could but understood they had to sell.
Why the sudden change so deep into an agreement? Just makes them look weak if they really had come to the understanding he was leaving
Anyway, hopefully you guys are right, but the stalling and lack of movement for a while is synonymous with our targets in the past who end up falling through
