Ah the old gently being let down tweet, of course it's ending in failure. We've spent 3 months of chasing for this to peta out and we get bargain buy Rabiot instead that no one else wants.

Where's the old agreement with EtH that he joins?? People were so sure we couldn't be that incompetent that we would be blindly whoring ourselves out to him to the detriment of the club's recruitment - guess what we did just that.

If Bernardo isn't possible this summer, Xavi might grant Frenkie his wish and he stays in the end, it would be foolish not to since we aren't in a great need to sell anymore. Memphis leaving plus Dest would allow us to register Kounde and buy a cheap RB.
 
Even if United could get the this deal done before the weekend, Barcelona would insist that it be delayed until after their game against Sociedad just so they could start Frenkie for 1 game while Busquets is serving his suspension
 
FDJ is NOT coming to United. Cmon let it go. He'll stay at Barca until January or Next summer. If Utd get CL next season(have to win Europa now it seems) there's possibility we can get him as no other team in the world will be able to give him the wages we will. But we have to get UCL football

The only way we get Frenkie this window is if we literally break the bank and make him our highest paid player of all time and give barca enough money for them to get Silva for 100m or whatever they need. Not going to happen when were fecking scrounging around trying to sell players to pay for Rabbit hole and some random average Brazilian for 50 fecking million

No one wants Rabiot because he is trouble. Much like Icardi, who you have also been linked with. But it would totally be like the Glazers to sign a couple of bad eggs.

We made the same incompetent mistake with Fabregas. This saga is boring and needs to end. We should sign SMS and get in done with now.
 
For God's sake just get 2 CM please, and if it turns out FDJ is available just get him too using some money from next summer budget if needed. (We didn't buy anyone in Jan either.)

I guess we are so skint, we have 70M£ set aside and that's it.
