Because if he says that and the club sells him then anything else he says would not carry any weight. There is a chance of him leaving but it’s uncertain either way. With that said, I’d say there’s still a slightly bigger chance he stays, based purely on the tone of all the reports as a whole. 70% stay - 30% leave.He hasn't said anything, in fact why can't he say De Jong is going nowhere.
