Maybe we've forgotten what it's like to have players that respect us but this is EXACTLY what he should be doing. He's away on international duty (I think) and the media is asking him about his future - he should be batting this back with standard answers that respect the club he currently plays for and pays his wages. Even if there are talks in the background, he should 100% still be saying the exact things he is.
If only we could have trusted Pogba to go away on international duty and not be a complete piece of 5h1t!

Hoping for some quick moves this summer. We can’t expect ETH to revolutionise our system with the same ridiculous transfer tactics we’ve employed almost forever of dragging everything out all summer. We need players in the door for pre season.

There are many players whom played for different clubs and did well. Do you think that Brazilian Ronaldo loved PSV and Eredivisie when they signed him ?
Frankie is 25 he has less then 10 years playing at the highest level, we are a mess similar amount of time.
As a club we are as big as it gets but as a football team we are so far behind that it is very high risk we can stay trophyless for the next decade.
we as fans have our whole Life with that club and can wait for better times so we can be patient but players want trophies and their time is much shorter so they need to make smart decisions.
I love that club but if I was fantastic player and right now other clubs were interested i would consider signing somewhere else to have my trophy cabinet full after i retire. Then i can buy season ticket at OT and enjoy United, players think differently. Its here right now not in the future.
So if you do not want player who already is at his beloved club because he has second thoughts about quitting and coming to a club in a big mess without trophies and with uncertain future that is strange. Its like i do not want that girl cause she prefer that other handsome guy and i am not her first choice. Like i said the love comes later. You were not United biggest fans from the first day, Rio and Evra were not United fans before joining. Give a lad a chance.
About Champions League Club i do not think is about next season, the players in general want to play in CL so if the club has potential to be in 8/10 season in CL they would not mind to miss first season playing in Europe League. Especially if they have a chance to help a team getting that spot.

Di Maria…. It turn bad. But at the beggining he was playing fantastic and everything was great. Later Van Gaal was moving him around the whole pitch playing in the centre midfield, as a winger and as a striker.
Di Maria was our best player at the time but because he was so creative like Bruno he was wastefull and LvG was not having that. Thats why even though Di Maria was playing good he was being slammed by our manager for not fitting our system and then all the problem begins…

Yea every Barca fan I know rates him highly and view him as a key part of their future so I'm not surprised. They've always said he hasn't been utilized properly or been played in his preferred position given the clubs constant need to force in a passed it Busquets into the XI.
Even online most Culés seem deadset against selling him and would rather give up Gavi and others.
The love from the fans is another reason why an exit would be hard for him I imagine but the club have already made their minds seemingly.
What IF Pogba’s wage demands are too high, which then causes Juve to turn to De Jong as an option. De Jong is younger and comes with less baggage, no brainer imo.
They can’t afford the fee for De Jong. Then he’ll want £300k plus in wages.
De Jong likely has similar if not higher wages and De Jong will require a big transfer fee unlike Pogba. I don't think De Jong is a realistic option for Juve, even if he may prefer them to us.

They *have* to generate income to pursue their transfer targets, and it's certainly not Pedri who'll get sold. So, yeah FDJ will get his move whether he wants it or not.
Are Juve struggling financially? It seems to me that they have spent big when needed and midfield is an area of need.
De Jong is Barcelonas top earner and they want to recoup most of his fee (86M), they simply cannot afford him.

I could see us operating with those 7 for this season and buying again next summer if we had to. De Jong and Garner would be the playmaker while Fred or McTominay are an energy player.

We can all talk a good game and I really want to believe that Manchester United would come good with the 3-4 signings in the summer. But until next season is done, you never really know what Man Utd is going to deliver. With Man Utd after Fergie, It is always like last Sundays Monaco GP formation lap in the rain, every time you turn a corner, there is a high probability of sliding into the barrier.

Why do we always look to spend £70-80m every summer on a single player? Maguire, Lukaku, Pogba, Sancho, none of those were worth the fee.
If it were Pedri I could understand but that price for FDJ is overpaying. Good player but not a great one. For once id like us to scout properly and sign 3 £40m-£50m players in the positions we need instead of one big one and a CB + some unknown 19 year old and then wonder why nothing's changed in our team.

It’s one of the worst things about our recruitment. Our allocation of resources is terrible. We should buy like Liverpool and City - shop in the 40-60m market and only go beyond if the player is exceptional. Players like Sancho and Maguire certainly don’t qualify.
It's nothing new. Even before fergie we always had a Hollywood buy most summers. It's the United way to excite the fans.
We need to drop this if he doesn't want to come. I'm already tired of the circus.
Yes we were breaking transfer records under Fergie as well and tried signing high profile players just as often. It's nothing new, the fees ballooning due to market inflation is the only difference.
Well we don’t. We, like any other club, just look to get the players we want, and are one of the few who can afford the players we want even if they happen to be over £70m.
While I would agree that we generally need to become better at finding players in the sub-50m range, I would also argue that given midfield is a key weak spot and given the crucial extra assurance that comes from FDJ being a player we know for a fact suits exactly the way ETH wants to play, this is a slightly exceptional target. And even for teams like Liverpool who generally operate in that sub 50m range, exceptional targets do exist.
