I still don't understand. Voiding the new contract meant would leave them having drastically underpaid the valid contract, and tens of millions of back pay would be due immediately. No?

Unless you're saying they can just void the parts of the contract that they don't like.
I think they will oblige to pay the original terms in initial contract. They have money now to pay that I assume.

But because agreed to defer the wages the contract Barca management offered to those players were astronomical which economically not viable for them now.

So barca try to go back to original contract and hence they try to make new contracts to be void. So they won't need to pay astronomical amount as per new contract.

Players who okayed to differ the payment didn't get the benefit for not getting wages for those period but have to accept older terms, will get paid accordingly and get done with it. This is what they wanted to achieve by all these criminality in contracts and all I think.

The second one would defo put nail in the coffin for FDJ.

Even though them two are probably better than McFred we are going to have a serious lack of running power and agility in that midfield. Might as well bring back Matic and Fellani.

He doesn't want to join us? What!? No way:eek:

feck this guy...he doesn't want to join us which is fair enough, and he'll willing to get treated like a little bitch by Barcelona. This is a him problem.

We need to focus on signing a striker as if Ronaldo does find a way out we're fecked....we're too shit to sign a striker and midfielder together in 2 weeks. Just play Donny in McTs position. Donny with his leg tied up and a blind fold on will perform better than McT

fecking hell. I was out. Now I’m back in.

I mean after the past 48hour circus, having faith in Utd's faith in getting FdJ is quite a stretch, where's the trust coming from? Or is it muppets trust...

Has Mitten ever broken a transfer story? For all his connections within our club he doesn’t ever provide any breaking news.

Yeah, he was the first to break that we were still in for De Jong and that he was confident of us signing him when everyone else thought he wasn’t coming

It just got deleted, so hopefully you have another Tweet available with that quote.
It was basically mitten saying he doesn’t believe Utd would be interested for this long if they didn’t think they had a chance. He said he’s more confident this week than he was last. It’s just a summary of his podcast.

Thanks. It's good to see that this still isn't going towards being dead as of yet.

Nothing breaking about that. It’s already been said by countless others. And it’s his opinion that he feels FDJ might move here. Nothing concrete to support it AGAIN.

Stay put and mess up their plans, thats his leverage.

What would be the end goal? If he wants to stay and wants his money going back to the 2019 contract does both, the 2019 contract means that Barcelona owe him without any sort of ambiguity, there is no deferred money to negotiate.

Nope. It's obvious he got connections, but never feels like he's willing to put his neck on the line on anything. In this case he has been "there's more to this than meets the public eye" then when something big is revealed he comes with "this is what I was talking about". Paraphrasing of course, but Mitten isn't very good at transfer stories.

Three renewals could go to the Prosecutor's Office for signs of criminality: De Jong, Ter Stegen and Lenglet Piqué, apart, renounces those two years and negotiates to sign a downward renewal This can change the landscape of fair play and the situation of three players

Barcelona are an absolute feckin shambles. They can't get away with this nonsense, can they?

Exactly he isn’t good which means he isn’t reliable. It’s all his opinions. Nothing different to people on the cafe giving their opinions that FDJ is going to come here.

You are mistaken :wenger:
If I am not mistaken this is recycled from what he said last week on a podcast. Obviously the dynamic has heavily changed since.

Aggregator accounts suck balls.

So according to Mitten on that podcast;

- Barca are definitely pushing him out.
- Barca fans don't want to see him go but would accept the financial reasons causing it.
- Frenkie has told two different people that he would prefer Chelsea but would come to us if that wasn't an option.
- Chelsea have NOT bid for him.
- United reps have been in Barcelona A LOT and he's surprised they haven't been spotted more than the once.
- Barca are happy with United's attitude during this whole thing.
- Frenkie may have smiled and waved during the last game to the Barca fans when he scored but his demeanor wasn't great when Xavi addressed the crowd before the match (arms crossed, cheeks puffed out etc whilst the rest of the players behind Xavi smiled and waved).
- He's now more confident that he'll join United.

Why would anyone want to play for them if they got away with this? Seems so counterproductive.

Barcelona: our contracts aren't worth the paper they are printed on.

If we do end up getting FDJ and he doesn’t turn out to be as good as prime Edgar Davids, then I want his contract terminated with immediate affect.
