Sorry you lot but I am not buying this rubbish. Spending an entire window going after an impossible target and ignoring any alternative targets? Starting season with 2 of the worst midfielders the prem ever graced. We are skint. They do not want to spend any more.

Come on for feck sakes Mortough instead of working to help Eric build a team went to a pub to chat with some drunken goons and got secretly filmed by one of them who had placed his phone on his bollock.

We must simply face the fact the club has become a complete shitshow circus.

He may be what we need. He may not. But if it cost us dropping 7 or 8 points before September and the season hasn't even got going yet, he would not have been worth it.

I'm certainly in the feck de Jong camp right now. So many are going to look stupid when he rocks up in a Chelsea shirt.

I will preface this by saying I love the muppet threads, the optimism, and the fun. But I have been unable to compete because I have never been able to abide by the price.
So I'm a closet muppet. Please be careful what you wish for.

I'm just a bit jaded : tired by the leeway afforded to last year's first team squad and tired of clubs (and worst run ones than ours) taking the piss. We should not pay for Barca's BS. Don't just waste the club's money. (Unless the Glazers are personally financing the operation).

It’s still early days. I felt mad and sad during and after the game, but now I am back on track. Todays result and Arnautovic cannot ruin the fact that we will be better than today. Hell we were a lot better in pre season.

If you think about it, it is better to get this shit match now and get working with the actual issues going on. We have had lots of false dawns.

Oh I wasn't talking about the match and where I think ETH will lead us playing wise. I think even today there were small signs of progress and it will take time, that's completely fine by me.

It's just really this one person in Arnautovic I absolutely cannot get on board with. Serious questions need to be asked about whoever came up with that idea.

If true I trust EtH. He might have some qualities on and off the pitch he can use. Either way, we are short. We need to get some players in. Frenkie or similar player is the key imo.

In terms of quality, I take comfort in that we are looking for a player of his ilk too.
