Why have you ignored the point I made where everything you said was completely false? There's literally no proof to anything you said.

No, the reason I ignored it, is because your whole point is splitting hairs based on the fact that the FDJ deal can still happen, when its looking extremely likely that it wont.

You forgot to add 'embarrassing' to your self-loathing rant.

Rather that than be a bootlicker.

Nearly 100 pages in 4 days since the 1000th page and basically zero updates. I'm all for a bit of muppetry but this is beyond insanity!

Or... you could come here, be paid 400k a week, loved by fans as our first proper too class midfielder - bar Bruno - in years, experience the city that Pep doesn't want to move from, help rebuild us into challengers again - properly this time - under a manager who knows how to get the best out of you and will build his team around you. We also happen to pay our players and provide them with lucrative bonuses.

If you need some weeks in the sun, we have been known to fly players down to Dubai in a private jet at the club's expense.

Or you know... you could get paid 120k, be a centreback for Xavi and be blamed for Barca underperforming.

I hope and think that Frenkie realises this and its all about getting what he is owed.

This is some next level cringe. Frenkie will thank his lucky stars when he’s out of that shitshow. Ideal situation: we get Frenkie near the end of the window then the feckers go into administration anyway.

The way they are running the club its bound to happen!

One of the worst fanbases in the world.

Either way Laporta will come out as a winner. If he stays, he would be on lower salary and if he moves, the fans will see it as FDJ wanting money over Xavi.

Its basicly a circus! Frenkie cannot possibly forgive this behavior.

It sounds like things are moving now and Barca are at the negotiating table to decide the payout.

Still fully expect this to happen.

How can you be in pole position if you've made no bid and showed no further interest. Why are Barca so intent on this Chelsea info being out there
Because barca seem to love screwing with the chelsea this summer

The fact that Tuchel is admitting they’ve been approached to buy De Jong, but he refuses to meet the 67 million fee they quoted seems like pretty big information.

Is that really what you guys have already offered?

Man, I know you guys want him, but part of me hopes he successfully refuses to leave, and Lewa, Kounde and the others are told not to worry, they can be part of the official Barca fan community til they can be registered next year. Oh, and their wages will be “deferred”. No problem, you can trust them.

I agree with what is being said in the below clip, and think the deal will be done.

Or you know, Chelsea doesn’t want to bail out Barcelona considering they had 2 of their targets stolen despite reaching an agreement with the other club.

It's not splitting hairs, it's fact. You said:

De Jong is taking a paycut at Barca - He's not.
He backs himself to get into the XI - Never been mentioned anywhere.
Moving to Utd would be 'giving up' - where've you got this from? except your own opinion?
We didn't wrap up earlier deals because of the FDJ saga - false, we've signed two midfielders.
We are no closer to FDJ - again, we are as close as can be without having him in a red shirt - we've agreed to sign him from his club, it's now down to him.
Murtough is doing nothing - clearly, that's why we've signed 3 players and have agreed a deal for a world class midfielder.

Honestly, at least back yourself up with something.

Yup this popped up as well, so I'm hoping they're atleast talking about the potential payout.

Pretty obvious he was never going to take a paycut. Over the past few days I've seen people call Frenkie a fool, stupid, and plenty of other things.

Let's make this clear again...Frenkie will leave and come to us, he just wants to get paid what he is owed!!!

Of course he can stand his ground and remain on his current contract. It obviously won't be a pleasant environment for him to be in if he's going into the new season where he's basically stopped Barca registering all their new signings. I'm sure the club management and some players won't be happy with it.

Or he could choose to take a pay cut and remain on good terms with the club and have a higher chance of getting minutes than being a perceived rebel and standing his ground. It all comes down to what circumstances he chooses to work in. But my original point still stands in that I don't believe it's Barca refusing to pay him which is causing the reluctance to move.
How is that HIS problem? It’s not. It’s the clubs problem. Maybe they should have thought of how the feck are we going to meet our salary cap before going buck mental in the transfer market? They are trying to get the stable to fit after buying a bunch of new horses. Terrible forward planning.
Again how is this the players fault? They agree a contract with him and then a new one just last season to help them out, which he gladly did. Where does that stop? When they need more new players next window will they ask for more wage cuts again? Oh look frenkie is at fault he won’t reduce his salary enough.
It’s World Cup year, he won’t be happy sitting on the bench taking less money for the 2nd time. They can’t even keep the word of the contracts they just made.
pay the lad what’s owed and let him leave. That’s how it’s resolved. Not by bullying.

Best word describing Barcelona is - Entitled.

They feck upp and want everyone else to bow down and fix their mistakes and the expect it.

I just feel like the fans should be calm about this.

De Jong is arguably the best we could find and go for in such a position and we are not in the best of states yet either.

Id rather go for him and fail rather than have those states where we target absolutely rubbish players.

I'm setting aside the Glazers. We can all agree that they could and should spend more. For the purpose of our discussion, let us accept that we have 120mil + sales.

A - I think the club counted on Ronaldo for the next season with plans for Martial to be sold and the money reinvested. Martial then impressed and showed willingness and we probably decided that we will try with them as our main strikers and strengthen other areas. Now Ronaldo wants to leave and we can't really make any money by selling him and no club is actually interested. A not unsettled Ronaldo was already a big unknown in terms of fitting in our system and actually fulfilling his tactical duties. Now the manbaby is actively trying to leave and his legendary "professionalism" is the only thing that gives us a glimmer of hope that he will try to perform.

B - Ronaldo is probably 100% starting for Portugal even if benched for 3 months. We can't afford to make him play with the youths because of his hefty wage. It is somewhat of a financial suicide. The situation needs to be resolved and quickly. I think it would be for the best if he bought out his contract. It will be easier for him to find a club that way and we will have some cash to reinvest.

If we sign FdJ, the well will be essentially dry. We still badly need a RW and a RB even before taking the striker situation under consideration.

If that's the truth then ETH should be fuming. After all both Ole and Mourinho had a bigger transfer budget in their first year then he did. Now let's tackle your points

Martial was always going to be difficult to sell. He was struggling with United and he struggled at Sevilla. I believe that the club counted on Ronaldo for the next season for 4 reasons.
- we had bigger fish to fry then the STK department
- Ronaldo is still a half decent striker, Martial was here to stay and Rashford can play as a STK if needed
- Ronaldo was portrayed as a club legend. Surely he wouldn't leave us in our time of need?
- Even if he wanted out no club would be silly to spend money on a 37 year old striker especially since he's on a huge salary

Turned out that Ronaldo is a cnut after all.

Ronaldo might be able to start for Portugal in 3 months time if he's benched for the next 3 months. However 3 months without match game will mean that he'll be incredibly rusty. If Portugal does badly (we're not talking about France or Spain here) and Ronaldo returns to OT only to be benched again then his career is basically over. No one would want a whiney 38 year old striker who had already burnt bridges with 2 clubs and who would ask for silly money.

Now back on the transfer market. There are some decent options who would cost us around the 20m-30m mark, from Kalajdzic to Depay right to Moussa Dembele. Meanwhile Belotti is on a free while I am pretty confident that Chelsea would listen to a loan deal for Werner if needs be. I am not expecting the STK problem to be sorted now. What I don't want to see is our club at the mercy of an unhappy Ronaldo. God forbid if that had to happen. So while I agree that we don't roll out the red carpet to him on his way out we must also protect ourselves just in case he causes trouble. United must be in a position to isolate him if necessary.

Oh no, that's actually kind of clever. Makes up some amount of those deferred wages (because he gets paid the 20M+ this year, so one year's worth of deferred wages are being paid) and Chelsea do want him next season.

There is absolutely zero chance Chelsea risk losing another potential target - that's after the fact they don't need him. They will not be interested in Frenkie and Bayern are not going to spend that money/pay him as much as he is on.

Where did Tuchel say that?

Saw this in the rag press, but thought it made sense.

Utd loan De Jong for 12 months with option to buy.

Barca clearly want rid, gets him off their wage book and gives De Jong a year to see how it goes at Utd, do we make Champions League etc. he will want to be playing regular football in a World Cup year so no point staying where he wont be playing in his best position
I said this a month ago or so! I think this makes very much sense (if FdJ is reluctant to commit his future to Utd).

 SPORT are just trolling United fans at this point
Sport are so boring.

I think you guys are laughing too soon. Chelsea specifically do want him next year when Jorginho's contract ends.

By structuring it as a loan, Barca will get Chelsea to pay one year of FdJ's inflated contract (deferred wages). He will give up on the other year's worth of deferred wages I presume. So it's meeting in the middle between the club / player.

If this is an option though I don't understand why we won't be in for it unless the rumors were true and FdJ doesn't want to go to a club that's not in the CL.

Chelsea don't need him and none of their adjacent journos have ever mentioned any interest in him, it's come entirely from Barca friendly sources trying to drum up a market for him.

Bayern have also had an expensive summer already and would never pay the wages he's currently earning at Barca. They didn't want to blow up their wage structure for Ronaldo, they sure as hell won't for FDJ

I just don’t really get why they’d need/want him. It’s always nice to have good players but surely they want another CB (hence the Fofana links) and a ST? Also I’m assuming Gallagher might now get game time if they don’t loan him out.

It's because it's bullshit. We've agreed a 70m+ fee, but now they just want to loan him out? If a loan was an option it would make perfect sense to come to us - he gets the most game time in a WC year and can go back to his beloved Barcelona on his fat wedge. It's just sport nonsense.

None of the Chelsea reliable journalists have gone anywhere near this story
