With that fee and the wages Barca are paying their top players you can be sure they won’t be in for De Ligt.
Hopefully. I would be pretty upset if Barca manage to get him by selling off Coutinho. With that fee and the wages Barca are paying their top players you can be sure they won’t be in for De Ligt.
fecking hell, 90 million. That's just insane fee for a player playing in Dutch league and only good team he played against in CL was Bayern and he was just decent in that game. Even in Dutch league, he played 3000 mins which is around 33 games.
It's a huge risk, maybe clubs have complete confidence in his talent.
Pulisic was 60 million pounds wasn't he? This seems in line with that given how highly rated he is. Fees have gone mad now.Yeah maybe they see him like a Mbappe like talent. PSG, City and Barcelona were after him, and all of them were willing to pay 75mEuros for him. Must be special. I haven't seen him play apart from one or two internationals.

Imagined it and can't eat for days now. Loved the three dots at the end of the post as well, implying arousement at the fantasy...I'm also jealous at PSG for having Mbappe. Imagine Pogba feeding him with those balls...
The fee is insane, but in line with what's been going on in the transfer world. I mean just look at Lukaku in comparison to Pogba. Or Dembele in comparison to Pogba.
De Jong isn't some guarantee, but these days potential is what matters. De Jong has the lot for a DM and it looks like Barca is looking at the reward over the risk.

Coutinho is their wing option. In midfield, they have Busquets, Arthur, Rabiot(is it confirmed?), Rakitic, Vidal, Boateng and now De Jong. So I'm guessing Vidal and Boateng will leave for sure. Rakitic might also leave. The rest will be their core. What are they going to do with Coutinho, Rabiot, Busquets, Arthur and De Kong?
Coutinho being off might just have some substance to it
There's Vidal, Rakitic and perhaps Alena too. I think it is just Barca signing him so another club won't. I don't think they need him right now. What are they going to do with Coutinho, Rabiot, Busquets, Arthur and De Kong?

But even there, they have pretty solid options. T
Missed that. Who did they get? Barca are now the new Galacticos. They don't hesitate to spend. Don't know how they are going to sustain this as they have some of the highest wage bills in the world too.Just got two defenders recently .
Probably because I edited in my reply to your post@Damien Didn’t get an alert for the above quote, just found it randomly while browsing the thread. Weird, what could be the reason?

Boateng can play there too.Vidal
De Jong
Busquets
Rakitic
Arthur
Rabiot (possibly)
Someone has to be leaving.
Forgot they just signed him.Boateng can play there too.
Pretty sure that they've signed Boateng as a cover for Suarez. He has been playing as a center forward for the last 2 seasons and they need someone with his skillset there as opposed to a more traditional striker like Alcácer. In midfield, they have Busquets, Arthur, Rabiot(is it confirmed?), Rakitic, Vidal, Boateng and now De Jong. So I'm guessing Vidal and Boateng will leave for sure.

Boateng is relishing the challenge of winning a place in the team. “I know it will be difficult to make the starting eleven as there are incredible players here, but it is a gift just to play alongside them.
“Leo Messi? He has been showing for the last 10 years that he is the best in the world and it will be an honour to play alongside him.”
The centre forward has experience in La Liga with Las Palmas and for him there is no better place to play. “It’s the most important championship in the world where the best football is played and where the best players are. I know it and I feel at home here,” added Boateng.
“I want to play now but that is for the coach to decide. The objective is to show that I can stay here for longer.”
"This is a test and I know I haven't arrived as a starter, but I want to play well and stay for many years, that's my goal," he explained in his introductory press-conference.
"At almost 32 years old, the role of a No.9 is perfect for me.
"It's important to have a player like me in the team because I have other attributes."

Semendo and lenget.
Yes he was!Pogba really was a steal.
Pretty sure I’ve read that their Nike/Rakuten deal is the highest in world football. And last years spending was fueled by the PSG Neymar millions. They have the biggest wage bill in football, they just spent close to 270 m last year, they just keep on buying every talent out there still. Where is the money coming from.

I thought he would be the perfect replacement / understudy to Busquets but just read that he signed a new contract to 2023 and is only 30 so a good few years left in him. Rakitic possibly but they play in different positions so shouldn't have an impact.Vidal
De Jong
Busquets
Rakitic
Arthur
