Very disappointed with the draw.

NADAL

Isner first round.
Soderling in his quarter.
Murray in his half.
Round of 16: Verdaco
Quarter Final: Sod

DJOKOVIC
De Backer first round.
Del Po potentially in the third round.
Fed in his half.
Round of 16: Gasquet
Quarter Final:Berdych

FEDERER
Lopez first round.
Djoko in his half.
Round of 16:Tsonga
Quarter Final: Ferrer

MURRAY
Qualifier first round.
Melzer in his quarter.
Nadal in his half.
Potential 3rd round: Raonic
Quarter Final: Melzer

Best First Round Games :

Federer-Lopez, Delpo-Karlovic, Nadal-Isner, Djoko-De Bakker, Verdasco-Monaco, Gasquet-Stepanek

I might be biased but I think Nadal's got the toughest draw of the four of them with Verdasco,Sod, Melzer/Murray in his half and with an opening round match vs Isner.

Fed and Djoko should make it quite easily for their semi final.

Yes you're biased!

Isner in the first round at Roland Garros, that's basically a bye

True true but he's done well this season (in doubles though :p )

But still he and Murray have a far harder half than Djoko and Fed. Should be interesting!

Rafa and Sod training together?

I hope so but I can really see Djoko winning it. I can just pray Fed or someone take him out before the final.

Potential 3rd round: Raonic
Quarter Final: Melzer

Nicolas Almagro looks worthy of a bet at just over 5/2 to win that Quarter. Don't see Murray making it to the semis.

Almagro isn't anywhere near his last year form though so I don't think he'll make it. However Murray's just ever beaten one Top 10 player on Clay so yes he might not make it either.

You're getting the excuses in early then

Na actually Djoko's half is as bad. Del Po and Gasquet in the 3rd and 4th rounds potentially.

I don't really expect Nadal to win RG this time though if he faces Djoko in the final.

Some first day shocks already.

Cilic lost to Ramirez () in straight sets and Gulbis just lost the first set 6-1.

Well no big players playing today. Nole and Fed on tomorrow and Rafa on Tuesday.

Hewitt pulled out this morning :(

Federer might have slipped to third in the rankings but he is not convinced that his rivalry with world number one Rafael Nadal is being threatened by Djokovic.

"I think they definitely need to play some Grand Slam finals against each other to get to that level," he said.

"I had great rivalries with [Andy] Roddick, [Lleyton] Hewitt and Nadal - Nadal was not my only one. You go through a career where you have multiple rivals and probably one main one, and for Rafa and myself it's been either one.

"I think that will always stay no matter how many times Rafa and Novak will play each other."

Well done Federer, hope you're proud of that achievement. In the mean time Djokovic will just set about sweeping Nadal off the court time and time again.

"Great rivalry" with Roddick? The same Roddick he has a 16-1 record or something like that against?

federer is so bitter

im going to roland garros tomorrow looking forward to it

No exams, can't wait to enjoy this feast of tennis!

Enjoy it brother.

I was looking into pre-emptively booking the semis/finals in case Djokovic makes it.

Anyway Djokovic swept that dutch guy under the Roland Garros clay very smoothly. Good signs.

Well no discredit to Djoko but De Bakker was never really going to cause Djokovic any troubles ;)

Infact the only person I can see taking a set off him is maybe Del Po in the third round.

Nadal plays so far behind the baseline, he may as well sit on the first row...

His fault really, his serve is only thing working for him today. Isner is shite on clay so Psmith post is not that far off. It's the same thing happening to Nadal like Federer against Falla at Wimbey..

Tempted to unload on Rafa at 3.1 on Betfair

seems like a good bet. If Nadal was losing 2-0 I wouldn't think twice, but 3.1 is still good.

The biggest surprise so far in the match is not that Nadal is losing, but that he hasn't called for an ambulance yet. :D

Ana Ivanovic needs to sort her shit out, what the hell is her problem. 45000 unforced errors, crap serve, how inconsistent can she be.

That's why I said the Nadal draw isn't easy. Isner has a huge serve and off late Nadal has developed a habit of turning absolutely garbage in tie breaks which shows in the 2 tie breaks he lost today.

A break up in the 5th set now so hopefully he closes this out but I don't trust him after his 2nd set collapse and the set points messed up in the 3rd :nervous:

50 pounds on it :D

On a surface that is almost playing like a hard court there is no way that Isner wasn't going to give some sort of problem to Nadal. Looks to me like Rafa has a nice run to Soderling in the quarters now.

Well Nadal wins it finally in the 5th but while I'm happy with the result and response from being 2-1 down, I'm massively disappointed with the performance.

Over the last few months he's developed this habit of falling to pieces on important points which is surprising because he was a great pressure player.

Anyway a decent run till the quarters now.

Almagro went out today after being 2 sets to love up and 5-2 up in the 3rd set

Isner says Nada's level in the final 2 sets was the best he's ever seen.

Not too sure about the 5th set there but Nadal was stunning in the 4th. Not even one UE

Considering the guy was 181st in the World, not too surprising :p

Fed was great in the last 2 sets but the first set was rather shocking stuff at times.

Del Po just won his first set 6-3. On course for a 3rd Round match vs Novak!

Federer said he had trouble dealing with the death of his coach, so maybe that explains his casual distraction and some pretty crap plays..

Djokovic with strapping on his left knee. Is this normal?

If so, hope he gets taken to five long excruciating sets.

He's had that strapping at Rome as well. Didn't really trouble him much. And there's no chance of Hanescu taking him to 5 sets. However Del Po in the next round....

Djoko won the first set 6-4. That performance gives me some hope that Del Po can take a set or two off him!

Nole is quite often a bit shit in the first set though ;)

Not this season ;)

Anyway he won quite easily in the end. As expected.

Del Po vs Djoker could be the match of the tournament.

Expecting Djoker to win in 4.

Dramatic scenes in the Sabine Lisicki vs Zyonareva match. Lisicki had match pts at 5-2 in the 3rd set vs the number 3 seed before throwing it away. In the end she was crying and then had her blood pressure taken and at Full Time she was stretched off and crying yet again.
