24 Brazilian midfielder playing for Shakhtar Donetsk. Duncan saying we want him in January transfer window in his latest podcast.
Is this the bloke they call Fred? If so, apparently Pep is also keen on this guy as a long term replacement for Fernandinho.
Apart from that, I know nothing about him

I think he's more of an attacking midfielder than a defensive one. I've always liked the guy just because of his name.
Apparently he signed a new contract with Shakhtar today or yesterday.
Box to box from the little I have seen. Lots of dribbling, lots of tackling and an eye for goal - think Naby Keita.
These are the types of players we should be signing. Perfect profile.
Are the media linking us to every City target so they can run with the whole “City are superior to United” stories when we inevitably don’t get them?
We’re probably not even in for Sanchez.
Do people still believe Castles knows what he's talking about?
Castles is Jose's puppy why would he do that?
How many fecking players do City need?
In relation to our transfer business. In relation to Jose?

New Transfer Strategy: Sign who ever City want
Maybe 5 years ago, sure. Signing a contract doesn't mean much these days.If Fred has signed a new contract, then it will probably put a swift end to this. The bigger line in that article in my opinion is that we don't have any interest in signing Julian Weigl anymore, big mistake if true .

Aye, we should be aiming for at least #SuperBoom levels. Can we please ban the Tweets of anyone who starts one with the word 'Boom' please?
Even more so these days, players who want to move for a reasonable fee have to run down their contracts, that is of course unless they have their agents put release clauses in the papers they sign!
Clubs are going to demand 40m minimum for every player on their books, the only way out is to leave on a bosman or put clauses in etc.
