He should've started
He should've started
Shocking when he came on. Lost us all control of midfield as he couldn’t keep the ball. Doesn’t feel he ever does well as a sub.
Why? We absolutely bitch slapped Chelsea in the opening half an hour and should of been up but for having rashford up front and not a actual centre forwardedHe should've started
They should have been making attacking runs into the boxthat cross shot he played was absolutely appalling And then to turn and look at rashford and Bruno as if to say “why didn’t get your nut on it” was a joke
Big game player but shouldn’t of been expected to perform in a big game? Not sure what people expect to be thrown in a game like this, had a mixed game but seeing some overreaction here again, is just cringe.
He's a big game palyer like he showed in many game before and probably should have started based on the fantastic performance last game. For Chelsea being on top, was never easy to get into the game for anyone..
Haha it had enough pace on for a shot they’d of had to teleportThey should have been making attacking runs into the box
Shows how clueless we are sometimes. Rashford at the least should have been sprinting to the 6 yard box as soon as he got the ball and shaped. Thats the difference between top strikers and our forwards. Too many of the like the ball to feet or to be slipped in on the groundHaha it had enough pace on for a shot they’d of had to teleport

“Erling Ruud Van Shearer” wouldn’t of got on the end, they’d of had to start their run yesterdayShows how clueless we are sometimes. Watch it back. Both were edge of the box and not moving. He should be making the run before the ball is even kicked and if he did he would have got thereIn the main i thought he did ok, not sure what people were expecting, he broke up play against a quality midfield and was reasonably effective imo at that specific job.
Would be interested to see it back, from memory it was miles away and even a sprint wouldnt have got anywhere near close to it, but could be wrong.
No, it wasn't. Fred has had plenty of good games for us.Spurs game was an outlier
Not really he’s definitely had more than a couple but he’s a problem not a problem solverNo, it wasn't. Fred has had plenty of good games for us.
He's had objectively like a 6/10, not great not terrible for tonight, pretty much like Eriksen overall. Does that mean Eriksen is not a great player capable of putting in 8/10s? only had a MOTM performance 4 days ago and plenty of them every season before.Big game player but shouldn’t of been expected to perform in a big game?

And how has the last 3 years been? He's had objectively like a 6/10, not great not terrible for tonight, pretty much like Eriksen overall. Does that mean Eriksen is not a great player capable of putting in 8/10s? only had a MOTM performance 4 days ago and plenty of them every season before.
No need to bring the Win, Draw, Lose statistics, whenever he started, it's not been matched by almost any player in a Unite shirt over the past 3 years.
It was far too far in front of any striker except maybe prime inzaghi who only would of got there because he’d of been offsideTo be fair, that would have been a good cross had a player been there; all it needed was one touch. Unfortunately, nobody was in the box. As you said in another post, though, if we had a proper centre forward that may well have been scored. I think Haaland would be on the end of that, to be honest.

It was laughably bad
There was far too much pace on the ball, the goal keeper reacted as if it was a shotA proper centre forward would already be making a run into the box, or be in the box already. This has been an issue with our forwards for a while, including Martial. They don't drive forward in the central position.
In the end, the lack of a run, or lack of presence, makes it a poor ball rather than the other way around.

Going round in circles, impossible, let’s agree to disagreeHe put too much on it but he had every right to expect a striker to be getting into that area. Haaland scores that.
This is not remotely the case in my opinion. I think he's been our best midfielder over the last number of years.
Admittedly it's not a very high bar because Pogba was a total show pony, McTominay is limited, Matic was good for about 6 months. But I think once Fred settled after a poor start at the club he's had some very good seasons.
