MOTM again behind Bruno for me.

He is the engine of this team.

Monster performance. I’d like to see the stats on how many times he won the ball back for us today. Motm for me

Love this guy and all his rough edges. With him McT and Bruno we have a great mix of talent and all with fantastic attitudes, no wonder we always look so much better when these three play together. Complimentary.

How does he do it? When he plays well our midfield work well.

He really is fecking awesome. Love his tenacity, energy and durability. Always gives 100%.

He's like the prime Fletcher. Covered every inches, and has a bit of playmaking side too.

He's been elevated to being one of the first names on the team sheet. He absolutely has to be starting.

Played some nice passes between enemy lines today.
Always loved him and my favourite player in United shirt at the moment.

It's getting to the point where I wonder if he's genuinely world class? There aren't many midfielders that cover the amount of ground that he does, that can so effectively break up the play and who is still so composed on the ball. And the performances are consistent now as well. What was his last bad performance?

Was immense today and recently. Back 4 seem relaxed when he plays in front of them.

Great ball on Rashford as well. He did the same pass against arsenal too last week.

Machine today, and his passing was at times sharp and progressive.

I've been defending him since day 1. If you look back in the older threads, there's some pretty shocking posts about him.

Brilliant player. Very happy he plays for United.

He needs to show a lot more to be considered that.

He needs to be able to show discipline, composure and awareness when we have the ball 90% of the time and when he's the sole player in front of the defence. Think peak Fernandinho for City.

To be fair, that's also on the manager and team set up for that to happen.

Right now Fred is doing his job and doing it fantastically, as a box-to-box in a two man combative midfield.

I've always said we should be trying/nurturing Fred at the base behind Pogba/Bruno but that's a pipe dream at the moment..

Fred world class? Please.
He's played well today. Let's just keep it at that.

And was the player racing up to support Bruno when we broke clear at the end for Cavani's goal. What a terrific engine that guy has.
Not sure he's world class, but he we certainly look a better team with Fred in the side.

He was legitimately crap against Arsenal but very good today. Even his passing was superb (put one on a plate for Rashford) If he could play like this every game he would be such a key player for us. Certainly looked a class above the flavour of the month DM playing for Everton.

Brilliant again today. Benefitted from the rest on Wednesday but he has to be one of first names on the team sheet. Great energy, great fight. Shows the “leadership” in his fight for the team everyone says we don’t have

Got to say, I struggle to see his worth in the majority of his games but I am not averse to agreeing when he does have a very good game which he did today. Just behind Bruno for my m-o-m today. Very impressive, again, I just wish he could keep his passing accuracy as good as today a lot more often. I dare say more of us against Fred would change our minds if he kept his head and performed better passes.

If he could keep that level of consistency in his passing, we'd have one of the best ball-winning midfielders around.

Brilliant today...and futher confirms that it's Fred + 1 in midfield.
