It's not like he could make much impact in a couple days. Chelsea are just shite this season
Wolves is a fairly easy start for him, isn't it? A team actually below them in the league.

So, why not stick with Potter until the end of the season then?

My best guess is that Potter might have had some clause in his contract whereby they could sack him for a heavily reduced payoff if certain performance objectives aren't met. They might have been able to bin him off on the cheap with him sitting in the bottom half for example, but it could have cost them a lot more if he sneaked his way into 8th or something by the end of the season.
If that's the case what they've done makes some sense, but it's still funny to see fat tory Frank squirm on the touchline while another one of his teams get stuffed.

Any club that’s sacked 2 in a season has never avoided relegation. I don’t think things will get that bad but you never know your luck.Has any club ever sacked three managers in a season?
So, if a load of stuff you just made up were true, then it would make sense.
Chelsea are a complete shambles. It's a shoddy, shitty little club so they can go feck themselves. Gives us something else to laugh at though.
Well, it's been reported that Potter was given a reduced payoff vs the huge sum he would have been due based on the long contract they gave him.
There must be a contractual reason they've been able to do that, I don't see why he'd have agreed to get sacked on the cheap out of the goodness of his heart.
You’re not wrong but you have to keep in mind who you’re talking to. You’re trying to reason with the wrong poster.
Right. This is the same guy that Kovacic, Pulisic and Kepa (at the very least) publicly dissed in the media when he was fired the first time. But hey apparently he was better than keeping a manager with a better record than him and more talent. In all the managers in the world they had to go back to Lampard
no new manager bounce for Frank Lampard's Chelsea
Correct, I don't give a feck and I'm enjoying the bants.
He's rehired. Just like Hiddink second interim period, no new manager bounceno new manager bounce for Frank Lampard's Chelsea
We all know you sleep in Chelsea pyjamas. This pretence is fooling no one.
Should be. This is supposed to be one of their easier games for the remaining fixture. Going by this performance and result, Lampard may lose more than half of the remaining games.Sack watch?
Lampard’s a Tory…!?
The Independent said:In 2007 he outed himself as a Conservative supporter, saying: "I had a really good chat with David. As a footballer I don't want to get involved with the campaigning thing but I am a Tory and I really like David Cameron."
I use them to wipe my arse with more like...fnar fnar
It’s unfortunate that the teams at the bottom are so wank that even if Chelshit lose all of their remaining games, they can’t get relegated.
