It's the constant, repetitive, tiresome mockering, and the lack of respect and name calling of e.g. Sir Alex I object to

As I said, if I had gone on like that on YAWN.co.uk, I'd be chucked out immediately. But I respect that I have to thread more carefully when I'm visiting other foras.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Ok, but as a site YAWN is still new-ish and is keeping an eye out for the people who go over the top.

Name calling is common place on any forum and you know it.

If someone comes here and slags off your lot with no justification then surely they have grounds to ban them, or are you saying that people who have posted here for ages made some good and bad points at times, should now watch what they say because you have had enough of it?

pick away...

but don't cry 'fool play' when we have double standards.. this afterall is a Unted forum...

feel free to carry on ;)

No, just keep going

I'm just raising my opinion

Name calling is common on football forums, and if you feel it's justified calling Sir Alex every name under the sun, I'm sure you and your chronies don't object to other fans calling Houllier this and that on your own websites

As I said, it's just my opinion and observations - you're entitled to yours

Ok, i'm used to it anyway.

I'll try and stop calling him a drunken old tramp then.

Course it doesn't...but then I reckon the majority of LFC fans on here can give and take when it comes to banter..

Whereas a lot of the Manc fans spit the dummy if you lot are criticised in any way....and then just go on about Heskey

Bizarre

If you're going to accept Liverpool fans on here you can't decide how they are to behave..

If you get rattled by calling Demento Demento etc then more fool you..its only a nickname just like many others in football pick up, you've even got your own GH smillie on here..who cares?

Come on Davo, half of them feel they have to and you know it. That's why your threads go on for pages every time. It's not that your threads are actually that interesting mate ;)

But can the majority of fans on KT? You're saying that Liverpool fans don't possess dummies. (Apart from those in the team that is).

Supporters are all the same whoever they support and you know it.

So what's bizarre.

I'm saying that the Liverpool fans here are relatively dummy free..I can't speak for every other forum..

I don't think all supporters are the same either...many of your fans have only really tasted success..therefore they cannot handle the idea of their unbeatable perfect Man Utd illusion being shattered

I've not made up my mind if the Liverpool fans on here are dummy free or not.

But I'm not saying all the United fans are either.

At the end of the day Diego has to score. We can support him and go on about how good hs is at this or that but he was bought as a striker, we nicked him from Mddsboro and if had gone there and gone 18 games without scoring we'd all be taking the piss and saying how lucky we were not to have got him. I personally thing that once he scores his 1st goal he'll settle down and end with 10-15 for the season but he has to score soon or else he becomes a laughing stock and SAF's patience wont last forever. I hope he scores soon for his own sake as well as the team's as his confidence will soar and that can only be good and then the threads can be more rounded when discussing his abilities.

Shall we just ignore the fact that he's scored two goals in pre-season already?

He was also scoring in the reserves, but we should ignore those too. And his fantastic goal scoring record for Independiente.

He's a young Uruguayan who's a bit awestruck at being at United, and has stage-fright. Admittedly this is a worrying attitude, but Alex is brilliant at making players feel settled, and getting them out to prove everyone wrong, and I'm sure this approach will work with Forlan - once his luck changes, his confidence will come back and he'll start doing for us what he did for his last club.

Why can you never defend Forlan without bringing someone else into it?

Is it because otherwise its impossible..

Would you live next to a Uruguayan?</strong><hr></blockquote>

I defend Forlan the same way as you defend Heskey, you surely don't expect me to slag him of do you, I used a comparison in the hope that you could understand easier.
Never met a Uruguayan, by the way, but I wouldn't piss on a scouser if he was on fire.

Going round in circles now..

Forlan is ok because he doesn't score, unlike Heskey who does, who you think is shit..

Amazing

;)

The difference btw is that Heskey spends his time on his arse, while Forlan has been linking up the play very well, playing creative passes, good touch, and showing signs that he'd be a good midfielder - you can hardly say that about Heskey.

The difference is that Heskey was bought to be producing immediately. Forlan isn't supposed to be a first choice striker.

Also, Forlan coming from a warm Argentina in the middle of the season means we must allow him to settle. Whereas Heskey was brought in from another Premiership side.

Oh, and also what Neil said. ;)

Both you and Davo have some valid points, but what winds me up is the use of phrases such as 'Fergiscum, Ginsoak and Scum' often used by opposing fans on this site, that is out of order, if you post such language on KT you get tossed off. Let us all be a little more careful in the language we use, banter is fine, abuse is not called for.

So now he's a midfielder?? He was bought as a striker..

Heskey is an excellent foil for Owen and has causes the opposing defence all sorts of problems...but none of this is taken into account when you slate him for lack of goals..

Forlan is clearly your third choice striker, and all claims suggest that his overall play has been good..so it the weather only a factor when it comes to his, to date, appalling finishing?

We'll see the next few years. I would expect 10+ goals from Forlan this season for him to ever be reckoned as a great goalscorer.

Apparently he has a good scoring record in Argentina. And he has scored twice for Uruguay in 2 or 3 performances.

Until he's played a full season, I don't know how anyone can judge.

To the Divvo "Forlan is crap <img src="graemlins/yawn.gif" border="0" alt="[Yawn]" /> thread". Really enlightened thread that and so novel.

Instead just coming across as being rattled and angry..

Dont make me laugh. You rattle somebody. What was it I said about pomposity? Angry or bored? And yer racial slurs (oh I supposed that rattled me - well done hard man).

You are shit..
Heskey is shit..
and Yes I am disappointed, but the truth is, Forlan is shit... and it is not the lack of goals, I just think he is not good enough and think also that we might have better players in the reserves and the youth teams, I am not impressed with his ability and the type of misses is just awful..I say this with sadness and I am sorry for the 7.5mil wasted.

Whats your problem with Demento Itch? Its only a nickname, similar to the many that you have for our manager/players?
