Gaming Football Manager 90s draft (1995/96 season)

Sorry guys, something went wrong with my current simulation with games getting scheduled past even July and season not ending before next season should start. I am trying to sort it out and running the simulation again so everything is correct. I'll start soon.

So my theme was to do a What If? What if Tele Santana was hired to manage Arsenal in 1995 adn they never hired Wenger. While I took some fictional liberties with things like the HG rule I think my side is a fun representation of what this alternate universe might have looked like

Nice! Always think drafts are more fun when you run with a theme. My theme was what would happen with R9 and Henry playing together at their peak?

Added a couple more experienced CB's in case Zoff plays Desailly in midfield/the younger ones don't stack up. Banking on the overpowered WB's+narrow style that seems to work well on FM16/17.

My squad (approx ages, possibly a year younger on game):

GK (2/2): Pagliuca 29, Cañizares 26.
LWB (2/2): Ziege 23, Torricelli 25 (D/WB/M-R/L).
RWB (2/2): Panucci 23, R. Jones 22.
CB (6/6): Desailly 27 (DM/CM), Aldair 30, Ayala 22, Hyypiä 22, Boli 28, M. Wright 31.
DM/CM/AM (6/6): Albertini 24, Sousa 26, Schwarz 26, Tacchinardi 20, Rui Costa 24, Le Tissier 24 (CM/AM/ST).
ST (4/4): Batistuta 27, Ravanelli 27, Sonny Anderson 24, Makaay 20.

Kids (3/3): Capdevila 17, Puyol 17, Gattuso 17.

@Tuppet any chance we can change manager preference for formation. Picked my side based on a 4231 that formation is a travesty... Pearce at right back wtf.

Capello's preferred formation is 4-2-3-1 and defensive formation is 5-3-2 WB, it seem he went with defensive in this game.

Van Basten, Jugovic and Palhinha are injured for your team, MVB & Jugovic should be back for next game though. Santana seem to prefer Giovanni over Bergkamp for some reason.

I haven't checked this database at all but maybe Giovanni is peak and Bergkamp is still a bit underdeveloped? Either way it should be interesting to see what the AI does. At least I predicted Tele's formation accurately.

Intrestingly Wenger is retraining 22 year old Zanetti to be a right winger for team @Šjor Bepo

I can very much imagine current Wenger doing exactly that.

EDIT: Oh and Toninho is starting my first match at 40 years old !

Btw, is Rivaldo injured or does Cruyff prefer Herzog for that #10 role? I know that he isn't at his peak, but I still expected him to start tbh, he already got to Bola de Prata inclusions at that point. @Tuppet
