Yeah sorry about that, I thought no current player was still playing in 95/96 season. Buffon was playing and he is available. I'll amend the OP.

Stunned at how quickly you guys got the auction bit out of the way. Also how, bar a few Neymars, you were all so content letting worldies go for 10M (SAF included).

You can tell a few have banked on CM2 stats not being tinkered with, while many have gone for the wrong CM version. How Brian Laudrup survived the auction is beyond me.

Not specifically. What i can remember it was just a real improvement on the previous game and i have memories of me and a mate spending the summer playing it all the time. You could dive in the game, was real proud of diving and getting a penalty and a red card to the opposition player :lol:

It's a pity they took that out. Diving was good craic. I think they should have dodgy linesmen too that miss offsides and refs that miss bad tackles too. Just to spice it up a bit.

I still have onside for the nes at home in my mother's in Ireland. Have owned a ton of football games over the years. FIFA 98 was something special though. ISS Pro around that era was quality too.

Back in the day when you had to call round to your mates house to play computer games. Kids these days dont know what they're missing.
 
Fifa 98 and fifa 99 were great, 5aside in 98 and tons of skills in 99:drool:

I wonder how much intervention there has been. E.g. Zidane was a LB/LM (true story), Scholes a striker, etc. I assume the big names got tinkered with but someone like Balbo shouldn't have, he wasn't exactly an overrated inclusion by some random scout.

Have no idea how Barnes will be treated either. Apparently he was a beast of a CM during this phase of his career but did CM reflect that?
