Gaming Football Manager 2016

Pogba was a long range shooting beast for me at Barca in one save. He'd smash one in every 4 or 5 games from 30 yards or so as a roaming playmaker. His personality is very big time on there though.

Really? He was fine for me at Dortmund.

Is Memphis good for anyone? Almost 2 seasons gone, and he's still wank.

I use him as an inside forward on the left.

That's a bummer! By a shared account, do you mean a shared Steam account ?

Yes, shared steam account.

Just sold Rojo for £5mill because no-one would touch him despite being valued at £23mill! Due to my over eagerness to sign all the wonderkids i found my midfield has way too many options and teams aren't interested in the players i want to sell, like Mata who had a really good season? Bit annoying. I would have to offer him out at £15m to get offers which would probably start at £10m:lol:

Another annoying thing is putting Tuanzebe out for loan with a non-negotiable offer of first team, yet every offer i get is cover for first team. Even at league 1 level when getting offers from premier league clubs with the same deal.

Lastly, what's people's opinions of Januzaj? Im considering using him in my second season now he's back rather then buying a star player. Part of the reason is the home grown rules but im tempted to cash in on him for £25m+ offers im getting from PSG.

How do you use Memphis?
Inside forward.

He's alright, maintains a good average rating but he doesn't blow away teams like my other players do. I've got too many left wingers with great potential as well. Will have to offload one.

I used Januzaj as back up inside forward on the right while I loaned one of the wonderkids out, it let Januzaj value rise as he played well and gave me time for Shaw to become home grown. Then I sold him for £33m because his determination, decisions and off the ball are all shit and only ever went up by two points no matter who tutored him.

I'd the same issue selling players, had to let Rojo and Fellaini go for £10m each, but it eventually got better. Now having the same problem with Pogba, he's the most expensive rated player in the game at £55m but no one will bid higher than £29m.

How do you train players in a new position now? I don't see an option for it so I just started getting them to play there in training but they then say they aren't happy with the individual training.

Chelsea transfer listed Diego Costa so I signed him for 30 million and sold them Mata for 35 million. Working out fantastically. Martial and Costa is an incredible strike partnership.

Wanted to make one top midfield signing so I went for Veratti for 50 million + Schneiderlin.

I've kept him so far in the hope that he might become top class. He's a squad player, really. Hard to see him out shining the other stars I have. Might have to sell him eventually :(

I see. No one in my squad is really blowing teams away actually :(. Memphis, martial and Kane do the bulk of the scoring, each of them on 20 or so goals. No one really standing out.

I pretty much mean 15 to 20 goals when I say that given most of my attackers are 18-21 year olds.

This season I've got Diego Costa so hopefully he can hit 30 goals.

Luke Shaw is incredible in this. He hit an average rating of 8.00 in my last season which I dont think has ever happened on FM for me. Some 20 assists as well.

I see. I have Kane on 24, martial on 20, Memphis on 16 and barbosa on 12. Barbosa has just 19 starts compared to about 30 for the rest so far.

You've been spoilt by Messi and Ronaldo :D

Memphis has been average for me. Hasn't done much aside from a couple of tap ins and trying his luck (and failing) from long range. He's only playing because Young broke his foot when he was my top scorer and assister and has been out for four months. Embolo has been a bit shit and is a bit part player while Barbosa has done ok. Only signed those 2 players in the summer but Rooney, Martial and Mata have been very good up top.

Also, Valencia is quite deadly when he plays RB. I bring him on for Darmian whenever I need a goal and he's been very effective so far.

Yup. His effectiveness has resulted in me chasing bellerin. Unsettled him, got him to put a transfer request in but wenger won't budge.

I'm at a point where I have so many good players, I'm having to sell some of the younger ones like pereira, januzaj and fosu mensah, but I don't really want too.

I'm trying to give them enough football but it's tough, I've got Lincoln, Mata, reus, Neymar,Memphis, martial, barbosa, embolo and Wilson to try and fit in also.

On the plus side martial is sensational form me, he scored 43 goals in all comps last season.

That's why I decided not to go overboard with transfers (only signed 3 players). Will get rid of Rooney next season if I can and try to give chances to Januzaj and Wilson

Yeah it's difficult when you've got 100+ million a year to spend, the only player I really want is bellerin but Arsenal won't sell for 120m, insane really

fecking game handing me a predetermined loss. Battered Lyon at home but did everything but score. They scored from each of their attacks with who else but Rafael scoring the first. Memphis with a worldie to make it 2-1 and give me a chance for the 2nd leg. Had about 30 shots.

Kane had the keeper beaten and went for a full blown whacking the ball into the net attempt and hit the post

I offered them £100m and a very good rightback on loan for the season and they still said no, despite him asking to leave and everything.

I decided to test Real Madrid and offered them £50m and Pogba for 34 year old Ronaldo. They still said no. I can't buy anyone that would improve me no matter how much cash I have. Not that we need much improving when 16 points clear at the top of the league.

Anyone else rather sell their best players than give in to their agents insane demands? Shaw and Stones are both asking for £275k a week, double their current contracts. Not too annoying since they have been great, the champions league winning bonus I'm not overly happy about. Their agents however both want £5m each and won't negotiate when I lock it at anything less than £4m, which I'm refusing to pay on principle.

Bellerin's not that good anyway, tbh, outside of his tremendous pace, I wouldn't pay anything close to those kinds of numbers for him.
Maybe on your game, on mine he hit 20 assists and averaged over 8.00 the whole season, he's an absolute rocket going forward!

Darmian and mayke are doing a good enough job for me, but why not try and improve I guess.

I want him to take over long term from Rafael who had 26 assists in 29 games last season. The youngster I brought in to be the long term replacement no longer fills me with hope as he argues with everyone that tutors him and his determination is quite low. Fullbacks are very important in my team as they provide the width.

Bellerin is absolutely fantastic in this game! I payed £120m with pleasure for him when I needed to replace Fernandes. Averaging 8.00+++ in 7 seasons in a row now, simply the best performing RB in the game.

What set up do you have for your strikers? I have Kane and Martial rotating with Embolo but not sure how to partner them up. Got them both on attack with Kane as a target man and martial complete forward.

I'm right now playing a 442 (attack) at home with both Martial and Costa as complete strikers (Barbosa and Embolo as backup). Away games I tend to go with a 4231 (control) with Correa/Malcom/Januzaj in behind the striker.

But I'm still tweaking it really. My team tends to score loads but is prone to conceding and struggling away.

I'm also considering selling Barbosa given Embolo is developing far better. Does he turn out to be incredible for anyone or is he dispensable?

Anyone else get Gerson? Paid £41m for him off Roma but his stats are already incredible aged 19.

Memphis has been insanely good for me so far. Him and Mata make things pretty easy.

Wonderkid. Ended up at Roma in my save too, you can get him for 12mil before he goes there. Couldn't fit him in otherwise he's a superstar in the making.

That happened for me too

I tried to hire LVG as director of football but we wouldnt come
He's really pissy about me. cnut calls me average every chance he gets. Just won the league and he calls it a fluke saying I'm bang average and he'll put me in place in the CL tie. Best him 3-1 and he says his players let him down and he still believes I'm shit. Wtf.

Looks like he's successfully got under your skin. LVG...a master of mindgames

Is this the hardest football manager yet :s

I'm playing with 2 friends, and its such a yo yo game. It seems you can go on a nice little run, save it, next time its loaded up, you'll go on an 8 game losing streak...Happening to us all :(

Thanks. I had the tactic working great last season but I couldn't get great consistency out of my strikers. They were both blowing hot or cold through the season.

Does anybody know why they whole team gets demotivated and confused when you assertively tell the defence "i expect a performance"? Its happened loads of times now, ill have to stop doing it. I've let in loads of goals recently so I think i'm being reasonable in my request, haha.

They've made full backs a bit too good in this game. Valencia and Darmian have the sort of assists that they can't even dream of in real life.

Definitely. Give me a rapid full back with excellent crossing and shit defensive attributes any day.

It means you're putting too much pressure on them, try encouraging them saying you know they can make the difference and you believe in them etc. At worst they just won't react. I find expecting performances usually just gets a negative reaction from most players.

Yeah i like exerting my authority once in a while, letting them know im abit moody today because the performances haven't been great. It used to work on previous FMs. I generally use the easy team talks like "carry on from where you left off" etc.
