Yep. I bought Kightly for my Leeds side when I got into the prem in the 10/11 season. Give him a solid run and he should be good for Sunderland.

If you need any indication of how good he can be, I had Manchester United come in with bids of 12-15 million quid for him after half a season. Ended up selling the cnut cos he kicked up a fuss plus I had Mazzarani to cover for him.

Joe Mattock of Leicester is a great young leftback that you can likely pick up on the cheap.

Danny Rose of Spurs(?) can sometimes turn into a good winger, its pretty hit-n-miss but im sure he can do a job for a mid table club either way.

Sometimes Bojan (of Barcelona) is available on the cheap (ie <£5m) which is a crazy deal for a -10 player, if you can persuade him to join you that is!

Oscar Trejo and Edison Cavani are two reasonable strikers that can make the grade for most EPL clubs too.

Well, I was manager of FC Eindhoven, when Empoli had sacked their manager and offered me the rebuilding job. I looked at them and they were 20th and already relegated with one game left (away at AC, the champions). So I took over and lost 3-1 to AC. Then I've spent and rebuilt in the summer, I've played 6, won 5 and drawn 1 of the new season but every board report says they are disappointed and I should be performing better in my role.

I'm under my wage budget, finances are fine, I went out of the cup away to a serie A side. Everything is hunkydorey but the board are unhappy.
 
So I somehow ended up miraculously taking out the league with Genoa, thanks largely to some choking on Fiorentina's behalf.

At this (below) stage I was thinking we were done for as Juventus and Fiorentina had finally overhauled me and my tear-away start to the season.



I'd pretty much given up on the League by that stage, but was happy with finishing with a CL place - which was my aim at the start of the season. But little did I realise the next game Juve and Fiorentina were playing against each other, now if either side won they'd have ended up taking out the League (well Juventus definitely, Fiorentina went on and lost to Lecce after), but they ended up playing out a 0-0 draw. And as my run-in were all practically easybeats I ended up trouncing them all and running on to take out the league.

And here's the final table:

 
Rah, finished my 2nd season with Fiorentina and I won a magical treble.

Here's my mass amounts of transfers, a hell of a lot more than the first season but I was able to sell some of my players for huge money.

Getting 20m for Gilardinho was a beauty, especially as I get Eduardo, a far better striker for the same price. Inter seem willing to buy anyone because they've got a sugar daddy. Guardado and Sakho were big money buys but worth it, they've both been brilliant and Guardado just won player of the year. I sold Montolivo who was my best CM for 21m because the money was too big, and Kuzmanovic has ended up becoming brilliant anyway so it worked out well.

I had it won after 32 games and 89 points and from then on I just started playing my youth players and resting the others for the CL and TIM cup. I bet Real Madrid on penos in the final after a fairly epic 3 - 3 draw.

Bojan, who cost me 4.4m is now worth 30m and he's still 19, and Mutu was still banging them in, overall Mutu had 36 goals and Bojan had 37. Eduardo had 26 because I mainly used him in continental games.

I probably won't buy much in this window even though I've been given a 60m budget, I need a backup MC for Kuzmanovic but apart from that I'll be getting all youth. I got a 18 year old touted as the next Cristiano Ronaldo for 1m!
 
They should be happy next season Spammy, once you're back in the big leagues.

Though did you get dumped out of the Cup early perchance?

Cina, look for the Kuzmanovic's Serbian partner in crime - Gojko Kacar, he's at Hertha Berlin. He's got better stats (in my game, and I just bought him - though in general they're practically the same) and is only slightly older. He's very versatile too.

He gets tired easily though, which is pissing me off.

I lost to Parma, who are in serie a and the board says they understand. It's the club stature bar that is low. Which obviously wasn't my fault.


Cina, I sold Montolivo for £31m to Arsenal ;)
 
Have a look out for Diego Calderon, the LB/WBL/WL - he may not have been bought as yet. He's Ecuadorian.

Same too with Borbon (sp?), who's almost a carbon copy but plays on the right flank.

Both are from South America so if you need to search that will wittle it down a little.
 
Cesc, I'm using an updated db someone posted earlier in the thread. The guy who made it updates it every bloody day, it has almost every transfer from the summer in it.

As for Kacar, my scouts recommended him but they said he wasn't very ambituous and quite injury prone so I went for a lad called Sissoko instead, who seems to have higher potential and was 3m cheaper! Oh, and Kuzmanovic has mental stats in my game :D

I decided to fork out on Ramires too, my main squad only had 17 players last season and seeing as I've the club world cup, Super cup etc this season too I needed a bigger squad, between my very promising youngsters and Ramires and Sissoko I now have 20 players which should be perfect!

I sold De La Red for 11m to Man Utd too, 6 months after paying 5m, I love good business :D

Nah that's a crappy 33 year old winger who wanted first team football, therefore I made him go feck himself.

Thanks for the recommendation though, I could use a promising young CB, Gamberini (who is awesome and now worth 15m) is 29 now, as is Radoi!

i bought gamberini on mine too, but this lad is a wonderkid, 19 year old dane if i remember right, looks quality, already a full international and in my youth team :lol:

He'd be in my youth team. My central defenders (Gamberini and Sakho) combined with my keeper (Frey) just don't really concede goals!

I think I've had a look at that Sissoko, looked quite handy. There was also this young midfielder from Toulouse whose name defeats me ATM (Capoune I think it was) who is excellent.

Bah, how'd you get Ramires? Bloody City offered him much more money than I could. They've signed almost everyone in my game, their reserves could give the league a shake - yet they still struggle.

i have gamberini, samuel and cesar at Inter and they rarely concede, but samuels age is starting to get to him and he's a bit slower and makes a few mistakes so i need to pre-plan for the end of the season!
 
Meh, my Mattock - Vidic - Sakho - Richards lineup with Akinfeev between the posts does pretty well for me ;)

No where but FM can you get fecked over so completely. Started as derby with the objective to qualify for the playoffs.

Not fecking likely! My only good players are e.villa who gets offers every couple weeks to leave and darren gibson who's the only one on my team who can pass. Utd is my parent club and offered him on loan.

The rest of the cnuts are unbelievable. Robbie savage is one of my most expensive players and the guy is the gareth fail of the championship. Cannot win a game with him on the pitch. Did a decent bit of business to get another c.mid and picked up d.costa who had 1 cracking goal in his first game followed by 6 games as the second worst player on the pitch. Then he went and got a 6 mth hip injury. Sitting in 16th and about to be sacked I fear.

i cant help it if the board wants to give me about a £90m transfer budget per season. Honestly, the season im currently in, i had over £100m in the kitty for the first half. I didnt really know what the feck to do with it all when the January window opened, so i just signed up Fabregas and sold Kuzmanovic.

But honestly, there isnt much i can do now, i wish i could just tell the board that i dont want money and they should just focus on paying off the loans or something instead.

Odds are we won't be messing around in the lower levels for too long (though being picked up too early is also a potential problem. In the last one I did a guy who got picked up by his favourite club, Real Madrid, very early, was actually one of the latest to develop fully. He just didn't get enough first team action).

Okay, a warning first. I haven't had people make goalkeepers in these things before, so the balance could be a bit off. If you want to be a keeper, here's what I need in attributes:

As with outfield players, maximum 2 attributes with 16 or more points. Keepers can have one less "1"'s though, with a total of 4 (you don't have to have 4 ones, but you can't have more than that).

Physical Attributes (same attributes as outfielders) - 75 points

Although the good thing about that team is that it's mid table Blue Square Prem and didn't cost me a penny.
