Will Kightly make the step up to the Premier League?
Will Kightly make the step up to the Premier League?
Yep. I bought Kightly for my Leeds side when I got into the prem in the 10/11 season. Give him a solid run and he should be good for Sunderland.
If you need any indication of how good he can be, I had Manchester United come in with bids of 12-15 million quid for him after half a season. Ended up selling the cnut cos he kicked up a fuss plus I had Mazzarani to cover for him.
When the new season had started? I've taken over teams that have gone out of competitions or have done poorly in the league, and to me the Confidence has always said that they won't evaluate me based on the teams performance in that particular competition.
Anyone running this through Wine on Linux? I was trying to set it up the other day, its a pain in the hole
They should be happy next season Spammy, once you're back in the big leagues.
Though did you get dumped out of the Cup early perchance?
cina, is that jorgensen a teenage centre half from kobenhavn? i just spent 15 million on him and put him in my youth team, looks incredible already
Nah that's a crappy 33 year old winger who wanted first team football, therefore I made him go feck himself.
Thanks for the recommendation though, I could use a promising young CB, Gamberini (who is awesome and now worth 15m) is 29 now, as is Radoi!
i bought gamberini on mine too, but this lad is a wonderkid, 19 year old dane if i remember right, looks quality, already a full international and in my youth team
Cesc, I'm using an updated db someone posted earlier in the thread. The guy who made it updates it every bloody day, it has almost every transfer from the summer in it.
As for Kacar, my scouts recommended him but they said he wasn't very ambituous and quite injury prone so I went for a lad called Sissoko instead, who seems to have higher potential and was 3m cheaper! Oh, and Kuzmanovic has mental stats in my game
I decided to fork out on Ramires too, my main squad only had 17 players last season and seeing as I've the club world cup, Super cup etc this season too I needed a bigger squad, between my very promising youngsters and Ramires and Sissoko I now have 20 players which should be perfect!
I sold De La Red for 11m to Man Utd too, 6 months after paying 5m, I love good business
He'd be in my youth team. My central defenders (Gamberini and Sakho) combined with my keeper (Frey) just don't really concede goals!
Any one of our teams could beat each other (apart from Xander) to be honest. Considering I've spent 30m expenses on transfers compared to your gargantuan amounts though Walrus, I'm happy
The Football Experiment
Okay, might as well get started. I'll do the "start out as youngsters in random clubs" one, as that's the one I've done before, and I've got it mostly worked out. If it goes well, there's not a too long stretch from the players you make for this and the players you can have if I do a "same club" idea. I've also got a rather ambitious club/manager/league sort of idea which I might want to try if this is a success, but all in due time!
Here's what I need from you, if you still want to "play":
General:
Name: Spammy
Date of Birth (not year, we'll all be 1993): 07/07
City of Birth (optional): Liverpool
Nation: England
Position (you can pick two 'natural' ones, like DR/DL or CM/DM); you don't have to pick two, though): AMC/ST
Preferred Squad Number (you can pick the same as someone else, doesn't matter): 10
Disliked clubs (I won't do favoured clubs (so everyone but Spammy doesn't end up at United), but everyone can pick 2 disliked clubs): Man Utd and Everton
Preferred foot (left/right 1-20): 10-20
Height/weight (optional): 184cm
Attributes:
You must give every stat a number, you can't enter 0. You can use "1" a total of 5 times, and you can only use 16 or over 2 times.
Mental Attributes - 155 points
Aggression:2
Anticipation:12
Bravery:8
Composure:15

Natural Fitness:13

Stamina:10

We'll start out at 110/200. It's very high for players that are so young, but then we're supposed to be top class talents. Odds are we won't be messing around in the lower levels for too long (though being picked up too early is also a potential problem. In the last one I did a guy who got picked up by his favourite club, Real Madrid, very early, was actually one of the latest to develop fully. He just didn't get enough first team action).
The "Person Data Attributes" will be the same for everyone, and here's what I'm thinking.
Adaptability: 20
Ambition: 20
Controversy: 15
Determination: 20
Loyalty: 5
Pressure: 20
Professionalism: 15
Sportsmanship: 10
Temperament: 20.
Should make for an interesting game.
Preferred Moves - Pick up to three
If there's any questions, feel free to ask. Hopefully I haven't missed anything vital. And no cheating!
Goalkeepers
Okay, a warning first. I haven't had people make goalkeepers in these things before, so the balance could be a bit off. If you want to be a keeper, here's what I need in attributes:
As with outfield players, maximum 2 attributes with 16 or more points. Keepers can have one less "1"'s though, with a total of 4 (you don't have to have 4 ones, but you can't have more than that).
Physical Attributes (same attributes as outfielders) - 75 points
Mental Attributes (again same attributes) - 125 points
Technical/Keeper Attributes - 120 points
First Touch:
Passing:
Technique:
Aerial Ability:
Command of Area:
Communication:
Eccentricity:
Handling:
Kicking:
One on Ones:
Reflexes:
Rushing Out:
Tendency to Punch:
Throwing:
I propose that cina be plagued by bollock rot for his entire career.
