You have to choose the 8.0.2 database when you start up a new game.
Oh right. I don't remember being given a choice.
How do i create another database? do i have to re-install the game?
No, you can edit the database as much as you want and then just choose what database you want to use when you start a new game.
It's on a drop down menu GE.

Try going into your hard drive in My Computer and deleting FM Manually from there after uninstalling, that may help.

I'm planning on buying Football Manager 2009. I've heard SI release broken cracks of their games onto the Internet to sucker people into cracking their games and these games usually end up with stupid things such as Andorran teams winning the Champions League easily or bizarre AI.

I've bought every version since 2000(championship manager and all). If you like the game enough you should make the effort to go out and buy it.

I always buy them. Then again, I haven't got the computer skills to download it illegally. I wouldn't have the faintest clue how to do it. It's easier buying it for me.
